Abstract

This research analyzed harmony between students inreligious difference in SMA Tiga Maret Yogyakartausing qualitative methode. This study indicate (1)Adaptation (adaptation) The adaptation function forstudents has occurred since the past and has beenharmonious. (2) Achievement of the goal (goalattainment) With harmonious students, the three MarchHigh Schools in Yogyakarta interact with each other (3)Integration (integration) In Three March High SchoolYogyakarta is the role of schools and religious teachersin regulating relations between students of differentreligions in order to maintain harmony in a system bothwithin the maupuan school environment in the widercommunity. (4) Latency (maintenance of patterns) Ininteractions between students of different religions inSMA Tiga Maret Yogyakarta Latency (maintenance ofpatterns) is divided into 3 parts, namely opening oneselfto the preservation efforts undertaken so that harmonybetween students of different religions is continued withattitudes be vigilant and finally improve, where whena conflict occurs in the name of a religious communitycausing disunity is an effort that is no less important.

Abstract

The flow of Sapta Darma is part of the religion and belief that exists in Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta as the center of its development. This study explains the motives of people to join the flow of Sapta Darma in Yogyakarta and how the influence that can be for followers is also the response of society in general. This research uses qualitative case study approach through observation, interview, and documentation.The results of this study show that; First, the motive follows the flow of Sapta Darma, on the grounds that there is a worthy value with the rational foundation of values, the expectation to be accomplished with an instrumental foundation, preserving its generation with a traditional foundation, and a deep feeling. Second, the peace of the soul, living in peace and giving the teachings of tolerance, having the spiritual power of being an example to society. Third, Sapta Darma’s beliefs are accepted by the reason of this group relating to human rights, while others refuse to come from the extreme.Keywords: religion, class, motive, social action approach.

Abstract

Hegemoni sains dan teknologi dari negara-negara maju [industrial] merupakan kenyataan dalam peradaban modern, yang telah dimanfaatkan ideologi kaptalisme untuk menerapkan model-model pembangunan di negara-negara di Dunia Ketiga [developmentalisme] dengan secara konsisten menerapkan paradigma dari filsafat positivisme. Abstract

Sociology studies of religion today have developed in various Islamic colleges in Indonesia. As a science developed in universities, the sociology of religion is built with a strong epistemological foundation. Unlike the sociology of religion developed from sociology in public universities, the sociology of religion in Islamic higher education is also influenced by the Comparative Science of Religion or the Study of Religions. The following article describes the development of religious sociology studies at the UIN Sunan Kalijaga which is distinctive. The distinction of the study of the sociology of religion is influenced by the history of the development of religious sociology study programs and the praxis of religious sociology to solve social and religious problems in Indonesia. Studi sosiologi agama dewasa ini telah berkembang di berbagai perguruan tinggi agama Islam di Indonesia. Sebagai ilmu pengetahuan yang dikembangkan di perguruan tinggi,  maka sosiologi agama dibangun dengan landasan  epistemologi yang kuat. Berbeda dengan sosiologi agama yang dikembangkan dari ilmu sosiologi yang ada di perguruan tinggi umum, sosiologi agama di perguruan tinggi agama Islam juga dipengaruhi oleh Ilmu Perbandingan Agama atau Studi Agama-agama. Tulisan berikut mendeskripsikan tentang perkembangan studi sosiologi agama di UIN Sunan Kalijaga yang bersifat distingtif. Distingsi kajian sosiologi agama tersebut dipengaruhi oleh sejarah perkembangan program studi sosiologi agama dan kebutuhan praksis sosiologi agama untuk menyelesaikan problem sosial keagamaan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper describes how identity construction carried outby the Kampung DigitalSamirono communities that are part ofthe Kampung Digital program. Because it Samirono villagewhich is known as the hometown of Javanese culture that stillretains the "KluwungBudaya Kampung" in the midst ofmodernization today, and people are dynamic, creative,innovative, and even has a rural and urban character. Samironocommunities who live in the era of modernization certainly willmake their identity is lost in the presence of the KampungDigital, but Samirono community can maintain their traditionsand identity in the presence of Kampung Digital. The presence ofthe Kampung Digital is providing a new color for the peopleSamirono, in which can`t be separated from the actors whohave the power in the formation of identity for the communitySamirono.the presence of the Kampung Digital communitySamirono have two different attitudes; First, accept that it isrepresentative of the Kampung Digital providers andgovernment programs. Second, consider the normal presence ofthe Kampung Digital, because it only benefits one party only (nomonopoly) because there are interests that dominate in theprogram. Then the actors in shaping the identity of the villagecommunity Samirono authorities (government) and companies(telkom).The government's role in disseminating the KampungDigital program in the villages especially Samirono and evenhas the authority in the implementation of the program. Thenthe role of the company positioned itself as superior to localproviders Samirono inferiority.Both are external factors that aredominant in constructing identity Samirono villagers. Thus theprocess of identity formation in SamironoKampung Digital is notindependent of external factors (providers and government),then formed a values, norms, and customs of the peopleSamirono.Keywords: Community Samirono, Construction of Identity,Kampung Digital.

Abstract

This paper will review the comparison of loyalty of Abangan and Santri voters to two contestants in East Java Pilgub 2018. The reason, East Java Pilgub 2018 was followed by two contestants who both came from Nahdlatul Ulama. But on the other hand, political contestation in East Java cannot be separated from the cultural political dynamics scattered in the four corners of Mataraman, Tapal Kuda, Arek and Madura. These four regions certainly have the characteristics and loyalty of different voters both politically and sociologically. The political map certainly cannot be separated from Clifford Geertz classical study of the typology of the “aliran” politics (politik aliran) in Java. The method used in this paper is Library Research. The main information in this study was obtained through the analysis of the publication of the results of Kompas R&D survey in February and May 2018. The result of comparison analysis of loyalty of voters will not only know the extent of loyalty support of cultural groups on both candidates but see the tendency of reorientation of voting behavior in each cultural group from the influence of cadence and culture shifted to the orientation of the issues brought by the candidate.

Abstract

Kebahagiaan merupakan harapan hidup semua manusia, termasuk masyarakat marjinal Desa Hadipolo Argopuro Kudus. Menurut mereka kebahagiaan hidup meliputi beberapa hal diantaranya terpenuhinya kebutuhan sehari-hari, mendapat pekerjaan yang layak, memperoleh penghasilan yang cukup, dapat mengakses layanan publik secara maksimal, dan memperoleh layanan pendidikan maksimal. Namun realitas menunjukkan fakta berbeda, masyarakat Desa Hadipolo yang tergolong masyarakat marjinal belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan hidup dengan baik sehingga untuk menopang kebutuhan masyarakat berprofesi sebagai pengamen, pemulung, menjadi buruh pabrik dan pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, supaya diperoleh data yang valid sesuai kondisi lapangan. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebahagiaan hidup masyarakat Desa Hadipolo diidentifikasi dalam beberapa aspek: ekonomi, pendidikan, profesi/pekerjaan, dan akses layanan publik. Pada setiap aspek tersebut terdapat kualifikasi berdasarkan standar kebahagiaan masyarakat. Tercapainya kebahagaiaan hidup tidak lepas dari kondisi mental ,keterampilan, motivasi personal, serta kontribusi pemerintah daerah.Kata kunci: Makna kebahagiaan, masyarakat marginal, desa Hadipolo.Happiness is the life expectancy of all humans, including the marginal community of the village of Hadipolo Argopuro Kudus. According to them the happiness of life includes several things including the fulfillment of daily needs, getting decent work, earning enough income, being able to access public services to the full, and getting maximum education services. However, the reality shows a different fact, the Hadipolo Village people who are classified as marginal people have not been able to meet the needs of life well so as to support the needs of the community living as buskers, scavengers, becoming factory workers and markets. This study uses descriptive-qualitative methods, in order to obtain valid data according to field conditions. Data collected by observation, documentation, and interview techniques. The results showed that the happiness of the life of the Hadipolo Village community was identified in several aspects: economy, education, profession/work, and access to public services. In each of these aspects there are qualifications based on people’s happiness standards. The achievement of life’s happiness cannot be separated from mental conditions, skills, personal motivation, and the contribution of local governments.Keywords: The meaning of happiness, marginal society, Hadipolo village.

Abstract

Di tengah maraknya sikap-sikap intoleransi khususnya di Yogyakarta, agama Baha’i hadir sebagai sebuah agama yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai toleransi. Dikatakan demikian karena faktanya agama Baha’i mampu membetengi diri dari masyarakat yang beragam. Agama Baha’i di Yogyakarta merupakan agama yang tergolong minoritas namun dalam kesehariannya mereka mampu menciptakan kehidupan yang damai dan harmonis. Dengan demikian agama Baha’i adalah salah satu contoh agama yang dapat memelihara sikap-sikap toleransi. Kerukunan antara penganut agama Baha’i dengan masyarakat multirelijius nampak paling tidak dalam dua hal: pertama, dari pola relasi antar penganut agama Baha’i. Kedua, realitas kerukunan tercermin dalam lingkungan sosial masyarakat. Masyarakat Baha’i di Yogyakarta secara aktif terlibat dalam berbagai aktivitas sosial maupun aktivitas keagamaan, serta menjunjung tinggi sikap toleransi beragama, kerjasama, dan kebersamaan.Kata kunci: Agama Baha’i ,Titik temu, Agama Multirelijius

Abstract

Nama gang (jalan kecil) selama ini dianggap sebagai petunjuk alamat atau jalan dan lazim ditemukan di masyarakat urban yang lazim dengan relasi individualistis. Kendati demikian, nama gang kini juga mulai jamak ditemukan di lingkungan pedesaan. Namun bagaimana jika gang di pedesaan itu dinamai dengan logo dan brand telepon seluler? Tentu saja itu adalah realitas yang paradoks dan ganjil. Realitas itu merupakan salah satu dari realitas aneh di era postmodern, yang mana korporasi multinasional telah berhasil menyerang kesadaran masyarakat secara ideologis (total). Keberhasilan itu juga merupakan hasil dari kolaborasi media (teknologi informasi dan komunikasi) serta pasar yang sangat intim dan masif. Oleh karena itu, bagaimana cara kita menemukan pintu keluar dari jeratan itu?Keyword: gang seluler, postmodern, korporasi multinasional.The name of the alley has been considered as a sign of address or road and is commonly found in urban communities that are prevalent with individualistic relations. Nevertheless, the name of the alley is now also starting to be found in a rural environment. But what if the alley in the countryside is named after the cell phone logo and brand? Of course it is a paradoxical and strange reality. That reality is one of the strange realities in the postmodern era, in which multinational corporations have succeeded in attacking people’s consciousness ideologically (totally). This success is also the result of media collaboration (information and communication technology) and a very intimate and massive market. Therefore, how do we find the exit from the trap?Keyword: cellular alley names, postmodern, multinational corporation.

Abstract

Masyarakat Pulau Belitung mengalami akselerasi di bidang ekonomi sejak meledaknya Laskar Pelangi. Akan tetapi, di luar persoalan ekonomi terdapat persoalan identitas dan interaksi sosial keagamaan yang berubah. Masyarakat Belitung yang cenderung toleran, ramah, dan terbuka dengan non-muslim maupun wisatawan dari luar Pulau Belitung ini tidak dapat menolak pengaruh wisatawan. Sebagian fungsi masjid menjadi menurun dan terdapat budaya baru seperti bikini, minumminuman keras, penginapan, gaya hidup bersosial media, informasi mode gadget terbaru, dan sebagainya. Ibadah sebagian mereka yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pariwisata juga menjadi minimalis, cenderung konsumtif, dan individualis. Namun, ada upaya dari pemerintah desa, pemuka masyarakat, dan kesadaran warga untuk membentengi dan mengantisipasi pengaruh meledaknya jumlah wisatawan di Pulau tersebut.
