Abstract

Global business and industry competition in the field of heat exchangers is a threat to all companies, especially in terms of product manufacturing cycle time in this study, it is known that the problem is the average length of welding process of the connection process of the Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) unit which takes 3.45 hours each time the process so in this study aims to determine the increase in cycle time in the connection welding process in the existing PHE unit assembly process, the method used to increase the cycle time of the connection welding process is to use the Plan, Do, Check, and Action (PDCA) method, The application of this method has 4 stages: a Plan to identify existing problems and their root causes, Do is a step to carry out all improvements directed at the root of the problem, Check is a stage for the process of checking the comparison of data before and after the repair process based on the results of improvement there and Acti on is an action after repairs and the results are known, namely the implementation of standardization of processes that aim to guarantee the results and certainty of the next process. The results of this study are improvements that all welding connection processes using manual methods have been replaced by making simple machines so that the process can be more stable , consistent and efficient, the results of improvements that have been made can increase the cycle time of the connection welding process which was originally 3.45 hours to 0.97 hours per process.

Abstract

Increasingly fierce business competition demands industries in manufacturing and services to increase the creativity of its business strategy. The same business strategy will not necessarily give the same results if it is still implemented so that its performance needs to be assessed. For this reason, companies are expected to be able to implement a good production process system and be able to continue to improve efficiency. CV. The gift is a company that moves coral (split) experiencing problems related to the determination of the number of products produced by the company every month. This causes that in each period, the company experiences excess - decreases in production so that the company's profit is not optimal and results in a large saving cost. This situation occurs because the company has been carrying out production planning based on intuition. The method used as a solution is Linear Progamming. This study aims to determine the production process and increase company profits. For the calculation of the amount of production in each period. Then it can be concluded that the objective function sought is the optimal value "Maximum" in November with a value of Z = 310, January with a value of Z = 3600, February with a value of Z = 7000, April with a value of Z = 4600, and May with a value of Z = 8000. Whereas the objective function for which the optimal value is "Minimal" is found in December with a value of Z = - 4675, and in March with a value of Z = - 2825. There is a "Minimum" value in the objective function for which the optimal value for December 2017 is sought. and in March 2018 caused by a decrease in production capacity in variants x1, x2, x3, x4 which is influenced by the decrease in demand for each variant from the customer

Abstract

ETR is an agroindustrial company that manufactures button mushrooms (champignon) in cans with a production capacity of 25 kg of fresh button mushrooms every day in a variety of styles and sizes in cans or glass. The Company experienced a product defect by 70.13% on products PSST Slice Mushrooms 4 Oz, so it requires prevention efforts to reduce the level of product defects that occur. This study used descriptive qualitative method for mendeskriptifkan results of the analysis method FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). FMEA is a method of systematic and structured manner can analyze and identify the result or consequence of a failure of the system or process, and reduce or analyze the probability of failure. The results showed three types of product defects PSST Slice Mushrooms 4 Oz namely defect labeling, defect secondary packaging, defect products and primary packaging defects of the most influential is the defect label (fumble, labels upside down, torn, engaged, gross, the label does not fit, loose ). The results of the analysis using FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) showed a decrease in the value of the RPN (Risk Priority Number) after an improvement by fishbone diagram, where the value of RPN before repair of 378-20 and after repair value of the RPN fell to 120-2 with sense the results showed a decrease in the level of disability products PSST Slice Mushrooms 4 Oz.

Abstract

The problem being faced is the product demand that is not constant, so that production planning becomes difficult. The result is often the difference between the amount of demand and product inventory. The company must find an effective and efficient production planning strategy in meeting fluctuating demands. This research is conducted demand forecasting with the help of Minitab software 18. The best forecasting results are then used as production targets. Aggregate production planning is implemented using hybrid and transportation methods to meet predicted demand by adjusting existing resources including regular working hours, overtime work hours and addition of production lines. The results obtained that the best forecasting using the double exponential smoothing method with a coefficient of 0.1. Hybrid aggregate production methods and transportation provide the same costs, while for orders of material requirements (lotting) the POQ method results in a smaller EOQ cost.

Abstract

Xxx is one of the companies engaged in construction that produces paving stones. The obstacle experienced by this company is that demand is sometimes soaring and sometimes soaring is caused by a lack of careful planning and maximum profits derived by the company. Therefore, companies need a certain basic calculation to optimize the amount of profit. Optimization is needed to analyze the making of paving and optimize profits by using the Linear Programming method. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of the analysis of paving production and determine the optimal profit. Retrieval of data obtained from direct observation or observation at PT. XXX. The data needed in this study are: product data, raw material purchase price data, sales data and production boundary data. In solving this problem the researchers used the Linear programming method and Smoothing forecasting methods obtained by Z_max as follows: Z_max = 540X_1 + 556X_2 + 707X_3 With the limit function: 327,27X1 318.18X2 With the requirements X_1 X_2 X_3 ≥ 0 So the analysis is obtained is the most optimal product sold per month are: DC 06: 106,732 M ^ 2, DC 08: 339,402 M ^ 2, TC 06: 13.109 M ^ 2 The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is that the optimal profit obtained is Rp. 75,460

Abstract

Agro-tourism in Indonesia is one of the driving sectors in improving the economy that is in great demand by tourists from both domestic (domestic) and foreign (foreign) countries. There fore there is a need for development in its management, one of which is in the Bukit Flora Agro Tourism. To realize this there needs to be a plan for innovation. The purpose of this study is to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the internal and external environment of the flora hill agrotourism, and determine the innovation plan for the development of flora hill tourism by using the Business Model Canvas approach. Abstract

In welcoming the Industrial Revolution 4.0 marked the era of the digital economy (Digital Economy Era). The new economic era is characterized by the application of information technology in carrying out its economic activities. Internet users in Indonesia aged 13-18 years = 16.68%, age 19-34 years = 49.52%, age 35-54 years = 29.55%, age> 54 years = 4.24%. And the number of internet users by sex, male gender is = 51.43%, female gender is = 48.57%. The use of the internet today has even penetrated into the e-commerce market place system which is a sale and purchase of goods / services through electronic networks (internet). Transactions through e-commerce involve 3 parties, namely: suppliers / partners, website managers (our company), and customers (customers). The data on internet usage are as follows: looking for prices = 45.12%, helping jobs = 41.04%, buying information = 37.82%, buying online = 32.19%, looking for work = 26.19%, banking transactions = 17.04%, selling online = 16.83%. The stages that occur in e-commerce market place are: (1) Orders are made online (carried out by the buyer); (2) Confirming payment (carried out by the buyer); (3) Checking the condition of the stock of goods (carried out by the seller); (4) Arranging the delivery of goods (arranging shipping services provided by the e-commerce marketplace system, usually carried out by the seller); e-commerce market place, the goal is that customer trust can be achieved / fulfilled)

Abstract

Productivity in the production process is very influential and become a benchmark for success in every industry. Healthy productivity can increase customer satisfaction because the waiting time for production is not too long from the expected target. The need for improvement in the system is one way to increase production at PT ABC. From the observations results showed the activity percentage of production administration operator were very high. It was at 98.727%. Production per day was less than the company target, the expected target was 40 batches per day, but in fact, it only produced 35 batches average per day. There were three proposed scenarios to fix the performance at Production Unit PT ABC. The Third Scenario was the choice that had highest result for daily production, while Scenario Second was the choice with the highest results if using weekly and annual running times references.

Abstract

Sentral Perkasa Jaya is a company that’s move in expedition. The problem faced is the development of technology causing intense business competition, resulting in decreased level of corporate income from year to year. In addition, the strategies used also tend to be monotonous, causing companies to compete with other companies. There are many problem of marketing strategy in the company, it can be an analysis of internal and external factors in the company. Next, internal and external factors will be analyzed again using SWOT matrix and IE matrix. After that Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) are used to analyze decision making selection about appropriate strategies applied n the company. Based on the calculation of strategies that have been done using two methods, SWOT and IE, then the appropriate alternative strategy for the company is a market penetration strategy and product development strategy. The results of the QSPM method indicate that the best alternative strategy is the product development strategy with a total score of 5.47. This product development strategy is a strategy whereby a company does an existing product repair, or develops a new product to increase sales.
