Abstract

The quiddity of knowledge is about a collection of knowledge, a process, a collection of values, ​​and one way to get to know the world. Therefore, learning science becomes complex to minimize apperception and understand concepts. One of the lessons that can be done is science learning with an environment-based learning model where the object of learning is oriented to real experiences, collecting data directly, so that the data obtained is accurate. This study provides a picture of the role of environment-based learning in the cognitive and affective domains of students, both from the teacher's and students' perspectives. Based on the results of research studied from science-based learning results in an increase in learning outcomes to student skills such as critical thinking skills, problem-solving to conceptual understanding. The positive role can also be understood by teachers when developing environment-based learning because science learning can be exemplified in real terms and motivate teacher creativity in utilizing the environment both material and material within the school environment. In the affective domain, changing students' attitudes such as motivation and interest in learning, scientific attitudes, and attitudes to care for the environment.

Abstract

The interaction between humans and the environment in utilizing the environmental potential as a source of social studies learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the environment as a learning resource for social studies. The research method used is a qualitative research method with the type of literature. Data collection is taken from the search for library materials following the research carried out, then analyzed based on theory. The results of this study are to improve students' memory according to experience, renewable learning resources, social studies learning to be meaningful and memorable, provision of abilities for students in living life. This study concludes that the environment can be used as a source of social studies learning because it relates to the natural environment and the social environment so that it can foster a sense of love for the environment.

Abstract

The green space in urban areas is the problem of its own for the speedy development. However, in our neighbourhood housing complex of RW 9 Joyogrand Merjosari village has potential housing facilities of empty land that could be used as green, active and productive space. The purpose of the study is to find the conceptual recommendation which relates to the development of sustainable green space benefiting the citizens and the natural environment. The methodology used is through study literature in accordance with green open space planning and sustainable landscape that includes 5 criteria; environment, economic, social and culture, an architectural aesthetic, institutional and, then conduct direct studies based on the criteria in question. Having conducted the survey, there was a space commensurate, open space for park, an open space for path and open space the island, but those potential spaces haven’t been properly used. Therefore, recommendations of sustainable green space development planning based on the sustainable landscape criteria is needed. From the environmental criteria, the physical qualities need to be increased. The economy can be increased by production activities such as productive plant cultivation and thematic space tourism development. The architectural planning for the gardens and environmental landmark can give space and attractive place experience. It also involves all agencies or group social housing in our neighbourhood RW.9 Joyogrand Merjosari urban village.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study is part of the prelimanary study which aims to examines of spatial and physical characteristics in the public space environment as a measurement parameter of visual comfort on the quality of the environment public open space. The author will conduct a qualitative descriptive analysis using literature data and results of previous studies in evaluating the quality of public spaces based on visual quality. This case study takes an object in the form of green open space, "Singha Park," with all the forming attributes in the form of hardscape and softscape elements. In this study, it was found that "Taman Singha" is a reasonably effective and in good quality. Based on the analysis and observations on visual physical characters using guidelines from PPS (Project of Public Space), 2011. Using six PPS parameters, we found that using two parameters of visual quality measurement, namely: Comfort and image. where these two parameters are found in "Taman Singha."

Abstract

Contemporary architect designed houses tend to be environmentally friendly and energy efficient. An architect-designed residence is not only a place of refuge, a reflection of character, lifestyle and shows existence, but also must be energy efficient and environmentally friendly. This study seeks to describe what are the elements of environmentally friendly architecture and energy efficient architecture in the residential design of IAI Malang. The research design uses a mix method, namely exploring (qualitative) as well as trying to explain (quantitative). The research strategy is hermeneutics. The data collection method is secondary data. Using 3 analytical methods, namely descriptive analysis, thematic analysis and comparative analysis. The output of the research is a diagram of the elements forming sustainable architecture in 10 residential samples by architect IAI Malang.
