Abstract

New Order has given the character and style of interreligious relations up to now. But the basic framework of the religious policy of the colonial era, both the Dutch and Japanese, still must be borne in succession to carve his footsteps. This has very important implications in the management of pluralistic society, because with this paradigm also strengthened the notion that ethnic diversity, traditions, culture and beliefs of various community groups must be eliminated so that the unity imaginable can be realized. There, assimilation and harmony so basic spirit which is then translated into policies, not least the policy of interreligious harmony. Abstract

This paper discusses the educational qualities of the Quranic perspective of Q.S. Fushshilat ([41]: 34-35). This article is motivated by the number of educators who only rely on intellectual ability in educating, without balancing with other aspects that support the process of education, teaching and learning, such as the nature and a good personality that must be owned by every educator. All the behavior of educators is very influential on learners, because learners tend to imitate educators. Educators are expected by the Islamic education of educators who are able to optimize all the ability in him in order to get the output in accordance with the goals of Islamic education. This study aims to determine the nature of educators contained in the Fushshilat (41: 34-35) which can be applied by every educator in the educational process. This paper shows that in the content of Fushshilat ([41]: 34-35) there are several traits as an educator exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. (2) Always do good, (3) gentle, (4) affection towards learners, (5) able to hold anger, and (6) have a good attitude the nature of forgiveness, and its implications in the Islamic education system.

Abstract

Theoretically, one of the dominant factors that influence the development of individual character are environmental factors which is a condition that allows the process of personal character development. Creating an conducive environment to the development of character Grikusumo Salaf Islamic School students is done by creating a tradition /habituation practical in everyday life in all their daily activities in relation to the quality of their religious or otherwise. Attempt the formation of character through this Salaf Islamic school in addition to the above character education can also be done simultaneously through the educational value of the following steps. First, apply a “modeling” or “exemplary” or “uswah hasanah”. Second, efforts to explain or clarify to students constantly about the value of good and evil has been done in the Girikusumo Salaf Islamic School. Third, implementing the SIS is based on character education. Character education is an important tool in the formation of student character. In practical guidance and counseling services in the schooling setting, character education is implemented through two ways, first directly through the services of guidance and counseling provided to students/ counselees, which are grouped into four components: (1) the component of basic service, (2) the component of responsive service, (3) the component of individual planning service, and (4) the components of the system support service. Loads of character education materials written in guidance and counseling services that include the areas of personal guidance, social guidance, learning guidance, career guidance, and character development. Second, indirectly, by example attitude and behavior of guidance and counseling teachers/counselors along with the cultivation of creative cultural, innovative, productive, collaborative, discipline, sense of belonging, and responsibility.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right of every citizen. However, in practice, not all citizens acquire these rights adequately. One of the reasons of not obtaining such rights is limited ability of the State to provide educational facilities for all citizens, although in fact, the community also has a lot to participate in the provision of educational facilities. So that the rights of citizens can be met, as well as increasing the intelligence of the nation, the government continually improves its ability to provide learning opportunities for all citizens. One of these policies is through a policy of open schools as part of a system of open and distance education. This paper highlights the organizing Junior Open with all its advantages and disadvantages as part of innovation in education.

Abstract

This paper discusses three major issues, namely how the image of the objective conditions of Islamic education, age and postmodernism as an intellectual thought movement that could be a challenge as well as how the strategic steps that should be taken to realize the civil society Muslims in Indonesia. Factually, renewal of Islamic education becomes an absolute necessity is manifested as a significant prerequisite in creating Muslim intelligent, energetic resources, committed against Islam and good manner. The other hand, it has become anticipation and protection against any negative thoughts brought postmodernism in various variants, for example: humanism, liberalism, asceticism (spirituality) and so on. The other side becomes a tool device as a prerequisite to realize an order of civil society in this millennium era. Abstract

This paper discusses the content of Q.S. al-Baqarah ([2]: 67-73). The data used in the preparation of this paper is the data that is primary and secondary. The primary source is data obtained from the core source. In conducting a study of a verse, it is clear that the primary data source is derived from the Quran, precisely on Q.S. al-Baqarah ([2]: 67-73). Secondary data is data obtained from other sources that are still related to the problem and provide interpretation of the primary source. The method used in analyzing this paper is the tahlili method. This method describes the meaning contained by the Quran, verse by verse, and letter after letter according to the order in the Mushaf. The description includes the various aspects which the interpreted verses contain, such as the meaning of the vocabulary, the connotation of the sentence, the background of the verse down, its relation to other verses, both before and after. And do not miss the opinion that has been given regarding the interpretation of these verses, whether delivered by the Prophet, companions, the tabiin, as well as other commentators. This study shows that in Q.S. al-Baqarah (2): 67-73) there are values of moral education which include: 1) morals in asking, (2) morals to parents, (3) patience of educators, (4) educator honesty, and (5) obedience of learners.

Abstract

Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) is considered by social society as agent of moral force that has given major contribution to the Islamic educational institutions in achieving what so called perfect human being, by upholding morals and morality in the society, particularly for women in Islam. Therefore, in order to create a generation of modern and intelligent Islamic Boarding Schools that aims it education in advancing women’s Islamic education. How and in what way Ummul Mu’minin takes this role, has inspired researchers to study it. This paper is a case study that shows that the existence of women Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) of Ummul Mukminin coordinated by ‘Aisyiyah in South Sulawesi region is one those Islamic education institusions that is able to accelerate Muslim women’s educational progress. Therefore this Pesantren is expected to continue enhancing its contribution in the community development, especially Muslim women, as well as the extensive development of Islamic thought that can answer the challenges of civilization in globalization era, even as a pioneer for orther Islamic educational institutions in shaping modern, intelligent, and Islamic women generations.

Abstract

Hadist understanding is generally divided into two, namely, textual and contextual understanding. Asbabal wurud concept has close links with other concepts that are also very important, nasikh mansukh, related with religious teachings, both the Qur’an and al-Sunnah. In the concept of asbab al-nuzul, asbab al-wurud and nasikh mansukh contained their historical consciousness among Islamic jurists. This historical consciousness becomes one of the cornerstones of hope that Islam will be better in responding the challenges of the times in the future. The typology of scholars and Muslim understanding of the hadist is classified into two parts. First is the typology of understanding who believes that hadist as a source of the teachings of Islam, regardless of the historical process of collecting hadist and orthodox teachings formation process. Second is people who believe in tradition as a source of both the teachings of the religion of Islam, but with a critical outlook and consider the historical origins (asbabal-wurud) of hadist. This article describes the position of asbabul wurud contextually.

Abstract

Sorogan method is a logical consequence of maximum service to the Islamic students (santri). Various efforts of renewal today is done to give to services to students. The sorogan method actually puts maturity and attention as well as the skills of a person. The goal of sorongan method is to direct the students in understanding the subject matter and close relations between students and teachers. In addition, in the sorogan method the teacher can use it to explore the mental turmoil or problems that faced by each student, especially those that could potentially interfere with the absorption of their knowledge. Of course, this method has advantages and disadvantages as well. Therefore, this paper describes the sorogan method, both advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

Instructional media selection includes several criteria that influence each other. The criteria are different according to the curriculum, learner analysis, a condition that occurs when planning and other variables. Environment, situation or condition, time and tolerance impact of the use are also very influential in determining the criteria for the selection of media. Selecting the media for learning should consider criteria: a) The accuracy of the learning objectives, b) Support for the contents of the learning material, c) Ease of obtaining media, d) Teachers’ skills in using, e) Time available for use, and f) In accordance with the level of students’ thinking. Good learning media must meet several requirements. Instructional media should increase the motivation of learners. The use of media has the goal to motivate learners. In addition, the media should stimulate learners remember what they have learned in addition to providing new learning stimuli. Good media enable learners to provide responses, feedback and also encourage students to do the practices correctly. This paper attempts to describe the role and the function of media and modules in the learning process with learners.
