Abstract

This study aims to contextualize the values of Pancasila and Hadith in responding to the phenomenon of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) as a human unnaturalness. This article also seeks to reveal how the fundamental differences between Pancasila and Hadith in responding to LGBT as well as our attitude towards LGBT people in the current context. This research is a library research with data analysis techniques using content analysis. The data analysis technique in this research is done by collecting all materials related to LGBT through Google Scholar both in the perspective of Pancasila and Hadith. Then conducted a literature review of the content in depth. The findings are Pancasila and Hadith have the same perspective that LGBT cannot be legalized. Pancasila and Hadith limit freedom of expression and not unlimited freedom. Our attitude towards LGBT people in the context of today is to embrace, rehabilitate, and provide education, not to judge, discriminate, and segregate them.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prohibition of carrion for consumption through a scientific approach. A comprehensive understanding of this is expected to be an important foothold for Muslims to adhere to religious principles. The research method uses qualitative with a literature study approach. Data were collected from various credible sources such as journals, books, books of turats, and others. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman framework which consists of three steps; 1) data display, 2) data reduction, and 3) conclusion. The results showed: 1) animals that have become carcasses are not 100% the same as the conditions when they were alive; 2) the phagocytosis process that plays a role in maintaining the leukocyte white blood cell system can stop in dead animals and eventually trigger the acceleration of the development of microbes in the body; 3) Microflora contained in carcasses include Salmonella, Campylobacter Jejuni, Listeria Monocytogenes and Escherichia Coli. These microbes are harmful to human health as they can cause diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, and other clinical infections such as meningitis.

Abstract

Auguste Comte's Positivism, a philosophical paradigm that originated in the early 19th century, has been widely discussed and debated among scholars in various fields. In recent years, this issue has gained increasing attention in the context of Islamic digital research. This paper aims to critically analyze Comte's Positivism and its impact on Islamic digital research. In Islamic digital research, Positivism has been criticized for its lack of cultural and historical context and its disregard for the role of ethics and values. This article illustrates how positivism's emphasis on empirical observation and data is compatible with the Islamic digital research paradigm. Given the vast data generated by digital technologies, the scientific method provides a convincing foundation for comprehending complicated phenomena in the digital world. Findings indicate that applying positivism as a research paradigm in digital research is beneficial. However, digital researchers are advised to be cautious of the weaknesses of the paradigm they would adopt for a study.

Research explores the impact of COVID-19 on banking has been carried out by previous researchers in the last two years. However, there are no researchers who specifically discuss about banking stability during the COVID-19 pandemic which is related to macroeconomic relaxation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research was to explore the macroeconomic influence on banking stability during COVID-19 in anticipation of a similar shock. This study uses Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method to describe macroeconomic factors as independent variables and control variables on the z-score as the dependent variable. The results of the study showing the GDP variable has a significant negative effect, while the BI Rate and Exchange Rate variables have a significant positive effect on the stability of Islamic banking during the COVID-19 pandemic. As well as inflation and JUB variables show insignificant results. This finding implies that macroeconomics has an influence on bank stability so when the macroeconomic have shock, the government is required to make right strategy, either in the form of comprehensive policies, to maintain bank stability. These findings established the Government has succeeded in adopting several policies that have proven effective in running the economy which have an impact on bank stability during COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This article addresses the development of education and technology in the 21st century society. In order for education to function efficiently, the need of moral/character education is a necessary step in preserving its survival. In this study, the researcher was interested in Ash Syarani's theory of moral education because of its relation to the findings of Thomas Lickona's theory (moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action) in education in the twenty-first century. This study utilized a literature review approach. Ash Syarani's Minahus Saniyah and Lickona's Teaching for Character: How Schools Can Teach Respect and Responsibility are the key data sources. While content analysis from Elo and Marsh was employed for data analysis in this study, The notion presented in Shaykh Abdul Wahhab Ash Syarani's book Minahus Saniyah is more applicable to Indonesian culture, particularly in studies that provide more real-world examples and are not confined to concepts (such as character education from Thomas Lickona's theory). The repercussions are fairly real that this analysis addresses the concept of moral education that is still relevant (in Thomas Lickona's theory; moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action) for implementation in Indonesian education in the twenty-first century.

Abstract

The Reformation era in Indonesia presents a political ecosystem that has an impact on the development of Nahdlatul Ulama Universities (PTNU). The development of PTNU is important to study so that there is a better understanding of the development of education in NU, which has long been known for its religious education model, both in the form of pesantren and madrasah. Specifically, this study aims to map the changes that have occurred in PTNU since the reform era in Indonesia. This study is a qualitative research using data collection including documents, interviews, and observations. This research found that there was an attempt to centralize management with the establishment of the Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institution by the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), a significant increase in the number of general study programs, and demographic changes on the PTNU campus so that it became more heterogeneous from a religious background. The conclusion of this research is that the reform era became an era of change in PTNU from the management of educational institutions on a local scale to a national scale, changes in the type of religious universities towards general universities, and changes in campus residents who were originally homogeneous to heterogeneous. The development and changing trends in PTNU are evidence of the appropriation process in PTNU which absorbs external values and is modified so that PTNU can grow and develop in line with the times.
