This research is significant in view of the need in ensuring that the supply chain activities at the education sector is aligned with the objective to provide the best service to the stake holders especially the future human capital resource, which is the graduates. The research has successfully been carried out at University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) or campuses. This research analysed Supplier Performance Management practice between the campuses, criteria used for supplier performance and identify barrier elements in applying supplier performance management. Data collection has been carried out by the primary data, i.e. using questionnaires and interview session. The study revealed significant finding which contributed to the Supply Chain Knowledge and practices. There is a gap between the supplier assessment criteria adopted by the campuses as compared with literature review. There are differences in supplier evaluation criteria between the 7 campuses involved in the research. ISO certification, top management commitment and poor knowledge on benefits of Supplier Performance Management system are barrier factors. The research found variances of supplier evaluation criteria among the campuses. It is suggested to explore further on the connection/relationship between Quality Management System (QMS) or ISO 9001 certified organization and Supplier Performance Management adoption.

The main purpose of this study is to propose the equilibrium price modelling for affordable housing in Malaysia. This paper examines whether the equilibrium price of affordable housing is strongly related with any affordable housing demand factors (house price, housing physical state, monetary status, population changes, location, and infrastructure amenities provided) and affordable housing supply factors (house price, cost of construction, land availability, population changes, location, and government interventions). The empirical data of housing prices are collected from Valuation and Property Services Department of the Ministry of Finance Malaysia from 1995 to 2015. Regression analysis is conducted to see the strength of relationship between the affordable housing demand and supply factors with the affordable housing equilibrium price. The paper is useful for buyer and private developers to know which factors lead to equilibrium price of affordable housing. This paper can serve as a guide for the government in controlling and stabilizing the affordable housing price.

Inland Dry Port terminal has become a very effective tool of enhancement of port capacity through its vertical integration with the hinterland and it results in tremendous direct and indirect benefits as envisaged in the literature. These benefits cannot be achieved without identifying and involving the proper stakeholders in the planning process and operations. Multan Dry Port was established in 1995 and it is marked by inefficiency and could not attract the customers and failed to achieve the benefits of its establishment. This paper identifies the bottlenecks and the flaws in the planning process which contributed towards the inefficiency of the port. In Pakistan, there are many dry ports working to facilitate the imports and exports. Multan being central place of the biggest province of Pakistan is playing crucial role in uplift of national economy. In this regard Multan Dry Port facility is an important hallmark. This research is a real attempt by which problems faced by Dry Port located in central Pakistan e.g Multan Dry Port, are identified. Connectivity of the dry port with seaport through rail link is a fundamental characteristic and it is missing in case of Multan Dry Port. Due to absence of the rail link it cannot get benefit of economies of scale and the cost of bonded carrier make the consignment uneconomical. The paper analyses the intermodal potential and proposes an intermodal node over the existing railways network facilitating Multan Dry Port operations. The paper also devises a theoretical framework for the planning process of the dry ports in future identifying the actors and their role in boosting dry port efficiency.

To develop a strategy for an organization it is important to understand the organization and its surrounding environment. Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT) analysis is a famous tool to perform this task precisely by showing the strength, weakness of the organization and the external factors, opportunities and threats that affect its success. The SWOT analysis is commonly used by business; however, non-profit organizations also use the SWOT analysis for decision-making and strategy evaluation. The limitation of SWOT analysis is it does not give weight for the factors and there is no quantified result from the analysis. The methods introduced in this paper are Sugeno lambda measure and Choquet fuzzy integral. Sugeno lambda measure is used for aggregating the importance of characteristics and Choquet fuzzy integral is used for the overall analytical evaluation of strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of a specific organization. A case study has been conducted for a currency exchange office and the region of Pardubice, Czech Republic (CR) to explain the application of the proposed approach for profit and non- profit organizations.
