Abstract

Taman Griya Asri Cilebut housing complex, Bogor Regency, often experiences flooding due to high rainfall and inadequate drainage capacity. This study aims to redesign the drainage system, including calculating the planned flood discharge and determining the channel dimensions. The algebraic method is used for hydrological analysis because the catchment area is less than 500 km². The results of the study show that the planned flood discharge for a 5-year return period for secondary and tertiary channels varies between 0.02 m³/s to 0.39 m³/s. The redesign produces appropriate channel dimensions, for example tertiary channel 2 (h=0.5 m, b=0.4 m), tertiary 3 (h=0.6 m, b=0.8 m), and tertiary 4 (h=0.6 m, b=0.5 m) with a square shape using U-Ditch Precast. This redesign is expected to reduce flooding in the housing complex.

Abstract

Public construction projects often face challenges in controlling time and cost, including the maintenance project of the rooftop waterproofing of the IPU Building, 7th Floor, at RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang City. This study aims to evaluate the project performance using the Earned Value Management (EVM) method, which integrates schedule and cost analysis to provide a comprehensive overview of project execution efficiency. The study was conducted up to the 5th week, with a work progress of 20.017%. The data used include the budget plan, S-curve, weekly reports, and actual project costs, analyzed using Microsoft Excel. The calculation results show that in the 4th week, the project experienced a cost deviation with a Cost Variance (CV) of -Rp47,228,379.15 and a schedule deviation with a Schedule Variance (SV) of -Rp16,025,142.49. The Cost Performance Index (CPI) of 0.76 indicates budget overrun, while the Schedule Performance Index (SPI) of 0.90 indicates a delay in execution. The estimated total cost at completion (EAC) is Rp939,260,546.02, exceeding the initial budget of Rp715,408,147.00, and the estimated total time for completion (EAS) is 9.42 weeks compared to the original plan of 9 weeks. These findings highlight the importance of implementing EVM to detect early project deviations and provide a quantitative basis for project performance evaluation

Abstract

The implementation of program management in megaprojects often encounters a gap between strategic planning and field execution. This study evaluates stakeholder perceptions regarding the effectiveness of program implementation and project performance in Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital City (IKN). A quantitative survey was conducted with 200 respondents divided into two infrastructure typologies: Horizontal (roads, area development, water resources) and Vertical (high-rise and low-rise buildings). A 6-point Likert scale questionnaire measured six variables: benefit tracking (X1), resource allocation (X2), coordination (X3), risk management (X4), program implementation (M1), and project performance (Y1). The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and multigroup analysis. In Horizontal projects, coordination emerged as the dominant factor (X3→M1 = 0.546; p = 0.000), with program implementation significantly affecting project performance (M1→Y1 = 0.413; p = 0.000). In Vertical projects, risk management was key (X4→M1 = 0.302; X4→Y1 = 0.412; p = 0.000). The strongest indirect effect was found in the coordination-to-performance path through program implementation (0.259; p = 0.000). R² values indicate strong predictive power for program implementation (Horizontal = 0.617; Vertical = 0.660) and project performance (Horizontal = 0.680; Vertical = 0.597). These findings highlight the importance of context-specific program governance strategies.

Abstract

The case of embankment on soft clay soil that must be completed quickly can be assisted by additional reinforcement on the soft soil. One example is by using geosynthetics that have high tensile strength at the base of the embankment, thereby increasing the stability of the embankment. The use of geosynthetics is widely used in the improvement of soft clay subgrade in embankment construction in an effort to increase its bearing capacity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of geotextiles under embankment soil to increase the stability of the soil below it and to determine the safety value, deformation and stress changes that occur in soil reinforced with geotextiles using Plaxis 2D software. The methods used in this final project consist of data collection methods, data analysis techniques, presentation methods and flow diagrams of planning studies. From the results of the analysis, the safety factor is F = 0.742 <1.2 for embankment conditions without geotextiles while the safety factor is F = 1.380> 1.2 for embankment conditions with geotextiles. This shows that there is an effect of using geotextiles under the embankment in increasing the safety factor. The total deformation value for embankments without geotextiles is 25.10 mm, the total stress value for embankments without geotextiles is 180.35 kN/m2, the total deformation value for embankments with geotextiles is 36.27 mm, while the total stress value for embankments with geotextiles is 190.26 kN/m2.

Abstract

This study examines traffic safety in areas that are often hit by accidents on the Palbapang - Samas Road Section. This investigation began with the high rate of traffic accidents that endanger the safety of people crossing this road. The research methods used include analyzing the existing literature, conducting direct observations, and gathering key information through surveys and conversations with community members to accurately capture the true situation. Additional information was obtained from relevant organizations, such as the Department of Transportation and local law enforcement, to refine the findings. The results showed that the main reasons for accidents included road design that did not meet standards and the actions of drivers who were not in a traffic order, including excessive speed and ignoring road signs. Many locations known as high-risk zones demand immediate action from local government officials. The conclusion emphasizes the need to improve infrastructure by adding more traffic signs, improving road markings, ensuring adequate lighting, and promoting public awareness initiatives to foster a culture of responsible driving that can significantly lower accident rates.

Abstract

Traffic conditions on road sections always vary and are never the same. This variation can be seen not only in the amount of traffic volume, but also in the variation of traffic speed and density on the road section. The more traffic volume that passes through a road section, the less the speed of the vehicle and the denser the road section. To find out the relationship between these variables, the author tries to analyze the correlation model of traffic volume, speed and density. This research was conducted on the RTA. Milono road for 2 days, namely Monday and Tuesday. Traffic volume data and average vehicle travel time were taken during the morning, afternoon and evening peak hours for 2 hours each, namely 06.00-08.00 am, 11.00-13.00 pm and 16.00-18.00 pm. The number of samples of vehicle travel time was taken as many as 98 pieces for each direction A and B based on the Slovin formula.  Data analysis using Greenshield method, or linear regression, which is a model consisting of 2 variables x and y, where traffic speed as variable y and road density as variable x, test the correlation between the two variables using R2. The correlation model of vehicle speed with density from the data analysis results obtained 6 models, with the highest R2 given by the model Y = 58,72 – 0,67 X with R2 = 0,94 indicating that 94% of the traffic density data is linearly connected with vehicle speed. The model of the relationship between traffic volume and density is Q = 58.72D - 0.67D2 and the model of the relationship between traffic volume and speed is Q = 87.67Vs - 1.493Vs2. The three models show that as the traffic density increases by 1 vehicle/km on road section B will have an impact on decreasing the speed by 0,67 km/h, and as the density increases by D vehicles/km on road section B will have an impact on reducing the traffic volume by 0.67D2 SMP/h and shows as the speed increases by Vs (km/h) on road section B will have an impact on reducing the traffic volume by 1.493Vs2 (SMP/h). Then the increase in traffic volume on the road, will cause a decrease in speed and an increase in the density of vehicles on the road, which causes the level of service of the road to also be lower.

Abstract

Palangka Raya is the capital of Central Kalimantan province as a connecting city to the National Capital of the Archipelago. As a hub city, it is important to review infrastructure and security readiness. Jalan Tjilik Riwut Km 1 - Km 10 is the main road section as a cross-provincial route to IKN which often has accidents so further analysis needs to be carried out. The aim of this research is to determine the characteristics of traffic accidents and determine black spots on the Tjilik Riwut road Km 1 - Km 10, Palangka Raya city as well as appropriate recommendations. The method used is the Equivalent Accident Number (EAN) or Accident Equivalent Number (AEK). The characteristics of accidents on the Tjilik Riwut road section are that the majority occur at Km 1.5, with the most incidents in 2019, the most types of vehicles are MC, with a single accident, the nature of the road is straight, the majority of accidents are male, mature age and type of work private. The majority of accidents are due to entering and leaving the market and the sudden wide median at Km 1. The black spot location in this study, namely at Km 1+000 to 1+999, has a total of 65 accidents with an Accident Equivalent Number (AEK) of 304 which is which exceeds the specified Upper Control Limit (BKA) number (136.2). Recommendations that can be made are adding a Rumble Strip to reduce vehicle speed and changing the design of the road median to create a smoother transition from small to large.
