Abstract

There are several problems in the learning process where students are forced to do learning at home. It impacts students' reading and writing literacy which is still low. This study aims to analyze the effect of Learner Autonomy and Agile Learner on the independence and literacy of elementary school students. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with the Ex-Post Facto method. The population was 159 students, using the non-probability sampling technique so that the research sample amounted to 51 students. The data collection method used in this study was a questionnaire. The data collection instrument is in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this research is the quantitative analysis and inferential statistics. The results of data analysis, namely the results of the t-test, are obtained in the coefficients table, which is 3.366, so learner autonomy directly affects student independence. The results of the t-test, obtained in the coefficients table, are 30.446 so that Agile Learner does not directly affect students' metacognition awareness. The coefficients table shows 30.446 showings 0.313, so Learner Autonomy does not directly affect literacy. The coefficients table shows 0.613. So Agile Learner does not directly affect students' literacy. The coefficients table shows 1.68, so independence directly affects students' literacy. It was concluded that students' Learner Autonomy was in a low category, students' Agile Learners were in a low category, students' independence was in the high category, and students' literacy and literacy were in the high category.

The populations in this study were the Remote Area Teachers. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews based on teacher legitimization, which were conducted on two ATDFs. The researcher used the data analysis model including: 1) Data Collection, 2) Data Reduction, 3) Data Display (Data Presentation), and 4) Conclusion Drawing / Verification. The results show that the ATDF teachers own the following types of identity: 1) Caring legitimization type, 2) Contextual legitimization type and 3) Psychological legitimization type. Those identities show that ATDF teacher 1) have a caring attitude towards student interests, 2) pay attention to students’ life which is reflected in the learning process in class and 3) focus on students' interests and behavior psychologically.

Abstract

Reading habits in Indonesian society have not developed well. In addition, the learning is carried out at this time has not been able to develop reading skills effectively and efficiently. This study aimed to analyze the mindset relationship to reading literacy ability in fifth grade elementary school students. This type of research is a correlation. The design of this research is quantitative with correlational research methods. The population in this study were all fifth-grade elementary school students, totaling 79 students. The research sample amounted to 55 students. Data collection methods used are non-test and test methods. The instrument used in collecting data are a questionnaire and reading literacy test. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive quantitative, and statistical inferential. The study results are the results of the testing hypothesis I, obtained rcount 0.757 > rtable 0.266 then H0 is rejected, which means it is significant. Hypothesis II test results, rcount 0.434 > rtable 0.266 then H0 is rejected, which means it is significant. So that the Growth mindset has a relationship with the reading literacy ability of fifth-grade elementary school students. A fixed mindset also positively impacts students' reading literacy skills. Abstract

The problems that arise from the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted all aspects of human life, one of which is termination of employment. Termination of employment is something that is feared by all workers. There are varied reactions given by both employees and the environment. There were employees who can be resilient and accept the situation they are in, on the other side there were employees who did not accept their situation and have difficulty facing various obstacles because of the loss of self-optimism. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the contribution of optimism to the resilience of employees who experienced termination of employment.  This research used quantitative method with a simple regression design. The participants of this study involved 40 people using incidental sampling technique.  The measurement of this research used an optimism scale and a resilience scale. Data analysis for testing the research hypothesis uses a simple regression test. The results showed that optimism had no effect on the resilience of employees who experienced termination of employment with a t value of 1.320 < t table of 1.685. This indicates that optimism is not a factor that triggers individuals to be resilient from bad situations due to experiencing layoffs.

The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. Collecting data from this study was obtained by observation and interviews. The instrument used to collect data is an interview sheet. In this qualitative research, the researcher used the data analysis technique carried out in four stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification/drawing conclusions. Triangulation is also used as a multi-method approach when collecting and analyzing data. The study's results, namely the role of parental assistance in learning motivation and discipline in students during the Covid-19 pandemic, were shown by various efforts. First, parents provide learning facilities for children to participate in online learning. Second, parents always accompany and support learning activities at home. Third, parents set an excellent example for their children. This study aims at analyzing reading-related activities that are available in English textbook entitled “Effective English; Bahasa Inggris untuk SMP/MTs Kelas VII” was used for 7th Grade students and describing how the reading texts were exploited by the English teacher in the classroom. This study employed a qualitative descriptive research design. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students and an English teacher at Junior High School. Data were collected through document analysis, class observations, and interviews. The data in this study were analyzed through the data analysis procedures which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are only a few reading-related activities in the English textbook entitled, namely lexical items and questioning activity. Meanwhile, the teacher’s strategies in exploiting the reading texts were also limited as the teacher closely used reading-related activities available in the textbook. This study was limited in time, number of subjects, and data sources so that further research is suggested for more generalizable findings.

Abstract

The conventional report cards that are used still have a high level of complexity, thus triggering the teacher's stress level at the end of each semester in inputting grades. The purpose of this study was to create a mobile-based elementary school report card information system (SIRAM) to reduce teacher stress levels. This development research uses the ADDIE model. In this study using a quantitative approach as well as qualitative. The research subjects were grade 3 (three) teachers. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation guidelines, questionnaires, and rating scale sheets. The data analysis technique used the one sample t-test. Based on the analysis carried out, the results of the SIRAM application have Login, Create, Read, Update, Delete (CRUD) features. The result of content validity is 0.9, so that it is declared valid with a high level of validity indicating that it is feasible to use it. The results of the effectiveness test of the teacher's stress level, with a significance level of 0.05 (5%) obtained a t value of 1.761, then the SIRAM application did not affect the teacher's stress level, before and after the administration of the SIRAM application. The implication of this research is that it is hoped that the next impact will be that schools can subscribe to hosting as a support for applications so that they can continue to use the SIRAM application in the future.
