Abstract

This research presents the development of a real-time attendance system utilizing facial recognition, which incorporates three main components: the MobileNet Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for classification, Multi-task Cascaded Convolutional Networks (MTCNN) for face detection, and Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) for image preprocessing. The model was trained on a curated subset of the Labeled Faces in the Wild (LFW) dataset, containing 20 categories with 50 images each, and evaluated using a locally captured dataset. Training was conducted on Google Colab using a pre-trained MobileNet model that was fine-tuned with 800 images, while 200 images were used for validation. System performance was assessed through several metrics, including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and a confusion matrix. The model achieved a validation accuracy of 86% and an average F1-score of 0.85, reflecting high classification accuracy. To enhance usability, the system was implemented within a Python-based graphical user interface (GUI), which automates attendance tracking and records data directly into Excel spreadsheets. This study highlights the potential of integrating lightweight CNN architectures with effective preprocessing techniques and real-time GUI applications to create a reliable, efficient, and practical biometric attendance system

Abstract

Shopee is one of the most popular online marketplaces in Indonesia, with more than 103 million users in 2023. Most users consider factors such as customer reviews, ratings, prices, and free shipping promotions before making a purchase. Analyzing user reviews is essential to understand consumer perceptions of services, identify satisfaction or dissatisfaction, and detect potential issues that need to be addressed. However, sentiment analysis faces challenges in processing text with diverse language styles, structures, and informal expressions. To overcome these challenges, this study applies machine learning algorithms—Support Vector Machine (SVM) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)—for classifying sentiment in Shopee user reviews. Data labeling using the Lexicon InSet method produced 9,509 positive reviews (47.55%), 7,686 negative reviews (38.43%), and 2,805 neutral reviews (14.03%). Based on the Confusion Matrix results, SVM outperformed KNN, particularly in classifying negative and neutral sentiments with higher accuracy. These findings indicate that SVM is a more effective and efficient model for sentiment analysis of user reviews on the Shopee platform.

Abstract

The tourism sector is able to increase regional income, one of them is local cultural tourism. Cirebon as a cultural heritage city, it makes cultural tourism as leading regional tourism. Cirebon government always promote the leading cultural tourism of Cirebon city to tourists. However, the limited presentation of information to tourists has made some sectors of local cultural tourism untouched by tourists. The purpose of this research is to map the leading cultural tourism objects to be implemented into a system that can provide information of location and description for cultural tourism objects. In this research, the data was used the map of Cirebon city and 15 types of research object data in the tourism sector. They were processed and implemented into a Geographical Information System (GIS) and will be able to become a medium for Cirebon government to promote its leading cultural tourism.

Abstract

Server is a host device applications to serve every request in finding information needs. The server must fully support the services used for the organization's digital needs 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, and 365 days in a year. The concept of High Availability is needed to maintain the quality of server services. The algorithm used to build HA can use both classical and modern algorithms. The algorithm used in this research is using backpropagation neural network. In this study, the parameter values to obtain optimal accuracy are learning rate 0.1, training data 80 and test data 20, the number of nodes in hidden layer 4, minimum error 0.0001, and the number of iterations 2500.The best accuracy value using these parameters is 93.79% .

Abstract

Spices and herbs are biological resources that have long played an important role in human life. In the current pandemic where our bodies have an immune system that can manage the body's power, but the factors of age, lifestyle and regular use of drugs can affect the level of body power, therefore this spice has been considered to provide health and this has led to the demand for spices. high enough. The continuous use of spices, both from the household sector to the industrial sector, makes consumers have to find or buy these spices every day to the market or to spice collectors for industrial consumers. To meet market needs and consumer needs directly, therefore the proposed solution to overcome this problem is to use e-commerce media. The system development model used in making this information system is the SDCL (System Development Life Cycle) waterfall (Waterfall) or classic life flow. The stages that are passed in the system analysis and design process include: system requirements analysis, design, code generator, testing and support. From the results of this study, it is hoped that the existence of this spice sales information system can help farmers, especially spice producers, in terms of increasing the selling power of their agriculture, making it easier to carry out promotions, sales transactions to produce sales reports.

Abstract

Dashboard-based data visualization has various information is an option for presenting data is expected to support decision making. The ease of the dashboard isn't perfect, but it also has weakness. The nature of heuristic thinking makes users behave inconsistent with the rational decision-making process tobe an important issue. This study was conducted to explain the heuristic thinking behavior phenomenon from dashboard-based data visualization in the decision-making process. A qualitative approach is used with procedures and data collection based on interview techniques, observation and literature study. Data were observed from the National Hospital, Surabaya. The result is there is a bias in seeing data in a visual form, someone will tend to simplify the decision-making process. The contribution of this study is heuristic thinking on dashboard-based data visualization which can lead users to make irrational decisions.

Abstract

The implementation of guidance in two directions is carried out by discussing, conducting questions and answers, providing input and other activities. However, sometimes the guidance process carried out face-to-face experiences many obstacles so the coaching process does not run optimally and it is not as expected. The most common obstacle is when the supervisor is unable to attend the final assignment guidance. Communication barriers between students and supervisors also affect the success of the final assignment. Hence, it is necessary to develop a way to have the obstacles can overcome better. The method used to solve these problems using the system development life cycle method. The solution is currently using sms or online facilities such as email, social media, or the cloud from a third party. With this system, if face-to-face guidance activities are not possible, the process of preparing student final assignments can be carried out in order to be on time for the graduation of students in the institutions.

Abstract

Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam, it is obligatory for every Muslim to do it. In fact, there are still many Muslims who do not understand the types of zakat, zakat calculation, payment and processing of zakat, causing them forget to pay zakat. Moreover, in this modern era, people want do anything fast and practical. Abstract

The development of social media today makes changes to marketing methods. Marketing using social media is a cheap solution and does not pose a high risk for the users. With social media, it can be used a way to increase brand awareness. An effective digital marketing media is needed to increase brand awareness, one of them is Facebook ads. In the education sector, facebook ads are still rarely used, generally schools use conventional marketing methods, this method has weaknesses, such as: limited scope and inefficient marketing costs. Marketing used conventional methods is considered ineffective, it occur at out by BPAI School in 2019 only 10% of potential consumers contacted the school. The small number of marketing effectiveness is the influence of the low brand awareness of the BPAI School, therefore innovation is needed in marketing to increase brand awareness, it is by using facebook ads. The results of the implementation of facebook ads at BPAI School for 5 days concluded that facebook ads had significant effect in increasing brand awareness
