Abstract

Economic conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic caused portfolio changes when the stock market experienced volatility in March 2020. This impact had an impact on the weak performance of the IDX30 so that many investors experienced panic selling at that time. This is due to the lack of investor knowledge about the formation of stock portfolios, one of which is by using CAPM. This study aims to analyze the formation of a stock portfolio measured using CAPM and analyze the presence / absence of differences in the evaluation of stock portfolio performance as measured using the Sharpe index, Treynor index and Jensen index. These results show the H0 hypothesis is accepted which means that there is no significant difference between testing with the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen methods both before and during the Covid 19 pandemic. The test results between treatments both before the Covid-19 pandemic showed that the third difference in the average ranking of the Treynor index, while during the covid-19 pandemic it was the Jensen Index which showed the greatest consistency with the uncertainty between the three measurements.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive business world presents many challenges for the business world, one of which is financing. Most companies choose loans because they use them to get tax savings on company profits. So far, mining companies in Indonesia have continued to experience a decline in the development phase. Due to the ups and downs of mining, mining companies often carry out debt policies as a way to finance company operations in the hope of increasing profits or otherwise providing risk. Debt can also increase the value of the company if used properly. This study aims to determine the effect of company size, liquidity and profitability on debt policy in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2020. Several previous studies on debt policy have different results. Therefore, other research needs to be done to retest the theory of debt policy. The population of this research is 46 mining companies. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method, so that 18 sample companies were obtained for 3 years of observation (2018-2020) with 54 observations (observations). The research data was obtained from a sample of companies downloaded from the Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The process of data analysis that is carried out first is the classical assumption test, multiple analysis and then hypothesis testing. The results of the study that profitability has a negative and significant effect on debt policy, liquidity has a negative and significant effect on debt policy and firm size has a negative and insignificant effect on debt policy.

Abstract

The term portfolio is often used to provide an understanding of a set of investments owned by investors in various types of investment instruments such as bonds, mutual funds, stocks, properties, and so on. To measure whether the portfolio carried out by investors has provided an optimal level of return, investors need to measure the performance of their placed investments. The Transportation & Logistics sector is expected to experience a negative impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The main problem in this study lies in measuring portfolio performance for companies that are included in the Transportation & Logistics Sector where portfolio performance before the Covid pandemic will be compared with portfolio performance during the Covid pandemic. The purpose of this study is to test and analyze whether the increase or decrease in the Transportation and Logistics Sector stock index is caused by differences in portfolio performance before and during the Covid pandemic. The research method used in this case is a quantitative descriptive method. Data analysis methods in this study include normality test followed by paired sample t-test (if normally distributed) and Wilcoxon test (if not normally distributed). The results showed that there were no significant differences regarding the performance of stock portfolios for companies listed in the Transportation and Logistics Sector during the COVID-19 pandemic when compared to the stock portfolio performance in the period before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The population of this study is all construction service companies of State-Owned Enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period before the Covid-19 pandemic (2018-2019) and during the Covid-19 pandemic (2020-2021), totaling 4 companies. The data source used in this study is secondary data, from annual reports. In this study, the analytical methods used are descriptive quantitative analysis and inferential analysis. Inferential statistical analysis used in this study were paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of the overall hypothesis test show that there are differences in financial performance between before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, state-owned construction service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Over the past four years, infrastructure development carried out by state-owned construction companies has experienced a good increase. Problems occurred when the spread of the Covid-19 virus began in 2019 which resulted in 2020 infrastructure development being delayed. The delay in the end also affected the financial condition of SOEs. For companies, profits are not only ways and efforts to increase them, but also think about what to do to improve company performance so that they can maintain stability, growth and achievement on profits. The company's performance is related to the company's efforts in managing the resources it has in generating profits that can increase the company's prosperity.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the determinants of financial statement fraud detection with the Beneish M-Score, F-Score and Altman Z-Score models. The difference between this study and the previous study is that this study adds the F-Score model variable which is a financial statement fraud detection model developed using the scaled logistic probability technique. The population of this study is all banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples in this study were perbankan that met the purposive sampling criteria. Based on the results of statistical tests obtained from the results of the study, the Beneish M-Score model has a significant effect on the financial statementt fraud variables, namely the Gross Margin Index (GMI) and the Asset Quality Index (AQI) variable while the Days Sales in Receivables Index (DSRI) variable, Leverage Index (LVGI), Total Accruals to Total Assets (TATA), and the Sales General and Administrative Expenses Index (SGAI) have no effect on the financial statement fraud variable. The F-Score variable states that only the Change in cash sales (Ch CS) variable has a significant effect on financial statement fraud while the change in receivable variable (Ch Rev), change in inventories (Ch Inv) and the change in earnings variable (Ch Ear) have a significant effect on the financial statement fraud variable. Meanwhile, the Altman Z-Score variable states that the Z-Score1 variable and the Z-Score3 variable have a significant effect on the financial statement fraud variable while the Z-Score2 variable and the Z-Score5 variable have no significant effect.
