Abstract

The present research aims at studying the knowledge bases of value stream costs, Lean Accounting and supply chain management. Proper supply chain performance plays a crucial role in the success of organizations. Therefore, it is essential to use an appropriate supply chain performance assessment system to continuously improve it. The purpose of this research is to analyze supply chain performance according to the operational reference model of supply chain. In addition to using the tools of Lean Accounting in measuring the costs of value stream so that helps economic units in managing and reducing costs consistent with the requirements of the modern manufacturing environment. The measurement of value steam costs helps to provide appropriate information that can serve the management of the economic unit in decision making process in such a way as to help control all elements of the value steam costs effectively and efficiently. As well as improving and developing value stream reports as a result of the easy understanding of the stream of information and the stream of materials, assets and procedures in a streamlined. The current research has been applied in Al-Zawraa General Company/Power Structured Factory for financial year ended 2017. The research also presented a set of recommendations that emphasize the importance of using Lean Accounting tools in measuring costs of value stream in the manner that is reflected in cost management effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This paper develops and empirically tests the mediating role of switching costs in service quality - loyalty and satisfaction-loyalty relationships. Especially, different types of switching costs are tested separately providing more insights into their roles. A research model about the interrelationships between service quality, customer satisfaction, switching costs and customer loyalty is developed. Based on this model, a survey is conducted with retail banking customers, with and 261valid respondents. The hypotheses are then proposed and tested using Structural equation modeling technique (SEM). The analysis reveals that: positive switching cost is a significant mediator for both service quality-loyalty and satisfaction-loyalty relationships, while negative switching cost only mediates the service quality-loyalty relationship. These findings suggest that building and managing switching costs are necessary following-up steps after customer satisfaction for achieving long-term customer loyalty.

Abstract

This research uses Supply Chain (SC) data gathered during the distribution and transportation activities of organic coffee. The purpose of this research is to analyze different ways in which crop-chain solutions are adopted in the region of Junn, Peru. The disintegration of the SC is revealed, as each cooperative member works uncoordinatedly on his own leading to different results standards with high costs and low returns. The study focused on different entities from farmers to the port of Callao of an organic coffee supply chain where disintegration is constant. The paper describes a misaligned supply chain including poorly collaboration. All problems found will be an opportunity to develop a distribution model in the organic coffee supply chain of Junn region.

Abstract

Radio frequency identification (RFID) Supply chain management (SCM) are an integral part of today's business world. RFID increases productivity and convenience. There are several studies conducted in the past to examine the question of productivity of the authors. However, prior studies have not discussed in detail the research productivity patterns of individual RFID SCM authors together, across a relatively large number of journals and a lengthy time frame. Previous studies have also not established any benchmark of individual research productivity, regarding both the number of publications, i.e. quantity and the impact of those published papers, i.e. quality, required to place among the leading contributors in the field of RFID SCM collectively. The present study examined 631 global publications on "RFID Supply Chain Management" downloaded from Scopus database during 1999-2015. The positioning and associated percentiles of individual authors were calculated and prepared six quality and quantity metrics from equal credit method and direct count method; authors identify the aggregate productivity standards necessary for an individual author to be ranked at various places in the field of RFID SCM together.

Abstract

Digitalization is becoming one of the most debated technological trends radically changing how enterprises run and affect entire value chains across organizations. Factors such as globalization, increased data flow, complexity in supply chain operations, and more demanding and critical customer requirements are changing the nature of modern supply chains. The current research reveals how digitalization is reshaping supply chains and how different regions and industries are adapting to digitalization by investigating: the emerging digitalization trends in supply chain strategies, the global geographical impact of digitalization trends, and the impact on different types of business industries. The research is based on a comprehensive statistical analysis conducted on 119 scientific and management consulting studies. The study reveals that digitalization is becoming a revolutionary trend with an increasing pattern of interest from governments, organizations, and academic researchers in the form of nine main digitalization trends applied in various business industries and regions.

Abstract

Firms strive to achieve the sustainable competitive advantage in diverse and changing marketplaces. Coping with such circumstances has required firms to align information technology with business strategy in order to exploit their capabilities and change business practices. In this regard, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system has become increasingly important for organizations to build strong capabilities, improve operational performance, enhance business decision making and compete in a global business context. In other words, an ERP system integrates an organizations resources and also involves business processes and organizational changes. With the ubiquitous growth of IS investment, implementation of ERP systems has grown strongly. Recently, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have started to adopt ERP systems. An example is Egypt, where they have done so to increase their competitiveness in the global market. However, historically, ERP implementation has been shown to have a high failure rate, which is one of the main reasons users resist using the ERP system. Conversely, users acceptance of the ERP system is the key to the ERP implementation. Thus, this study attempts to find out the important factors that affect end users intention to use the ERP system during the pre-implementation phase of the ERP lifecycle in the higher education context. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) with minor adjustments is the basis of this study. Ultimately, the findings of this research could enrich employees' experience by giving HEIs a tool for better understanding those factors affecting their ability to effectively utilize ERP systems. The proposed model has the ability to enhance the current level of the motivating factors influencing employees motivation to utilize ERP systems.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the barriers in information sharing among humanitarian NGOs, providing educational services for Syrian refugees in Jordan. The study has used qualitative exploratory case study through semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted with project managers, coordination officers, and supply managers in their offices in Amman. The results were analysed based on the interviews, conducted among employees. Different barriers were evaluated through the interviews including information availability, internet issues, confidentiality and privacy, the commitment of partners and managemnt, security issues, language barrier, quality of information, corruptio, and culture and tradition. The effectiveness of information systems in supply chaim management leads to incentive misalignment, under-optimal decisions, and difficulties of refugeed demand uncertainty. The information technology facilitates efficient supply chain because of associated advantages, including knowledge and best practices to ensure effective performance.

Abstract

AbstractResearchers analysis is focused on a logistic company in Maluku, with fish processing as its raw material. They understand about the supply chain strategy, but in fact, the amount and value of production from year to year is not very stable, lack of fun operational in the process and in building relations with the positive impression of the community. The determining method for researchers analysis is based on the quantitative approach. The results of this approach provide almost 90% of the information that is needed. The researchers think that technically, SAP ERP Enterprise Core is able to compensate for the implementation of their ERP and SAP Business Suite integrated solution packages, such as SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management), SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management), SAP SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and SAP PLM (Product Life Cycle Management). SCM, PLM in their supply chain strategy and CRM, SRM are as a customer service technique in a fun sales process with an integrated information system network through rapidly growing social media developments. The results of these managements are very influential on their business process. The effect is not only for the company but it also has a great influence on the welfare of local communities (fishermen) in producing good quality of raw materials. According to researchers, the water has an area of 658,294.69 km or reaching 92.4%, as much as 20% of the potential of capture fishery is in this region, hence the increase of food source and fish nutrition, community welfare (fishermen), company development In Maluku should remain in monitor and increase from year to year.
