Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the understanding and use of ICT in households selected as respondents in the Mimika Regency, Papua Province. This research uses FGD by inviting several experts. The results of this study indicatet hat the level of understanding and use of ICT among the community in the Mimika Regency of Papua Province has not been maximized due to several obstacles such as: Uneven network infrastructure in the area, signals that have not been maximized in providing information needed by local communities, and the role of the Government Local areas that are still less responsive to ICT problems in the area. As a result, there has been a shift in thesocio-cultural implications of  the community in Mimika Regency, Papua Province.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1). Untuk mengetahui apakah budaya organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di Bidang Pelayanan Depan DPMPTSP Kota Makassar; (2). Hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi untuk perkembangan ilmu masa mendatang agar terus berkembang, khususnya pada jurusan Ilmu Komunikasi yang lebih membahas tentang budaya organisasi dan kepemimpinan. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data uji rehabilitas, ujiregresi liniear berganda, uji T(parsial) dan Uji F(serempak). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di bidang pelayanan depan Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Makassar secara parsial atau yang berarti memiliki pengaruh yang saling bertolak belakang, dimana semakin budaya organisasi dinaikkan maka kepuasan kerja akan semakin menurun. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil penelitian ini yang menunjukkan t hitung untuk variabel budaya organisasi (X1) lebih kecil dari t tabel, yakni -3,286 < 2,059 dan nilai signifikansi 0,003 < ? 0,05. Dari hasil ini dapat di buktikan variabel bebas secara parsial mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel terikatnya. Gaya Kepemimpinan partisipatif bebas tindak mempunyai pengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap kepuasan kerja di bidang pelayanan depan Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Kota Makassar. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai t yang lebih besar dari nilai t tabel 5,888 > 2,059 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < ? 0,05 yang berarti dapat digeneralisir mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja. Ini berarti semakin gaya kepemimpinan partisipatif bebas tindak dinaikkan maka semakin tinggi juga kepuasan kerja. Sedangkan Gaya kepemimpinan otoriter dan demokratis tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja, karena kedua gaya kepemimpinan tersebut memiliki nilai signifikansi > ? 0,05.

Abstract

One of the media products that have the ability to change people’s knowledge, attitudes and behavior is advertising. Advertising is a form of communication between producers, consumers and audiences by utilizing mass media, so that messages can be accepted by audiences globally and simultaneously. The advertising communication contains information about the existence of the product through words, images, writing and voice which are packaged in such an attractive way to encourage audiences to purchase the advertised products. This study aims to analyze and raise the meaning of the signifier, signified, denotative and connotative as well as the moral messages contained in the Apache cigarette advertisement version of My Life, My Way, which is broadcast on television media. Lifting a story about the success story of man in his coffee making business. To examine this problem thoroughly and deeply, a qualitative descriptive approach and Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis were used. Semiotics is considered appropriate to find out or decipher something that is behind the sign meaning of the advertisement. In this study, it is concluded that the meaning of the signifier, signified, denotative and connotative is listed in several signs such as coffe, humans, NTT areas, facial expressions and unyielding efforts. The moral message that is conveyed is that it takes a resilient and unyielding nature when trying to achieve success, trusting in our abilities as a support to improve our lives for the better and be grateful for whatever results we get because of the good and bad things that happen to us is something that has been arranged by Allah SWT.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology encourages Makassar Islamic University to make changes in the academic information system, which was originally done manually / traditionally to online-based which can be accessed anywhere and anytime by students to meet the need for academic information. Various problems occur in the implementation of the online-based information system, so the assumptions that arise regarding how the effectiveness of the use of SIAKAD Online Media to meet the academic information needs of Makassar Islamic University students are the challenges of this research.In this study a quantitative method is used which aims to determine the effect of using online SIAKAD in meeting academic information needs among students. Respondents in this study were drawn from 2017 class year students from 8 faculties totaling 1,194 people. The samples chosen in this study were 299 people with 5% specimens. The research data were obtained through a survey of respondents with Kearis distribution. Then processing and data analysis is done with a simple linear regression analysis using the help of SPSS version 25. The results of this study indicate that there is effectiveness of the use of online data to meet the needs of academic information of students assessed significantly adjusted Rsquare results of 0.305% variation of the dependent variable, namely the fulfillment of needs. This means that 30.5% of the variable fulfillment of needs is the contribution of the variable use of online data

Abstract

Facing the 2019 presidential election contestation of the Republic of Indonesia, competing presidential candidates face a variety of things, especially issues that develop ahead of the presidential election. This issue, which was packaged in the mainstream media, social media and online media, has had an extraordinary influence on the electability and image of the candidate. Various issues that have drawn attention are more concerned with issues of background, ideology, ideology and even to personal problems, which are very draining the energy of the presidential candidate to look for loopholes to refute, confirm or give an open statement to clarify the matter.In this study, an analysis was conducted based on the characteristics of critical discourse analysis through action, context, history of power and ideology to gain knowledge about the communication styles of presidential candidates in responding to issues leading up to the presidential election. The results show that the communication style of presidential candidate Joko Widodo is more directed to the systematic style while presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto is more spirited style.

Abstract

The media, especially online media, highlighted the quick count of the 2019 presidential election. Makassar.tribunnews.com is one of the online media that contains a lot of news related to the 2019 Presidential Election quick count, news on the quick count was intensively carried out by Makassar.tribunnews.com when the presidential election was approaching until the presidential election was completed in Indonesia. In its reporting, Makassar.tribunnews.com describes many things about the quick count, including the results of the quick count conducted by the survey institute, and the responses of the two presidential candidates regarding the results of the quick count. This study aims to find out how Makassar.tribunnews.com frames the 2019 Presidential Election quick count reporting using the Robert N Entman framing analysis model. The results of this study Makassar.tribunnews.com are more informative and try to lead public opinion by showing differences in the results of surveys conducted by PT. LSI Denny JA and BPN Prabowo-Sandi.

Abstract

At the end of 2019 the people of Makassar were presented with a film with a background story and production from the United States with the title "JOKER". The Joker is an antagonist who is usually portrayed in a clown costume or make up with a psychological disorder who is also the enemy of the super hero Batman. The Joker in this film becomes the main character by telling his dark past life to become a Joker. Researchers see this film as very interesting to be examined when the main character in this film has an antagonistic role played in Indonesia, especially the city of Makassar. This study aims to reveal the public's perception of the Joker character in the Joker film and the factors that influence this perception. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method which is analyzed intensively and continues continuously to obtain the desired data. The results of this study explain that the Joker film is still less attractive to the public, especially the city of Makassar, because the contents of this film have more entertainment functions than informative and educational. However, this film also teaches us to always do good to everyone and not occasionally oppress others if we don't want to be hated or hurt. This perception is based on the inhibiting factors of society from watching the Joker film, namely Ecology, Technology, and Social. While the driving factors for the community in watching the Joker film are Attention, Interests and Mood. The research recommendation for film producers is to be even more creative in packaging this Joker film, and to provide more educational moral messages.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) Marketing Communication Strategy of Maros FM Radio in Increasing the Number of Listeners, (2) Factors influencing the marketing communication strategy of Maros FM Radio in increasing the number of listeners. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which aims to describe systematically and accurately about facts and characteristics about a particular population or field. Data collection methods used are, through the stages of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Maros FM Radio Marketing Communication Strategy in Increasing the Number of Listeners consists of, Advertising, Sales Promotion, Public Relations & Publicity, Direct Marketing, Interactive Marketing, Word of Mouth, and Personal Selling. (2) While in terms of supporting factors, namely government-owned radio, the competition is still lacking, covering all segments, featured programs, the frequency is quite extensive. While the inhibiting factor is that broadcasters who are fluent in local languages are lacking, there are technical obstacles, the budget is determined by the government.

Abstract

A good image of an institution will make it easier to achieve the goals set by both the individual and the organization. The large number of oblique reports about the police made the public think that the police's performance was questionable. This is what motivates the writer to find out the strategy of the Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police in maintaining the image of the Police institution which is the protector of the community, especially in South Sulawesi. Data collected by interview method. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the public relations communication strategy in building the image of the South Sulawesi Police has been carried out well, thanks to the roles between sub-sectors in the Public Relations Division of the South Sulawesi Regional Police so that a communication strategy is formed to carry out the task in this case building the image of the Polda Police. South Sulawesi, based on a communication strategy in the form of a Communicator (communicator), Relationship (Building), Back up Management (managing management), Good Image Maker (Creating Images). Factors that affect the public relations communication strategy in building the image of the South Sulawesi Police with the following supporting factors; There is an application of the role of each public relations subbid in the field of Public Relations in carrying out the main tasks and duties in building the image of the police itself, as well as the implementation of the functions, duties and powers of the Police according to the applicable SOTK Polda. While the inhibiting factors are as follows; There are police officers who neglect their duties, negative news about the Police, the speed of reporting in the media which emphasizes the Police's mistakes in carrying out their duties.

Abstract

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) can be defined as a form of corporate concern for the company's external stakeholders. CSR is a very important program to establish cooperation and gain trust from the community around the company. Through CSR programs, companies can contribute to facilitate and support community programs in various aspects such as the natural environment, social, and so forth. The importance of CSR as part of the company's activities is also recognized by PT. Madubaru. The objective of implementing this program is to create harmony between the company and the surrounding communities. PT. Madubaru itself has a CSR program in the form of a partnership program. The form of activities of the partnership program namely, in the form of long-term loans or working capital loans aimed at fostered partners of PT. Madubaru himself. The target of this program is Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which fall within the criteria for the requirements. Retrieval of data in this study using interview techniques, and direct surveys in the field. In carrying out direct survey researchers visited PT. Madubaru in October 2019. PT Madu Baru conducted a CSR management process starting from Situation Analysis, Strategy, Implementation, and Evaluation. In implementing the partnership program at PT. Madubaru is running smoothly and by CSR planning theory, but external constraints are not running according to the company targets that have been determined.
