Abstract

The low mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDIT Annisa in Bogor Regency, which only reached 41.17% in the initial cycle, became the focus of this research. This issue is attributed to the use of traditional teaching methods and a lack of innovative learning media. The aim of this study was to enhance students' mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model and numbered scoreboard media. This research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) model, conducted over two cycles with several stages, including planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 17 third-grade students, and data were collected through observations, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques utilized both qualitative and quantitative approaches to assess improvements in learning outcomes. The results indicated a significant increase in learning outcomes, where the initial results of 41.17% in the pre-cycle rose to 64.70% in the first cycle and reached 94% in the second cycle. This improvement occurred as student engagement and motivation increased during the interactive and group-based learning process. These findings demonstrate that the STAD model combined with counting board media is effective in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes, as well as encouraging students to be more active and enthusiastic in their learning. This research contributes practically to the development of innovative teaching methods in elementary schools.

Abstract

The role of communication in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve the capacity of rice farmers is not just a utopia, but can become a reality. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of communication and ICT in improving the capacity of farmers. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey of 114 rice farmers in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with a correlation test to examine the relationship between ICT variables (social media ownership, digital information sources, and social media support) and farmer capacity and income. The findings show that the adoption rate of basic ICT, particularly social media ownership, has reached 59.6%. However, its use as a source of specific agricultural information is still low (10.5%), with farmers relying more on traditional methods such as discussions in farmer groups (78.1%) and extension workers (58.8%). Correlation analysis proves that there is a significant positive relationship between social media ownership and farmer capacity (r=0.342), between digital information sources and information management skills (r=0.287), and between social media support and improvement (r=0.305). Communication and ICT play a strategic role as an information bridge in improving farmer capacity. The research findings underscore the importance of integrating traditional communication systems (extension workers and farmer groups) with digital platforms to create a more effective support system and accelerate digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of local government and stakeholder perceptions of inclusive education policies from a sociological perspective. This study used qualitative research methods, including observation, interviews, literature reviews, and FGDs. The research informants were local government employees responsible for education, school principals, teachers, and parents of students. The sample comprised 20 informants, selected purposively. Data analysis was conducted through thematic analysis. The study's results indicated three main themes: readiness to implement inclusive education policies, stakeholder perceptions, and government efforts to realize equitable education. Inclusive education policies have been implemented, but not optimally, especially regarding schools' readiness to implement them. From the perspective of stakeholder perceptions of inclusive education, there was a good understanding, which has an impact on the emergence of solidarity and stakeholder participation in supporting the implementation of inclusive education policies. Government efforts have been made to assist schools in implementing inclusive education. However, the budget policy for inclusive schools has not been institutionalized. In addition to successful implementation, some factors that could strengthen policy implementation but have not been fully addressed include local cultural characteristics that have not been incorporated into inclusive education policies. Recognizing these cultural factors is crucial for fostering equitable education and ensuring policies resonate with local communities.

Abstract

Principal leadership is a critical factor influencing organizational quality, work climate, and teacher performance. However, there remains a gap in understanding how leadership practices differ between state and private schools operating within distinct institutional contexts. This comparative qualitative study aims to describe and compare the core leadership practices of both school types, based on survey data collected from 26 teachers across six primary schools in the Bogor area. Thematic analysis using ATLAS.ti was conducted to explore the patterns of leadership behavior. The results demonstrated that the institutional context significantly determines leadership stability. State school principals display high consistency in providing formal support, consensus-based communication, and maintaining stable work structures. Conversely, private school principals face limitations on autonomy due to foundation intervention, resulting in behavioral inconsistency, uneven professional support, and the risk of destructive leadership caused by poor emotional management. This research concludes that the failure of emotional control and structural limitations are key factors damaging the work climate in private schools. This finding emphasizes the need for context-sensitive leadership development, either through strengthening bureaucratic systems in state schools or increasing autonomy and role stability in private schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the entrepreneurship program at Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School and its impact on enhancing students’ economic independence and local economic growth. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the pesantren’s entrepreneurship program—covering service, industrial, retail, and technology sectors—has successfully improved students’ technical, managerial, and digital skills. The integration of entrepreneurship education with Islamic values also strengthens students’ ethical behavior and spiritual character in business practices. Moreover, pesantren business units contribute significantly to the local economy through job creation, collaboration with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and the strengthening of community-based value chains. However, several challenges remain, including limited capital, managerial literacy, and digital infrastructure. The study highlights the importance of strengthening external networks, alumni support, and digital transformation as key strategies for sustaining pesantren-based entrepreneurship. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and pesantren administrators in developing sustainable Islamic value-based economic empowerment models.

Abstract

Energy transition has become a key global agenda to reduce carbon emissions and lessen dependence on fossil fuels. As a developing country, Vietnam faces significant challenges in meeting rapidly growing energy demand while maintaining its commitment to international climate targets. In this context, multilateral cooperation through the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) with the International Partners Group (IPG) serves as a strategic instrument to support Vietnam’s energy transition process. This study aims to analyze the forms of collaboration and coordination between the Government of Vietnam and international partners in implementing the JETP framework. This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that collaboration and coordination are institutionalized through the establishment of the Resource Mobilisation Plan (RMP) as the main governance framework, national policy reforms in the energy sector, and the development of renewable energy projects supported by financial and technical assistance from the IPG. This cooperation reflects a model of institutionalized multilateralism, in which Vietnam’s national interests and global climate mitigation objectives are aligned through structured policy coordination and inter-actor collaboration.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of board characteristics and institutional ownership on operational risk disclosure of Indonesian Islamic Banks for 2017 – 2021. The research was conducted using the Pooled Least Square (PLS) method involving 15 Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia in 2017-2021. The results of this study show that the size of the board of directors has a positive effect on operational risk disclosure. In contrast, the size of the sharia supervisory board, the size of the board of commissioners, and institutional ownership do not affect operational risk disclosure. These findings have implications for policymakers and regulators of Islamic commercial banks regarding the development and implementation of the influence of board characteristics and institutional ownership that can improve operational risk disclosure. This research contributes to meeting the needs and increasing understanding of the influence of board character and institutional ownership. This can help Islamic commercial banks engage in effective compliance when carrying out operational risk disclosures.
