<![CDATA[This article entitled : Analisis Unsur Intrinsik dan Nilai-Nilai yang Terkandung dalam Cerpen Mirror, Mirror on The Wall karya Dewi Lestari.” The writer wants to show the theme, the characters, setting, and plot of the Cerpen. The writer used a structural approach method in conducting this research. In the structural approach method, the writer completed the research by studying the internal aspects of the cerpen. Based on the analysis, it indicates that major-protagonist character in Mirror, Mirror on The Wall, Saya because the story is dominated by Saya. Mereka is called the major-antagonist character because they are the master mind of the conflict. The theme of the story is about life is made of choices. The setting of the story are place, time, social that connects to the main character.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to explain the pattern of language selection in speech acts between Indonesian language and mother tongue of migrants; Explaining the migration process of migrant language; Identify and explain the pattern of migrant language shift in Semarang City; and explains the contributing factors of shifting and maintaining the language of migrants. Sampling using cluster sampling technique followed by random sampling. Data collection using observation or referring method, stereo interview, and in-depth interview. Data analysis used descriptive statistics (single and cross frequency distribution table) and qualitative descriptive. Qualitative analysis by means of categorical analysis followed by theoretical meanings and conclusions. The results of this study indicate a shift in mother tongue in the domestic realm. Most of the migrants in Semarang City use Bahasa Indonesia more often than their mother tongue. However, there are some migrants who still maintain their mother tongue among the traditional migrants residing in the kampong area. In the family domain, married migrants whose mother tongue is the same as the mother tongue (husband or wife), are more likely to use a combination of mother tongue and Indonesian to communicate in both family and family affairs.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to express the trust and hegemony in the "Broker" short story by Sri Lima R.N. This research is motivated by the idea that language in fiction or short stories is meaningful and indicated not to be neutral. The language in the short story, became the media for sending message content to the author as a reflection of the social community referred to. The approach used in this study is the sociology of literature, specific to the study of Gramsci hegemony. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Research data obtained from text, words, phrases, sentences, contained in short stories related to trust and hegemony. The research data is then described and expressed based on the approach used. The results of the study show that there was a change in the characteristics of Handoko's character as a broker who was initially good, become opportunist. Brokerage profession is used as a tool to hegemony the public to get profits. Community trust in brokers and people who are considered smart also grow. However, Handoko's figure was eventually protested by people who had used their services and failed. Handoko or brokers run away from the protests and demands of the people.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of pragmatic strategy in the journalistic process has an effect on the image of the person who has been reported. Directly or not, imaging of political figures to public figures is influenced by pragmatic strategies packed with journalists in the news media. Political figures until the public figure collaborate to create an interesting impression. An interesting impression or positive image will change the concept of society over this overnight assessment. The higher the pragmatic power journalists developed in writing the news, the better the quality of the news will be. In accordance with the results of pragmatic strategy research on Headline news on Republika.co.id can be concluded that in the creation of news headlines have implemented pragmatic strategy. The dominant pragmatic strategy used is the illocution act. The illusionary strategy becomes dominant because the news content that is headlined is dominated by political and economic news. So the development of explaination techniques more highlighted.]]>

<![CDATA[The material object in this study is the jaran kepang Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budaya art group located in Semarang Regency. Using the arts management theory and qualitative research methods and in-depth interviews, this study aims to analyze the management system used in the arts group. The data acquisition supports the results of the research, in the form of (1) the planning stage, consisting of weekly, monthly, and incidental work programs carried out by the Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budoyo art group; (2) organizing stage is the activity of sorting work according to organizational structure and fostering members; (3) the stage of supervision / controlling ,consisting of the introduction, implementation and saving back, and (4) the evaluation stage, namely the stage of evaluation of the success or failure of the activities carried out by the art group. Of the four stages carried out it can be said that the Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budaya group is a traditional arts group with a good management system, even though the process of regeneration and financial management is not optimal enough, because there is no separation of leaders on the artistic and production sides, even though the selection and management of the right management will make traditional arts groups are more optimal in existence.]]>

<![CDATA[The study of the use of particles “lah” in command phrases in some references is always "claimed" is the result of linguistic (theory) application, the field of syntax. Actually, the results of the existing study is in line with the application of (theory) pragmatic, because it has been determined on the “lah” function/role in the sentence. Therefore, the objectives addressed in this article are: trying to prove that the results of an existing study are implicitly a pragmatic (theory) application. Such proof has never been done, so it is interesting to discuss.The application of the review method departs on the linguistic research implementation, which is fundamental to three strategic stages: data provision, data classification and analysis, and report preparation.The evidence of the result of an existing study implicitly by applying (theory) pragmatics, the presence of “lah” particles in the sentence is said to function / act as: 1. affirmation, 2. refiners, 3. focusing, 4. politeness, and 5. topikalisasi (command sentence).]]>

<![CDATA[Advertisement is a tool to convey a message from the produser to the consumer. Advertisement has a very important power as a marketing tools that helps selling things or services.The function of advertisement is to affect people buying things or use the service that the producer produced. Advertising language is included in business variety and one of the language which is used in communication. What kind of communication function includes in a printed media discourse which is discussed in this working paper. This research data source comes from Suara Merdeka , Jawa Pos newspaper, and Femina magazine. The research method which is used is a descriptive method. Based on the research result it was found the six language functions in a discourse of printed media . they are the expressive function, directive function, informational function, metalingual function, poetic function, and imaginative function. <![CDATA[The existence of social media makes it easy for people to communicate and express themselves and so on. so there is an urge to express or inform something not only information but provide entertainment in the form of humor. In certain situations certain themes will emerge, for example during the month of Ramadan there will be humor themes related to events or activities related to Ramadan such as, when starving, breaking fast, sahur, forgiveness-forgiveness, holiday allowances, etc. . Humor is done in order to wait for the maghrib drum to be delivered so that there is activity during the fasting. In general, communicating humor gives each other humor that mobile phone users have. <![CDATA[This paper will review the narrative structure in Hikayat Nur Muhammad (HNM). The theory used is Aristotels and Abrams theory that is narrative structure of introductory unit, opening unit, middle unit and closing unit. The object of this study is the script of Nur Muhammad collection of the National Library of Jakarta with the number Bat. Gen. 378 C / Ml. 378 C. HNM is an old literary work of genre saga. HNM belongs to a kind of biographical narrative that has a narrative structure consisting of narrative units each of which has certain content categories, namely the opening unit, the middle and the cover. The introductory unit, the opening, the middle unit is the part that contains the core of the story. This unit is the most dominant and most important. The middle unit of the HNM contains the story of the patience and submission test that Nur Muhammad must undergo, the events of Nur Muhammad's creatures and dialogue with the four elements. The concluding unit is the conclusion of the image of the greatness of Nur Muhammad's character which further strengthens the image of the greatness of the Prophet Muhammad who was the beginning of this creation. Narrative Structure HNM supports the image of greatness, greatness and goodness of Nur Muhammad as a lover of God from whom created this universe.]]>
