Abstract

One of the new applications of ferrofluid, a colloidal compound containing magnetic nanoparticles, is the removal of microplastics from water. Laundry waste has a high concentration of microplastics, but this wastewater contains other substances besides microplastics, such as TSS, COD, surfactants, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the effectiveness of this method directly from wastewater to determine the total amount. The following is the highest percentage reduction obtained for each parameter: microplastic content of 66.16% is reduced. Then for the TSS parameter, ferrofluid reduces TSS by 70%. As for TDS, the ferrofluid method has the highest percentage reduction of 50.3%. Furthermore, for surfactants or detergents, the highest decrease in ferrofluid was only 10.37%. Lastly, in COD, the biggest decline reached 30%.

Abstract

The Global Positioning System (GPS) data processing method is a key to obtaining the accuracy of the 3-D coordinates. Therefore, there is commercial software issued by tool vendors and can be accessed by users. Among the software are Hi-Target Geomatics Office (HGO) and Trimble Business Center (TBC). Both of these software can be used to process GPS data by post-processing and can be accessed by users. In this study, a comparison of the results of GPS data processing using the two software will be carried out by comparing the accuracy of each software for processing GPS data at baseline of 5 – 10 m and 5 – 20 km. The results of data processing that was carried out in this study found that GPS data processing using both software at a baseline of 5 – 10 m did not show significant differences with the two having a difference of 1 mm in each coordinate component. However, at 5 – 20 km baseline the results of GPS data processing using TBC are more accurate with a difference of -0.0050 m in Northing, -0.0800 m in Easting and -0.0550 m in Elevation compared to the actual coordinates. With these results, the TBC software is more recommended.

Abstract

Biogas is one of the alternative energy sources that has become increasingly popular. Several studies have found that microalgae are effective in producing biogas. This research aims to explore the potential of natural microalgae as an alternative energy source for biogas production. The study was conducted by utilizing microalgae naturally present in bozzem water and drainage. The reactor used in this study is an Anaerobic stirred-tank reactor. The addition of cow manure is used as a supplementary substrate to enhance nutrient levels during the fermentation process. Various fermentation times and biomass concentrations were applied to determine the optimal reactor conditions for biogas production. Natural microalgae from the drainage and bozzem water have an impact on biogas production. The produced biogas was analyzed to determine CH4 (methane) and CO2 (carbon dioxide) concentrations. The best results in this study were obtained from drainage microalgae, which produced biogas with CH4 concentration of 50.17% and CO2 concentration of 40.14% at a biomass concentration of 40%. Meanwhile, bozzem microalgae produced biogas with CH4 concentration of 32.28% and CO2 concentration of 25.02% at a biomass concentration of 30%.

Abstract

In the service and manufacturing industry competition, companies need to maintain the quality of the products they produce. PT XYZ is a company engaged in steel fabrication work services. Fabrication work there is a sequence of production processes that must be maintained in quality, because the company must do the work with the standards set by the clients. One of the most influential production processes in quality control is the welding process. This study aims to evaluate the quality of the welding process of the cable tray support project consisting of four batches. The results of the study found six types of welding defects, namely porosity, incomplete fushion, over spatter, overlap, slag, and undercut. Based on the Pareto diagram, there are 2 types of welding defects that will be prioritized, namely porosity and over spatter. Furthermore, based on the results of processing the new seven tools, it can be seen that the most important factor causing defects is the Man factor because this factor is also closely related to the Methode factor. alternative improvements that will be prioritized first because they have the highest value are conducting training to the welder to the maximum, conducting stricter supervision by the welding supervisor to workers when welding, the welding supervisor conducts regular machine supervision, scheduling maintenance on the machine by quality control.

Abstract

A dam is a body of water that is relied upon in raw water supply. Many dams have deteriorated due to human activities in their catchment areas. East Java Province Government is currently trying to improve the function of the dam as a water reserve in the dry season. This study aims to compare water quality in nine dams located in East Java Province. The Telaga Pasir and Gonggang Dams are in Magetan Regency. The Notopuro, Saradan, Kedung Brubus, and Dawuhan dams are in Madiun Regency. Kedung Bendo, Pondok, and Sangiran dams are in Ngawi Regency. The method for determining water quality is based on KepMenLH No 115/2003 concerning guidelines for determining water quality status. Water sampling was carried out on January 24 to February 7, 2022, representing the dry season by grab sampling. Water samples were taken from the part of the dam with a pool of water. The results showed that the water quality of all dams was categorized as good to slightly polluted, with index values ranging from 0.80 to 3.10. The cause of water quality being lightly polluted is the BOD, COD, Free Chlorine, Arsenic, Cadmium, Copper, Ammonia, and Nitrite, which do not meet quality standards. The presence of these parameters is predicted to originate from the activities of residents around the catchment area, such as settlements and agriculture.

Abstract

Dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang sering timbul pada perusahaan di berbagai industri terkait cacat atau sisa material atau produk yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian bagi produsen maka perusahaan harus berupaya untuk meningkatkan reputasi dan menjamin kualitas produk serta mengurangi risiko kecacatan agar dapat mendapatkan kepercayaan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengamati proses produksi dan hasil serta tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penyebab dari kecacatan produksi Papan fiber semen di PT.XYZ. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode FMEA dimana penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat deskriptif dan banyak menggunakan analisis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melihat kejadian-kejadian yang terjadi. Dari data produksi pada PT.XYZ  pada bulan November 2022 – April 2023, data jumlah produksi tersebut total jumlah produksi ialah 1.171.690 pcs dan jumlah reject ialah 73.425 pcs selama 6 bulan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan nilai RPN untuk permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT XYZ Dari perhitungan tersebut dapat dilihat urutan rangking untuk menentukan prioritas masalah yang dihadapi. Masalah prioritas yang perlu segera ditangani adalah  crack dengan nilai RPN 60, scracth dengan nila RPN 48 dan delaminasi dengan nilai RPN 45.

Abstract

Evaluasi permintaan produk adalah faktor penting yang membutuhkan evaluasi periodik. Kegagalan untuk melakukan perencanaan produksi dapat mengakibatkan kerugian finansial bagi organisasi. Permintaan produk dapat mengalami fluktuasi sebagai akibat berbagai alasan, termasuk persaingan, pemasok, preferensi pelanggan, dan pengaruh tambahan. Perusahaan harus terlibat dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis untuk secara efektif mengatasi kondisi pasar yang berubah. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, implementasi prediksi permintaan dilakukan untuk memfasilitasi perencanaan sistem produksi. Pemilihan pendekatan prediksi didasarkan pada kemudahan implementasinya dan efektivitas, efisiensi yang ditunjukkan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu memastikan pendekatan paling tepat dalam memprediksi permintaan untuk Bagian BBP LID di PT Artria Widya. Penelitian ini menggunakan banyak teknik statistik termasuk metode Naive, Linear Regression, 3-bulan Moving Average, 4-bulan moving average, metode Exponential Smoothing dengan α = 0,2, Exponential Smooting dengan α= 0,5, dan Exponencial Smoothing dengan α 0,9. Proyeksi ini menggunakan dataset yang terdiri dari sembilan bulan data historis, berkisar dari Agustus 2021 hingga April 2022. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik Moving Average 3 bulan memiliki akurasi prediksi yang unggul, menjadikannya metode yang cocok untuk memprediksi permintaan sepanjang periode dari Agustus 2022 hingga April 2023. Topik yang menarik berkisar di sekitar penerapan beberapa teknik prediksi, yaitu pendekatan naif, regresi linear, rata-rata bergerak, dan penyeimbang eksponensial.

Abstract

Mukim Sabang sebagai kawasan perkotaan memiliki permukiman yang relatif padat sehingga rentan mengalami penurunan kualitas. Hal ini menjadikan Mukim Sabang sebagai kawasan yang perlu diperhatikan kualitas permukimannya sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat kenyamanan kawasan tersebut untuk ditempati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memetakan persebaran kualitas permukiman di Mukim Sabang berdasarkan parameter kualitas permukiman yang diinterpretasi dari citra. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik interpretasi citra serta metode pengharkatan dan overlay. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa peta persebaran kualitas permukiman Mukim Sabang. Kualitas permukiman yang baik terdapat di Kuta Ateuh dengan luas 10,54 hektar, permukiman dengan kualitas sedang tersebar di seluruh desa di Mukim Sabang, sedangkan kualitas permukiman buruk terdapat di Kuta Barat dengan luasan sebesar 4,68 hektar dan Kuta Timu dengan luas 5,74 hektar. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa permukiman di Mukim Sabang didominasi oleh kualitas sedang.

Abstract

The incidence of landslides increases during the rainy season, especially in hilly areas or valleys. Cikembang - Bagbagan road is a national road that connects Pelabuhanratu - Sukabumi City with the condition of the area in the form of hilly areas with many slopes. This study aims to assess the level of slope risk and mitigation recommendations needed. The data collection method used is using secondary data in the form of inspection data and inventory of related slopes. The analysis method was carried out by determining the index value based on the Guidelines for road slope risk assessment (2018) and then analyzed to obtain the risk category. The results of 4 slopes obtained 2 slopes with high risk, 1 slope with medium risk, and 1 slope with low risk. In the risk assessment, the parameters of engineering buildings, geometry and geology of slopes play a major role in determining the risk category. Mitigation carried out on the 4 slopes is carried out in accordance with the risk category such as routine maintenance, rehabilitation, and slope instrumentation. The mitigation prioritization is done first on slope D then slope A, slope B, and slope C.

Abstract

In construction work, foundation planning must be appropriately designed so that the stresses in the foundation do not exceed the bearing capacity of the soil below. This study aims to determine the bearing capacity of the soil using the Terzaghi method, the Meyerhof method, and the Hansen method as well as to analyze the safety of the A3 building design on Yos Sudarso Induk Street, Palangka Raya City. The calculation results show that the Terzaghi value is lower than the Meyerhof and Hansen methods. The Terzaghi method obtained 375.567 kN/m2, the Meyerhof method obtained 1105.396 kN/m2 and the Hansen method obtained 848.996 kN/m2. At the 3 bridge points reviewed, the stress that appears on the pavement base at point C3 is 170.923 kN/m2 soil bearing capacity, point D3 is 160.90 kN/m2 soil bearing capacity and point C6 is 159.421 kN/m2 bearing capacity soil load. The third train point is declared safe because the voltage at the base of the guitar is lower than the load capacity of the ground.
