Abstract

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the results of the development of scientific-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) in improving critical thinking ability and to look at the development of worksheets in terms of feasibility, effectiveness, teacher response and student response. This research uses Research and Development (R & D) method to produce LKPD. The development model used in the research is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages namely analysis, design, development, planning and evaluation. The type of data used is skinative and quantitative data. Instruments used in the form of questionnaires and learning outcomes. The results of the study, from the validation results of material experts obtained a score of 84 with a good category and the results of validation media experts obtained a score of 90 with a very good category. The results of the teacher's response obtained a score of 93 with excellent categories and the correlation result of the teacher's response expressed a positive correlation to scientific-based LKPD. For learners to get a correlation value of 0.95, that means there is a strong correlation to scientifically based LKPD. While kappa test obtained by 0.60 with strong category. For effectiveness test if ρ value < 0.05 then H0 rejected, so Ha accepted. In conclusion, scientific-based LKPD effectively improves the critical thinking ability of learners, there are influences both before and after the use of worksheets developed in learning. Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets (LKPD) patterned claim, data, warrant (CDW) on human respiratory system material and find out how teachers respond and student responses and the effect of using LKPD on student argumentation ability. The development model used in this research is addie development model consisting of 5 stages, namely analysis, planning, development, implementation and evaluation. The development of this LKPD uses due diligence based on expert validation of materials and validation of media experts, as well as teacher response and student response. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The results of both validators state that LKPD is worthy of testing. Furthermore, the results of the teacher's response also stated that the LKPD is feasible in the trial with a score of 93%. Then the results of the odd and even group student response were obtained from kappa test of 0.673 with high category and correlation test of 0.806 with very strong category. This means that the two groups of students have been in touch and agreed to state that LKPD is worthy of trial. In conclusion, students can understand the problem of claims, data, warrant (CDW) arguments judging by the score of the paired sample t test of 0.000 which means that there is an influence of the use of student worksheets (LKPD) on students' argumentation ability. Abstract

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of product collection of items about argumentation pattern claim, data, and warrant against the arguments of students in the subjects of biology respiratory system material at SMA IX Negeri 2 Jambi City. This research uses ADDIE model (Analysis, Desaign, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection methods used in this research are interview methods, questionnaires, and tests. The results showed the development of a collection of questions in sma negeri 2 jambi school with 10 questions and 6 respondents who gave pretest and posttest questions, then got a pretest result of 1.23 and a posttest average score of 3.75. Based on t paired test sample t tests obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000< 0.05 then H0 rejected and Ha received, there is an influence on the collection of points of argumentation on the ability of students argumentation in SMA Negeri 2 Jambi City. In conclusion, the product of a collection of argument-patterned claims, data, and warrants (SDW) developed influenced the argumentation of students in the subjects of respiratory system material biology at SMA IX Negeri 2 Jambi City. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to isolate and identify the type of probiotic potential bacteria in the digestive tract of semah fish (Tor sp.) originating from Batang Merangin river, Jambi Province. Semah fish sampling was carried out at three observation stations namely Batang Merangin river watershed, Station I was located in Talang Kawo Village, station II was located in Guguk Village and station III was located in Muara Emat Village. In Station I, 4 fish were obtained, station II obtained 5 fish and station III obtained 2 fish. The total length of the fish obtained ranges from 16cm-22 cm. Of all the samples of semah fish obtained, all are species of Tor tambroides. Conclusion, the results of isolation and identification of potential probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract of fish (Tor tambroides) living in the Batang Merangin river obtained two genus of probiotic potential bacteria namely Bacillus sp. and Alcaligenes sp. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the solid influence of different spreads on the growth rate of rice eels in bioflok media. This study used Complete RandomIzed Design (RAL) with 3 treatments and 3 repeats, namely; solid spread 5 tails / 15 cm water level, solid spread 10/15 cm water level and solid spread 15/15 cm water level. As a result of the study, the growth value of eel weight with the spread of 5 heads 32.8gr, the spread of 10 heads of 10.56 gr and the distribution of 15 heads of 7.19. The growth value of the spread length of 5 tails is 7.73 cm, the spread of 10 tails is 6.44 cm and the distribution of 15 tails is 5.17 cm. Inference, the dense distribution of different gives a very noticeable influence on the growth of rice field eel seeds (Monopterus albus). As well as solid distribution of 5 heads / 15cm water level gives the best results to the growth of rice eels seeds (Monopterus alus) so that Bioflok does not affect water quality. The distribution of rice eel seed (Monopterus albus) should not be at too high a density because it can inhibit the growth rate of rice eels. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of high tides on fluctuations in the speed of flow and water level of the river in the estuary palu. The method used in this study was simulation using HEC-RAS (Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System) software. This simulation was carried out with the topography of Palu river to downstream (estuary) as geometric input, flow discharge as upstream and tidal inputs as downstream inputs and sediment as input gradation granules. The simulation result of HEC-RAS program on fluctuations in flow speed and river water level in Palu river estuary is as follows the impact of tidal influence that occurs in palu river estuary along ± 912 m to upstream of the river at sp16 point. Changes in riverbed elevation in the estuary at the end of the simulation duration ranged from -0.265 m to -0.205 based on high tides at maximum duration. In conclusion, analysis of unstedy flow obtained the impact of tidal influences that occurred in the estuary sumgai Palu along ± 912 m to the upstream of the river. So it can be stated the relationship, that the greater the discharge flowing the higher the elevation of the tides produced. Keywords: Tidal, HEC-RAS, Estuary, River Discharge

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of ethanol extract of makasar fruit (Brucea Javanica) against the decrease in uric acid levels of male Mus Muculus. This research is an experimental study using RAL technique using male mencit test animals, Treatment 4 groups divided into P0 (Aquades), P1 (Allopurinol 10 mg/g BB) P2 (chicken liver extract + 100 mg/kgBB), P3 (chicken liver + extract 200 mg/kgBB). The administration of makasar fruit extract can lower the levels of squeaky uric acid induced by the suspension of chicken liver. The administration of makasar fruit extract based on the average value is better in lowering blood uric acid levels than allopurinol drugs, based on different tests with LSD method of decreasing uric acid levels in the positive control group and the treatment group did not have a meaningful difference (p ≥ 0.05). In conclusion, makasar ethanol extract (Brucea Javanica) effectively significantly lowers the uric acid levels of male Mus Muculus than the drug allopurinol, but has no meaningful difference between the treatment group and the control group. Abstract

This research aimed to inventory freshwater fish species in Batang Merangin River and Nilo river in Merangin Regency, Jambi. The research had been conducted from July- December 2018. It used descriptive survey method. Sampling of fish species was done purposively at 08.00 am-05.00am and 07.00pm-00am by using fishing rod, fishing net, fish spear, fishing fork. The result showed that totally 53 species of fish was catched classified to 16 families from Batang Merangin and Nilo river. In Batang Merangin was found 52 species, while in Nilo river was found 32 species. The families were Cyprinidae (22 species), Channidae (3 species), Mastacembelide (3 species), Botidae (2 species), Bagridae (7 species), Siluridae (2 species), Ospronemidae (2 species), Balitoridae (2 species), Pangasidae (2 species), Cynoglossidae (1 species), Clariidae ( 1 species), Akysidae (1 species), Notopteridae (1 species), Belonidae (1 species) , Cobitidae (1 species), dan tetraodontidae (1 species). Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of science literacy ability of MTs learners in Jambi city based on Scientific Literacy Assessments (SLA) instruments. The research method used is quantitative method with descriptive research type. The subjects in this study were students of MTs Negeri 2 Jambi city and MTs Laboratory UIN STS Jambi City. The study sampled 98 students. Based on the results of the study, the average achievement of science literacy ability of learners in the low category with a score of 50.01. Of the five aspects of science literacy, only one aspect is in the high theories, namely science motivation and beliefs with a score of 75.53, three aspects are in the low category, namely role of science with a score of 50.26, science and society with a score of 51.17 and mathematics in science with a score of 50.34 while the scientific thinking and doing aspect is in the very low category with a score of 27.78. In conclusion, the average literacy achievement of MTs learners with scientific literacy assessments (SLA) instruments in the low category. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) models in learning in schools. This form of research is literature studies. The method used is descriptive qualitative to analyze the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Data collection techniques use documentation, by searching journals relevant to Problem Based Learning (PBL) through Sinta and Google Scholar (Google Scholar) with the research journal period of 2015-2020. The keyword used for journal search is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The journals obtained as many as 231 journals were then selected 41 journals that met the criteria for further analysis. Based on the results of analysis from 41 journals that obtained information; 1) Problem Based Learning (PBL) model found in the field of science that is often applied in schools with a percentage of 77% and in the field of mathematics studies with a percentage of 31%; 2) the application of pbl model has a positive effect on learners, (3) the impact of Problem Based Learning model in learning can increase interest in learning, problem solving ability, learning motivation, critical thinking, and learner learning outcomes. In conclusion, problem based learning models based on literature review results have a positive impact in improving students' learning abilities and interests.
