Abstract

The family is the first place for the child to receive an education and coaching. Although the school specializes educational activities, it does not start from a vacuum. Because schools accept children after going through various experiences and attitudes and patterns of behavior and skills gained from the family environment. Implementation of religious education to children in families at an early stage have a very large degree of urgency, given the role played by institutions of formal education, are not able to replace the family institution. Similarly, the education curriculum materials, including religious education curriculum in formal educational institutions still tend to be oriented only filling the brain with a number of knowledge, rather than planting religious moral values. That phenomenon makes the implementation of religious education in the family take place strategic position, which is in addition to invest the basis of religious moral values to children also complements the deficiencies of the formal education system. Provision of basic capital religious education to children in the family can give implications as follows: a) children have a basic knowledge of religion, b) children have a basic knowledge of morals, and c) children have a basic knowledge of social. The basic knowledge plays importance rule in achieving the main goals of Islamic education, the planting of faith and good behavior.

Abstract

This paper discusses the educational values contained in Q.S. al-Isra ([17]: 23-25) and its actualization in the modern world. This article shows that, first, the educational values contained in Q.S. al-Isra (17: 23-25), namely (1) the Aqidah education which Allah obliges His servants to press Him in worship and in worship and forbid them to associate Allah with anything or anyone. Therefore, the one who deserves the highest honors is the one who created nature and everything in it that is Allah Almighty. (2) Education of birrul walidain, after Allah commanded that not worship other than Him then Allah commanded to the Muslims so that they really pay attention to the devotional services to both mothers father and do not regard it as a trivial affair, by explaining that God is the more know what thrilled in their hearts. Second, the actualization of educational values based on Q.S. al-Isra (17: 23-25) in the modern world, namely (1) education of the creeds in schools should teach the students in union of God that there is no god worthy to be worshiped besides Allah the Almighty God. The limited number of hours of lesson with the tarnished material causes the religious teacher to take the easiest shortcut, that is, to see religious education is no more a lesson than an education. (2) Education of birrul walidain in the modern world today is the treatment of elderly parents is really upside down. When they need more attention from the closest people, especially a child, instead they are mostly alienated from the family on the grounds to get better attention. Finally, they are deposited in nursing homes or others.

Abstract

The exegeticalmethods of the Quran has been aimed more and consumed by adults both from students, students, lecturers, and intellectuals, rather than to children. But actually, the case of adults is clearly different from the nature of children who have a tendency to play. How to present a exegeticalmethod of the Quran that can be consumed by children is a developmental idea in the scientificexegesis of the Quran in general and particularlyin the Islamic Religious Education (PAI), especially in the study of the exegesis of the Quran. Therefore, Tafsir Quran untuk Anakanak (The Exegesis of the Quran for Children) by Afif Muhammad comes to respond to the problem when it is now very rarely the literature that deals with the interpretation for children today. Therefore, this paper will discuss how the exegeticalmethod offered by Afif Muhammad in his work, and most importantly is, how to present the characteristics of the exegesis of the Holy Quran that is ideal for children in the perspective of Islamic Religious Education (PAI).The result of this research reveals that the ijmāli method with dialogical language in Tafsir Quran untuk Anak-anak can be used as a solution to improve the lecture method in PAI so as to create dynamic and effective interrelations between educators and learners in the learning process. The comic method in the Tafsir Quran untuk Anak-anak is a prominent characteristic of the study of the Quran for children so that it can be utilized by educators in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom, and the scholars who are concerned about the world education of children.

Abstract

The development of Indonesian society’s life attitude in the postreformation era has made a lot of changes, including language as the use of foreign language at schools having international and international pioneering standard. Character construct covers the basic strategy in overcoming those phenomenons through educational system, especially the bahasa Indonesia education starting from the curriculum, methods, learning books, skills, personality, and reference. In addition, preparing dedicated profesional teachers should be necessity. There are many intelegent must be improved ticher to student minimally, smart word, smart picture, smart logic, smart body, smart music, smart people, smart nature, and self-smart. This article discribes about that.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and deliberate effort. Education embodies the learning process so that learners are actively developing their potential to have the spiritual power of religion, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, as well as the necessary skills themselves, society, nation and state. Education is defined as the reciprocal of each person in coping with nature, with friends, and with the universe. Education is also an organized and complete development of all human potential; moral, intellectual and physical, and the individual personality and society are expected usefulness in order to collect all of these activities for the purpose of his life (the final destination). The explanation above clarifies that education is a process or a conscious effort to provide guidance or direction to the development of children’s physical and spiritual sense of humanity towards perfection. In other words, the essence of education is the formation of a mature man, having skill, impeccable craftsmanship with major personality or character. This article elaborates the nature of education in the context of the macro.

Abstract

The reality of the diversity of the Indonesian people for this in the name of national stability is often the reason in this era. Today, discussing the concept of multicultural education in the public life of multiculturalism is very risky because nations mental is not ready yet to accept it. But these circumstances have to be blasted and blasted peacefully continue to seek and find the best solution to the nation. The paradigm of multicultural education includes the subjects of injustice, poverty, oppression and backwardness of minorities in various areas of social, cultural, economic, and errors in understanding other religions. Multicultural education should be directed so that all nations can enter into an entity called multicultural education institution, regardless of religion, poor, rich, gentry, students, and so on. Perhaps only with the well multicultural education will be able to be a solution for the nation of Indonesia. Promoting the concept of multicultural education is as part of efforts to reduce the potential horizontal and vertical national conflict. Multiculturalism is a risk that needs to be taken in developing the nation of Indonesia. This paper attempts to describe phenomena and urgency of multicultural education in the nation life.

Abstract

The struggle for independence was perceived by Muslims as a struggle for liberation not only the nation from colonialism, but also to liberate them from the religion of oppressors who come from other religions. These sentiments gained strong momentum when put in a historical context of the time, especially the harsh reality that the civilization of the Islamic world, which in the past grew rapidly and peaked brilliant, when it was sunk so deep, fell under Western colonialism that in fact claimed to Christian civilization. Of course, dissect interfaith relations in Indonesia must necessarily look at the history in which religions act in the constellation of politics since the country’s standing, even since before independent. Naturally, unpack these issues cannot be separated from the relation between religion and state as two of the most powerful institutions in the stage of world history. Patron-client relationship that is very hierarchical social character that forms as a religious group that is subordinate to the colonial powers, both in the religious and political dimensions. Compliance as servant relations among Christian missionaries in the future will be more colorful. Such circumstances make it difficult for the Christians when they are faced with a political choice for independence from the Dutch colonizers.

Abstract

Today, the human problem in social life concerning education is growing more complex; many new ideas emerge as the level of human intellectuality grows. This paper will reveal the current issue of education in Indonesia and discuss ideas from the concept of liberal education. The basic issue of education criticized by liberal education is that education today focuses more on the needs of society than the educational objectives themselves. Education as a tool to transfer science, values, and agents of social change is seen as one alternative solution in the framework of improving peoples lives. The education in which values are embodied is one of the efforts offered by genuine liberal education, aimed at giving us the habits, ideas and techniques necessary to continue our own education. Humans have the ability to learn continuously throughout life so that we can prepare ourselves to study and again as long as we are alive.

Abstract

Character education is a positive offer in the eradication of moral crises which particularly emerged in our students. Therefore, the internalization of values of character education in the educational institution is a must. As an Islamic education institution in Indonesia, the existence of Boarding school is considered to be able to develop values of character education which may be done through formal or non-formal curriculum. This is so because since its early existence, Boarding school has delineated its distinctive feature which is different from the other common types of education. Here, the implementation of character values have been integrated (within large portion) in the religious subjects. Character education, at least in the discourse, still a potent tool in addressing the arious issues that whack this nation. Not only in Indonesia, even in developed countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, and, still rely on character education as a mainstay of kick to overcome various moral issues at hand. Character education became very warm issue in the education scene in Indonesia due to the rampant cases of moral that afflicts this nation, ranging from scenes in high State institutions, educational nstitutions until those cases that occur in the streets. The cases allegedly due to the failure of education that has lasted until today. Criticisms of the educational world tends to be mechanical, cognitive aspects than prefer the affective and psychomotor, and a series of spicy criticism more have graced the writings of educational expert. In order to respond to these concerns, the Government now, through the Ministry of education and culture and supported by the Ministry of Religion, raised character education agenda as the national education agenda. Sayang sayang thousand, until now there has been no clear concept of philosophy as well as on the technical implementation. This paper will offer solutions to various problems in philosophy as well as the implementation of character education. The author of the theme of humanist-religious is one of spirits in character education. The reason is that to improve the character of a nation, certainly could not depart from values which do not come from the nation itself. Humanist-religious is a character that belongs to the people of Indonesia so that character education is applied in this country inevitably had to depart from this character. After discussing the philosophy of character education from the perspective of humanist-religious, the author offers some alternatives that are related to the stages of education, learning methods, as well as the position of teachers in character education.

The progress of science and technology not only bring a wide variety of fortune, but also a loss. The advantage is that human power can be replaced by machines. The distance between one place and another can be shortened. The advanced communication tools are created, and so forth. Meanwhile, the disadvantage is that it can produce a product that is very terrible, like germ bombs, chemical bombs, as well as other types of bombs that have devastating explosive power resulted in loss of life and property, and so forth. Islam derived in the earth next to bring the rules or basic principles of ethics, morality and science and technology for the establishment of a high civilization, also teaches that mankind upholds is peaceful and prosperous life, both individual and social nature.
