Abstract

This research is a cultural research. The theme is the existence of culture in Tanjung village, Pakis Aji, Jepara. This research is aimed at finding out khasanah about the existence of local culture happened in Tanjung village. This study uses an ethnoghrapy approach to find out the exixtence the Reog, Barongan, and Janggrong culture in Tanjung village. The findings of this research are: 1) The existence of Reog, Barongan, and Ketoprak culture have been started to be faded. This is because of aversing of young generatios in that village to study and practice about the cultures. Fortunaltely, there is a prominent figure who can perform Reog, Barongan, and Ketoprak; 2) whereas the Janggong culture has been lost in that village. It is because the performer of Janggong passed away. Fortunately, a gong buyut that is a tool of Janggrong is still exist until now. This tool is as an evidence of archaeological site occured in Tanjung village.

Abstract

Public speaking is a person's skill to be able to speak in public. In public speaking activities, there is a need for harmony between the speaker and listener so both can communicateeach other well. The purpose of this study was to describe the form of Verbal and Non-verbal Communication Implementation in Public Speaking Activities for Students at the Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Amtsilati Putri Bangsri Jepara. These problems were discussed through field studies. The data obtained through free interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results showed that the public speaking activities of students at the Darul Falah Islamic boarding school Amtsilati Putri Bangsri Jepara were: (1) Forms of verbal communication implemented in Public speaking activities in the form of spoken words, use of language and understanding of the meaning of the material delivered by the speaker. (2) Forms of nonverbal communication implemented in public speaking activities of santri at Darul Falah Amtsilati Putri Islamic boarding school in the form of spatial and temporal cues, including visual cues (kinesic, facial expression and eye contact), hand signals, and the use of vocal cues which include paralinguistic sound quality and vocalization.

Abstract

The present study intends to investigate the changing of students’ behavior during driving. The changing is influenced by the implementation of social campaign of safety riding by utilizing waste batik cloth material in Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon. This study applies posters, as the media, concerning social campaign of safety riding made of waste batik cloth material in Cirebon. Nineteen students from entire study program in Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon are chosen as the objects/participants in this study. This study employs a quantitative study. The data are obtained through an instrument namely closed questionnaires. The result of the study indicates that there is a difference attitude among students after the social campaign of safety riding utilizing waste batik cloth material is implemented with the statistical score 5, 09537.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of cultural propaganda in the Book of Al Ibriz by KH Bisri Mustofa. The Book of Al Ibriz is one of the books written by KH Bisri Mustofa which is famous in the field of Qur'anic interpretations written in Javanese and with pegon characters. With this interpretation, the efforts of KH Bisri Mustofa ground the Qur'an with the approach of local culture, namely Javanese culture. This study uses content analysis method with a qualitative approach. Through Al Ibriz Interpretation Al Ibriz KH Bisri Mustofa seeks to understand the contents of the Qur'anic content to Javanese people, especially among pesantren and rural communities with a cultural approach. Starting from the choice of language, script and interpretation all adapted to the conditions of the Javanese community.

Abstract

Bullying is an aggressive behavior that someone does intentionally and repeatedly against someone with the aim of hurting, either physically or mentally. Bullying activities can occur anywhere and anytime, including career women. For women who play a dual role, namely as a mother and a career in bullying can have an impact on their lives, both personal life and social life. In this case the author focuses on cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is an intentional and repeated aggressive behavior with the aim of harassing or hurting the victim through technological devices. The types of cyber bullying are flaming, harassment, denigration, impersonation, outing and trickery, exclusion, and cyber stalking. Each type of cyber bullying has a psychological impact on victims. This paper attempts to conceptually answer the psychological impact caused by cyber bullying for career women. Given the rapid advances in technology, especially in the realm of social media that is not balanced with the ability to use it.

Abstract

The amount of rape case in Indonesia is quiet high, then in the end it mostly cause the pregnancy. The decision of the rape victim to keep their pregnancy and nurture the baby becomes a very hard point, thus need private accompaniment. It is in line to what the Legal Resoure Center does for the gender equality and human rights (LRC-KJHAM) that creates working groups. The focus is on human rights, especially women and childrens. This research aims to describe the therapeutic communication steps that are conducted as the efforts of recovering the victim’s psychology. This research is a qualitative research and using the descriptive analysis method. The result shows that the companion employs five steps of therapeutic communication, such as Pre interaction step, Initiation step, Orientation step, Working step and Termination step. The companion does various strategies that are adjusted to the case’s condition and situation thus every steps of therapeutic are exceeded.

Abstract

Women and beauty, are certainly two things that are difficult to separate. The expansion of a number of beauty contests seems to be an event as well as a forum for women to display their ability to achieve a "beautiful" conception according to certain criteria. For this reason, this paper attempts to analyze qualitatively how the image of women is determined in the construction of beauty that shaped socially. Through analysis of literature, this paper attempts to explain how women are represented in a number of beauty contest, both national and international, on packaging the beauty in all aspects is the highest achievement for a woman. However, the construction of women's image in the beauty context ultimately leads to the commodification of women's bodies which should become their autonomy.
