Abstract

This research aims to reveal the management of KKN conducted by the KKN Center of State University of Surabaya during the covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using qualitative approach with the type of research used is a case study. Data retrieval is conducted through interviews, observations, and document studies. This research shows that KKN activities conducted are regional-based KKN activities with 1) student kkn and DPL regional placement planning tailored to the student's residential area when KKN is conducted, as well as KKN activities directed to help the community in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and solving problems that occurred during the Covid-19 Pandemic; 2) KKN activities are carried out with attention to health protocols, by implementing 5 forms of programs; and 3) evaluation of KKN activities is conducted through monitoring and evaluation with kkn center to determine the follow-up of KKN in the future. The entire management process of regional-based KKN is carried out by implementing health protocols.

Abstract

This research focuses on the facts and theories of organizational culture which include: 1) the formation of Salaf culture in modern Islamic boarding schools and 2) the maintenance of Salaf culture in the Modern Islamic boarding schools. This is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach in the Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Islamic boarding school, Sukorejo, Situbondo. The results showed that organizational culture was formed by the founder's philosophy with the founder's education background and sourced from the salaf books known as four (4) elementary books. The maintenance of the organizational culture is manifested in the activities of the boarding school which include 1) Diniyah school obligations for all students; 2) Establishment of religious-based higher education institutions for mahasantri (Ma'had Aly organization); 3) Obligation to read the yellow book (kitab kuning) and the Koran properly for every student; 4) Obligation to pass basic Madrasah Diniyah; 5) Study of books at various places and times; 6) Wetonan, bandongan and Sorogan methods; 7) Method of muhafadloh or memorization; 8) curriculum system; and, 9) clothing and uniforms.

Abstract

The Islamic Educational Management program in IAIN Kediri was established in 2018 so that it requires proper planning to maintain the quality of the study program education. One of the planning steps is to maintain the ratio of the students and the lecturers by projecting the needs for lecturers. The method used in this research model is quantitative methods with the projection method, namely the growth rate and the input output, the parameter numbers used are the input rate and the graduate number, the assumption in this research is target so that the total of students can increase every year. The basic data used is the total of graduates, the total of new students and the total of lecturers. This research results in the number of needs for lecturers in the future. The results of this research reveal that in 2027, the number of lecturers needed for institutional courses will be 16 lecturers, while the number of lecturers for study program courses will increase to 25 lecturers. In 2028, the number of lecturers needed for institutional courses will increase to 18 lecturers, while the number of lecturers for study program courses will be 28 lecturers. Eventually in 2029 the number of lecturers in institutional courses will increase to 20 lecturers, while the number of lecturers needed for study program courses is 30 lecturers.

Abstract

One of the keys to the success of learning is good management. During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers need managerial skills for the learning process to take place. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of learning arts and culture to improve student achievement during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study employed the qualitative approach to research. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the learning management that teachers need to do in Art and Culture is due to the characteristics, creation, communication, motivation, learning strategies, and discipline. The recommendations of this research can be used by teachers in developing culture and art learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, teachers will be able to provide learning to students, and students can attain improved skills and good learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership role of school principals in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenology. The research site at SD Negeri Krapyak Wetan. The data collection technique is done through interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis was carried out through data collection, data reduction and ending with drawing conclusions. The results showed that; the role of the principal's leadership in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, is; a) Optimizing learning and deliberations with teachers, b) Providing education and training on online learning platforms (online), c) Providing appreciation and motivation to teachers, students and guardians of students, d) Conducting multidirectional coordination and communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of school management to improve students' English literacy at SMP Islam Al Abidin Surakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. The process of seeking and finding information related to English literacy improvement management is carried out through the 5W + 1H process. The study results showed that the implemented school management consisted of steps that supported English literacy starting from planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating activities. 1) The planning steps is related to determining goals, objectives, designing literacy activity programs, 2) organizing the resource, 3) implementing related to English literacy is through the following programs: (a) English Development Program, such as: English Camp, English Festival, Saturday Performance, Every day is English day, and Five Minutes Presentation (b) Literacy Programs, such as: Reading, Listening, Speaking Time and 4) controlling of implementing English literacy.

Abstract

The study describes and analyzes the use of corporate marketing communication strategies towards Higher Education at the international level. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with the research site at IAIN Tulungagung. The research subjects are members of the academic community, teaching staff, education staff and stakeholders. The research period was for the 2018/2019 academic year. The results showed that the typology of the marketing or promotion model used collaboration between internal parties (academics, stakeholders) and external parties (institutions, channel partners, media, government, industrial bodies and institutions, the educational community and the general public). Its implementation uses corporate advertising, sponsorship, sales presentations, online activities, branding, corporate advertising, press releases, press conferences, events, and awards. The study implications deal with the increase in: (1) Higher Education Identity, Image, Reputation; (2) Higher Education Social Responsibility (CSR); (3) media relation effectiveness; (4) more efficient marketing communications; (5) the more intensive Internal Communication System; (6) investor relation improvement; (7) conducive relations with the Government, and (8) the reliability in overcoming crisis communication. These have an impact on improving the quality of IAIN Tulungagung toward the level of International Higher Education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the opportunity for PTKIN to reach World Class University using criteria, especially at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The quality of an educational institution needs to be continuously improved (continuous improvement) to increase competitiveness. The research used a qualitative approach to the type of case study. Data collection techniques were carried out through; observation, interview and documentation. Furthermore, the research data is presented in a descriptive narrative form. The results of the study show that the accreditation is A (the highest score), but if it is measured or assessed by international standards EdPEx may only get a score in the interval 476 - 575, so that internationally it is categorized as a Good Performance University, yet it has NOT reached the World Class University. Improved by using a new standard to reach a world class university, Malcolm Baldrige is an international standard quality audit that is ready to fight the changing times. Malcolm Baldrige developed a flexible and creative approach in line with the needs of organization, especially the State Islamic Religious College.

Abstract

The formation of children's independent character is one of the goals of education that is wanted to be realized in the educational process, both in formal, non-formal and informal educational institutions. This study aims to explain controlling the Muhammadiyah Lhokseumawe Orphanage in forming the independent character of foster children. This research is a qualitative research using a phenomenological approach. The results showed that controlling the Muhammadiyah Lhokseumawe Orphanage in forming an independent character included controlling the Chair of the Caregivers which consisted of the Caregiver's personality and materials or learning methods with two approaches, namely direct confirmation of Caregiver and foster children in formal and non-formal situations. Caregiver Controlling of Foster Children which consists of cognitive aspects, namely the ability to understand and master learning material, affective aspects, namely changes in the behavior of foster children in their daily life, and psychomotor aspects, namely the ability of foster children to develop skills or talents.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in the 2019/2020 year. This study employed a qualitative approach to research. In collecting data, this study used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques, while the data validation was a triangulation of data sources and theories. This study's data analysis applied a CIPP Stufflebeam analysis. The results showed that (1) evaluating the AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model can be stated quite well in planning, organization, and implementation. The evaluation results on the supervision aspect of AIK learning program within the Baitul Arqam model can be unfavorable. Supervision was carried out only when students follow Baitul Arqam. Maintenance carried out after following the AIK learning with the Baitul Arqam model was not held. (2) The challenges faced by the AIK learning program with the Baitul Arqam model included: (a) the need for strategic planning, (b) qualified educators based on the standards, (c) a campus environment, and (d) an integrated supervision model.
