The history of the Journal Journal of Secretary and Business Administration (Henceforth JSAB) is established in June 2017. It is created as a medium for practitioners, lecturers, and researchers interested in studying the disciplines of secretary and business administration, both in theory and practice. It is published twice a year that is in February and August. Due to the technical issues, the first publication was in October 2017. Yet, for the upcoming publication, it will follow the regular schedule.

Abstract

With the expanding of internet access, more and more activities related to buying or selling goods and services done through e-commerce. One of the e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, Shopee Indonesia, is here to meet the needs of Indonesian consumers in buying and selling online. But there are some cases showing that customers get unsatisfactory e-service quality. These consumers complain in various online media to voice their disappointment at unsatisfactory e-service providers. This affects the buying interest of other consumers who read these customers’ complaints. Besides ruined by unsatisfactory services given by its vendors, the shopee's brand image also affects consumers who want to shop online through Shopee, in this case related to consumer buying interest. There are many ways to see how the brand image is good or not. As in the Top Brand Indonesia site, where Indonesian Shopee is not included in the Top Brand Indonesia buying and selling category. Responding to this, this studi has the aims to see and measure the extent of the influence of e-service quality and brand image on consumers' buying interest in PT Shopee International Indonesia. By doing so, data are analyzed using the classic assumption test, product moment correlation coefficient analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient and partial hypothesis test (T test) and simultaneous hypothesis test (Test F). The results of this study indicated that e-service quality has a significant effect on buying interest with a significance value of 0.037 which is from F table of 3.0901. Whereas the relationship between independent and dependent variables is 29.9%, which is indicated by the value of Adusted R Square of 0.299. This means that the remaining 71.1% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Keywords: brand image, buying interest shopee indonesia, e-service quality

Abstract

Environmental issues are getting worse and worse. Indonesia is the second country to dispose of the largest marine waste in the world because the level of knowledge of the community regarding environmental impacts is still low. This study aims to determine how much influence the green brand on purchase intention mediated by green knowledge in Nestle Indonesia Company. The research method used is a quantitative method with the type of research used is descriptive verification and the measurement scale used is the Likert scale. The study population was all consumers of Nestle Indonesia’s product at Bandung City with a sample of 400 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was nonprobability sampling. The data analysis method used in this study is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data processing is done using SmartPLS. Based on the results of the hypothesis green brand of green knowledge has a value of 13,482 >α value of 1.649. It means that green brand variables have a positive and significant effect on green knowledge, and green brand on purchase intention has a value of 12,716 > tα 1.649 it means that green brand have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, while green knowledge on purchase intention shows a value of 6,853 > tα value of 1,649 which means that green knowledge have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the green brand in the good category, green knowledge in pretty good categories, purchase intention in the good categories, and the results of SEM analysis related the influence of green brand and green knowledge have a significant influence on purchase intention. Abstract

With the development of information technology can create an electronic filing system that is useful for storing documents in the form of soft files. Realizing the effectiveness of the electronic filing system, several aspects need to be considered, namely speed, convenience, efficiency and, safety. In this study, we want to see how effective the electronic filing system is applied to PT Konimex Solo especially in the Human Resource Department. The researcher used qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study were the Head of Recruitment Administration Section, Recruitment Administration Staff, HRD Administration Staff, and Personnel Section Staff. The results of the study indicate that the Human Resource Department of PT Konimex Solo has been effective in using the electronic filing system "HRIS: Human Resource Information System". Abstract

Nowadays many companies have make use of information technology. Implementation of information technology has been done partly of wholly, depending on each company’s need. Companies are aware of the benefit in making use of information technology to win the competition in business which is tighter and competitive. The decision to make use of information technology should be started by having the blue print so that the implementation of information technology can be sustained and bring a competitive advantage to the company. One of the form of information technology’s implementation in company is known as e-business. Digital filing is one of the form of e-business implementation in company. Most of work done in company is producing or making documents. Digital filing’s role as a part of information technology is important in managing the company’s documents. By having an excellent document management, documents as an important assets for company, could be maintained and easily found when needed. PT Dirgantara Indonesia as one of the well known state-owned company in Indonesia and overseas has implemented the digital filing as a form of e-business implementation. PT Dirgantara Indonesia is aware of the benefit in using the digital filing in keeping and finding documents needed. This study uses descriptive methodology, while data collections are collected through observation, interview, literature and documentation studies. The results show that the decision in implementing digital filing is a right decision that PT Dirgantara Indonesia have taken, which is in line with PT Dirgantara Indonesia’s vision: “To become the world-class company in the industry based on mastering a high technology and being able to compete in the global market by focusing on cost efficiency”. It proves that PT Dirgantara Indonesia aware to change its business processes platform to digital. Documents management done by PT Dirgantara Indonesia consists of 2 (two) main activities they are filing and finding documents needed. PT Dirgantara Indonesia needs to maintain the hardware and software, internet connection so that documents management can be done smoothly. Abstract

The increasingly fierce business competition conditions and increasing creativity in Bandung require business people, especially in the culinary field, to innovate. One Eighty Coffee and Music is one café that innovates by having a unique concept. However, besides the unique things, there are other factors that encourage consumer behavior in making purchasing decisions at a café. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out the most dominant and significant factors in encourage purchasing decisions in One Eighty Coffee and Music. This research is a descriptive type research, using quantitative research methods. The measurement scale in this study is a Likert scale. The population in this study is, One Eighty Coffee and Music consumers with a sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with one type of grouping namely accidental sampling. The process of data collection is to use primary data and secondary data. The data analysis technique used is factor analysis using SPSS 23 for processing the data. In this study, there are 4 new components that encourage consumers to make purchases at One Eighty Coffee and Music. The four components that can cover all these factors are hedonist, availability and supply, promotion and advertising, and health benefits. Based on the calculation of loading factors, the health benefit factor is the most dominant and significant factor in encourage purchasing decisions in One Eighty Coffee and Music, meaning consumers make purchases at One Eighty Coffee and Music because consumers are aware of their health and One Eighty Coffee and Music is trusted have a healthy menu that can fulfill consumer desires in maintaining personal health and the desire to consume healthy products. Therefore, One Eighty Coffee and Music is expected to provide food that can fulfill health, not just filling, but also makes consumers healthy. Abstract

Unemployment is now a very complex problem in several developing countries. Some governments in developing countries have a number of programs to reduce this problem. One of them is Indonesia. The only solution to this problem is to increase the number of entrepreneurs, so that new jobs can be formed. In order to achieve this goal, a synergy between government and universities is needed to produce graduates who have entrepreneurial spirit. The purpose of this study is to look for factors that inhibit a person from entrepreneurship for college graduates. This research was conducted at Widyatama University, Bandung, Indonesia. By distributing a questionnaire of 100 questionnaires to respondents whose respondents were graduates of Widyatama University. This research was analyze with PLS (Partial Least Square) method and processed with XLSTAT software. The results showed that the most dominant factor being an obstacle in entrepreneurial intention was aversion to stress and hardwork with a value of 0.2333. Abstract

In the city of Bandung, there are many businesses established by the family of one of them a gold shop. Gold entrepreneurs managed to get bright prospects by choosing the next generation who came from family members. However, researchers must find the truth about this research. The purpose of this study is to study the factors that influence the first generation in selecting the next generation with succession planning in the family business to survive for a long time. The 24 variables in the first generation succession planning research in the family business support six theories, Alcorn (1982), John Ward (1998), Alan Carsrud (2006), Soedibyo (2007), Boyd, Royer, Pie, and Zhang (2015) and Ghee, Ibrahim and Halim (2015). This research is a quantitative factor analysis study. The population is known to researchers through surveys to gold shops in Bandung, amounting to 120 populations and 60 respondents. Data were then processed by a factor analysis method through the help of SPSS version 23 for Windows. The research produced five factors that enhance the success of the first generation of planning to choose the next generation in the gold shop family business in the city of Bandung. The five factors are competent next generation factors of 30,014%, the main focus of the target factor is 11,157%, the business relationship factor with the family is 11,081%, the first generation factor is 11,044% and the planning and succession control factor is 10,642%. The total to 73,938%, so there was another factor of 26.02% which affected the generation of information for family businesses in Bandung. Abstract

In the higher educational institutions, the behaviour of the students need to be managed and members of the institutions are required to bring about improvements in the implementation of tasks and functions. Learning behavior is influenced by several factors, including internal factors, namely physical, psychological, motivational, and external factors, namely the environment. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence student learning behavior in terms of family environment factors, campus environment, and motivation to learn. The type of research is descriptive using explanatory survey research methods, this study will be analyzed using structural equation models (Structural Equation Modeling, SEM) with alternative Partial Least Square (PLS) methods using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The population of this study was the students of ASM Ariyanti Bandung. The results of testing the first hypothesis showed that there was a significant correlation between the family environment and the campus environment. The second hypothesis has a significant correlation between campus environment and learning motivation. The third hypothesis also has a significant correlation between family and environment and motivation to learn. The results of the fourth hypothesis indicate that the family environment has a positive and significant effect on student learning behavior. The fifth hypothesis shows that the campus environment has a positive and significant effect on student learning behavior. The sixth hypothesis shows that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on student learning behavior. The seventh hypothesis shows that the family environment, campus environment, and motivation to learn together have a positive and significant effect on student learning behavior. So it is clear that the family environment, campus environment, learning motivation and student learning behavior are interconnected. Abstract

Shopee is one of the markets that provide online trading platforms in Indonesia. Shopee is known by consumers as a brand associated with brands only for women. Though Shopee is a neutral market and is aimed at all circles. Brand equity. This will have an impact on consumer preferences including male consumers of the Shopee brand. Shopee has a strategy by launching the "Shopee for Men" program and using Bambang Pamungkas and Vincent Rompies as supporters to change consumer perceptions that Shopee is a market for all people and forms Shopee brand equity. The factor that can shape the equity band is the credibility of endorsers and their own brand connections. Therefore the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of endorser credibility on brand equity with self-brand connection as a mediator. This study uses a quantitative method with a type of descriptive causal research. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling which is a part of non probability. Respondents from this study were 100 consumers with male sex living on the island of Java. This study uses SEM-PLS data analysis techniques. The results of this study are endorser credibility, brand equity and self-brand connections in Shopee For Men in the high category. There is a positive influence between credibility of endorsers and brand equity and self-brand connections have an indirect influence or as a mediator between credibility of endorsers and brand equity.

Abstract

This research is aimed to find out the influence of recruitment toward the performance of the non-medical employee in Pindad General Hospital Bandung. We use quantitative method in this research, and the data collecting method we use observation, questionnaire, interview, documentation study and literature review. The number of population is ten respondents consisted of Head of Non-Medical Employee Affairs and Head of Non-Medical Employee Section, and sample use in this research is Saturation Sampling. The calcuration result of correlation test provides correlation coefficient as much as 0.531 which means that the level of relation strengh (correlation) is between 0.51-0.57 or strongly related. This study aims to determine the effect of recruitment on the performance of non-medical employees at Pindad Bandung General Hospital. The type of research used is quantitative methods and data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews, study documentation and literature. The total population is 10 (ten) respondents, namely the head of affairs (Kaur) and the head of the field (Kabid) of non-medical employees, the entire population is sampled then the sampling technique uses saturated sampling. Based on the result of this research, we provide these suggestions : 1) Finding out the employee that has appropriate education level with the position needed, 2) Using the various media to display job vacancy advertisement, 3) Increasing the supervision in academic test, 4) Addition of employee in Human Capital for personnel and education training division.
