Abstract

Along with the development of science and technology, the use of ICT is also carried out in Biology learning. This ICT utilization can be in the form of eduflow-based learning media. This study aims to know validity of eduflow based learning media, understanding and media feasibility from student responses. The development model used was the Sugiyono development model with several stages in research and development. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire with descriptive quantitative data analysis. Before being mass-produced, validation of the feasibility of the media was carried out by the material experts with the percentage at 92% (very good) and learning media with the percentage 88% (very good). After revision, the media was tested in a small group of 16 students of the 10th science grade. The result of the analysis showed that the eduflow-based learning media is classified as very good so this media is suitable for use in the Biology Spermatophyta material.

Abstract

Knowledge transfer is not easy especially for mathematics. Various factors need to be considered and think about how to transfer the knowledge effectively. The traditional teaching method does not help students to achieve deep learning and to solve this problem, there is a need to new learning method. The 6-questions cognitive model is a new learning model that is developed in China in 2012. This model can stand on its own or be combined with technology-based learning media. This research aims to introduce the 6-questions cognitive model by using a qualitative method. Researchers did literature research to know the deeper meaning of the 6-questions cognitive model. The result of this research shows that the cognitive model can help students to achieve deep learning and it can also be combined with a technology-based learning media. Teachers can use this research result to teach mathematics in school. Future research can find out about the effect of 6-questions cognitive model on the students' high order thinking skill.

Abstract

This study is a specified inspection of the development of the chemistry educational sources. The purposes of this study are: (1) to develop a book “English for Chemistry”, (2) to assess the quality of the book based on appraisement of lecturers and students. The type of the research is  R & D. There many stages carried out in this investigation developed by Borg & Gall. The instrument used to assess the quality of this book is a set of quality having some aspects and criteria. The evaluations included 6 aspects with 33 criteria for lecturers and 4 aspects with 25 criteria for students.  The evaluation result is in qualitative data and then the result is analyzed by the ideal evaluation criteria category guide to determine the quality of the book. Based on lecturers’ assessments, the book has a good quality, going to the score of 116 out of 165 and ideal percentage 70.3%. Meanwhile, in students’ side, the book is also classified as a good quality, whose score is 103 out of 125 and ideal percentage 82.4%. Development english for chemistry book, helping student understand scientific words of chemistry in english.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the obstacles experienced by students during limited face-to-face learning. By making class VII-8 at Junior High School 27 Medan as a research sample, it will analyze what obstacles are experienced by students. Research method used is descriptive quantitative method. The study used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire that would be given to students directly and provided four answer choices based on a Likert scale and structured interviews. The results of the study, it was found that students experienced problems in implementing limited face-to-face learning in the four aspects, namely in the aspects of facilities and infrastructure to support learning was obtained in the fairly good category, the classroom management aspect obtained the good category, the aspect of student activity get the unfavorable category, the aspect of student understanding gets the poor category, and the aspect of student concentration in doing learning gets a poor category. For this reason, good management is still needed in overcoming several obstacles in the limited face-to-face learning process, all parties, both principals, teachers, students and other school residents must participate in overcoming the obstacles that arise.

Abstract

Solubility equilibrium is a basic material of chemistry that involve an abstract concept. The visualization of abstract concept can be presented using the electronic media in the form of pictures, videos, and animations. The guided inquiry is one of the right strategies to teach about solubility equilibrium. The purpose of this research was to develop, determine the validity and the eligibility of the guided inquiry-based solubility equilibrium e-module. This research used Borg and Gall’s development model with 5 stages, which were the product analysis, the initial product development, the expert validation and revision, the field trial, the trial result analysis, and the product revision. The product validity has a very valid criteria in terms of the material, media, and language expert assessment with the average percentages were 96,11%, 83,18%, 90,61%. The students’ response to the product showed that the product was very proper to used in the learning based on the average percentage of 90,61%. That meant the developed guided inquiry-based solubility equilibrium e-module could be one of the teaching materials for basic chemistry course.
