Abstract

Each company has different ways to manage raw material inventory. Starting from the number of units of raw materials, time of use, as well as the amount of costs to purchase raw materials. The amount of raw material inventory that is minimal or too big is feared will be an obstacle of a company's productivity, so it needs a good raw material management pattern for the company. Policies in inventory management need to be formulated appropriately so as to achieve the objectives expected by the company. There are several methods to control inventory levels, including the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model. The EOQ method is used to determine the optimal amount of goods in one period by minimizing total inventory cost. The inventory cost consists of setup cost and holding cost. Some of the advantages of implementing EOQ policies in inventory management are that investments embedded in inventories can be kept to a minimum and the number of raw material orders adjusted for consumption needs. UD. Plastics is one of the middle-level industries that manage plastic waste located in Tejowangi Village Purwosari District that develops local resource potentials. Re-Order Point, according to EOQ method is 7,971 kg, whereas according to UD policy. Plastic Purwosari no return order. The frequency of optimum raw material feeding according to EOQ method is 4 times in one month, while policy according to UD. Purwosari +-plastic is 15 times in 1 month. Total inventory cost is optimal for 1 year according to EOQ method of Rp. 568,419.41, whereas according to UD policy. Plastic Purwosari Rp. 770.631,22. So there is a difference of Rp. 202.211,81. Companies need to re-examine the methods of control applied so far, because based on the results of processing by methods used by researchers, Total inventory cost can still be minimized. By using EOQ method in raw material procurement policy, the company will get a minimum quantity of raw material purchasing compared to the previous company policy.

Abstract

The Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method is used to control the supply of raw materials in a company. A company to implement policies in raw material planning must have the right calculation so that there are no advantages and disadvantages in the supply of raw materials. This study aims to determine whether the application of the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method in the "Duta Collection" business unit in planning the supply of raw materials can run effectively and efficiently. Material requirements planning using MRP method in this paper uses the lot sizing method, where the lot sizing methods used are Lot-for-Lot, and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), as well as using the Exponential smoothing and least squares forecasting formula as a reference for know the amount of raw material needs in the future. From the calculation of the cost of raw materials in 2016 the total cost of raw material inventories incurred by the Duta Collection business unit was Rp12,797,247,650. Whereas by using the MRP method the total cost incurred was the Lot-for-lot Method of Rp 35,904,531,000 and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method of Rp 5,886,092,567. From the two MRP methods above, it can be seen that the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method has the lowest total inventory cost of Rp 5,886,092,567, - meaning the company can minimize inventory costs by 2.2% of the costs incurred. So as such it is proven that one of these MRP methods can play a role in efficient cost of raw material inventory in the Duta Collection business Unit.

Abstract

Manufacturing system improvement is one of the intensive improvements made so that later it can resp ond to market changes quickly. The company is always trying to increase productivity, one way to do that is by implementing a preventive and corrective maintenance system. However, in reality the results achieved were not in line with expectations. This study found that the amount of time taken to carry out maintenance breakdowns, which is one of the real problems, so corrective action was focused on this problem. In this study using OEE measurement methods, analysis of the calculation of Six Big Losses, and analysis of cause and effect diagrams to find out the problems that occur and provide suggestions for solving the problem. From the analysis and discussion that has been carried out, several results are obtained, namely the OEE value in the Reverse Osmosis machine is between 38.2% - 45.3% and is below the OEE standard (85%). The low OEE value is strongly influenced by the low availability rate which only ranges between 62.5% - 83.3% and is far below the standard availability rate (90%). The results of this study found that the biggest factors that influence the low effectiveness of the engine are the reduced speed factor of 30.31% and the scrap loss yield of 53.37%. so the recommended action is the application of TPM.

Abstract

The problem faced by the company is the lack of product quality control that is used to reduce the number of defective products during the production process. Six sigma is a statistical-based quality improvement method, where the principle of this method is continuous improvement using statistical tools and problem solving tools. In this study, researchers applied the Six Sigma method which can be considered by the company as a product quality control method. In the measure stage through the calculation of the average product mismatch, it is known that the products that experience the largest defect rate of the company are black dirty, with an average value of 0.0285 and a sigma value of 3.2. In the next stage, the analyze phase through calculations using pareto diagrams, it is known that the dominant type of product defect is black dirty (65%) and the rest is dirty die head (2%) anamdel mouth (1%) bottom folded (1%). At the same stage through calculations using cause and effect diagrams, it is known that the factors that sequentially cause the product defects are 5 factors, namely human, material, method, machine and environment. The proposed improvements made by researchers into consideration in making improvements that can be useful to reduce the number of defective products or reject on gallon products.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce business competition demands industries in manufacturing and services to increase the creativity of its business strategy. The same business strategy will not necessarily give the same results if it is still implemented so that its performance needs to be assessed. For this reason, companies are expected to be able to implement a good production process system and be able to continue to improve efficiency. CV. The gift is a company that moves coral (split) experiencing problems related to the determination of the number of products produced by the company every month. This causes that in each period, the company experiences excess - decreases in production so that the company's profit is not optimal and results in a large saving cost. This situation occurs because the company has been carrying out production planning based on intuition. The method used as a solution is Linear Progamming. This study aims to determine the production process and increase company profits. For the calculation of the amount of production in each period. Then it can be concluded that the objective function sought is the optimal value "Maximum" in November with a value of Z = 310, January with a value of Z = 3600, February with a value of Z = 7000, April with a value of Z = 4600, and May with a value of Z = 8000. Whereas the objective function for which the optimal value is "Minimal" is found in December with a value of Z = - 4675, and in March with a value of Z = - 2825. There is a "Minimum" value in the objective function for which the optimal value for December 2017 is sought. and in March 2018 caused by a decrease in production capacity in variants x1, x2, x3, x4 which is influenced by the decrease in demand for each variant from the customer
