This study aims to describe the form, function and meaning of oral literary sayings that exist in the people of Dusun Bangko in Jambi Province. Theories used in this study are oral traditions, functions of oral traditions, oral literature, and folklore. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaire research questions. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, presenting data, and conclusions. Based on data obtained in the field, the forms of oral traditions that developed in Dusun Bangko are petatah petitih, seloko and rhymes. All three oral traditions were once developed. However, at this time the Seloko has begun to be rarely used. While rhymes and petatah petitih very much used by the community. The function of oral tradition is as a reference for oneself and society so that it does not deviate from ethics, morals, and religion. Another goal is to cultivate human morals be better in order to give meaning to life. Furthermore, as a guide for a better way of life future. The meaning of oral traditions that develop in the community is very much. For example the meaning when doing immoral acts is different from stealing and the delivery method is also different. His sayings lead to destruction if life is not in accordance with the demands of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad SAW.

The purpose of this study is to conduct a needs analysis for the development and compilation of e- modules. The e- module was prepared to facilitate training in order to improve the competency of informatics engineering teachers in West Sumatra. The development of e- module is using the model ploom and nieveen . The development procedure consists of 3 stages , namely 1) preliminary Research 2) prototyping stage and 3) assessment phase. Research carried out in the period 6 months , to perform the analysis of the needs in some of SMK Negeri Sumatra west who have majors engineering informatics and designing e- module training . Subject of research is the teacher engineering informatics SMK Negeri that exist in West Sumatra. Analysis of the data is done by descriptive with the method of the survey . From the results of the analysis obtained that . From the results of the analysis obtained that Master requires a time that is free to carry out training so as not interfere with the process of learning to teach . Second of all teachers in need of training in the field of competence of each , such as in the field of engineering of computer networks , teachers require training on connecting cable fiber optics , build networks , administer the network and use mirotik and Cisco. Teachers also need the latest developments from the 2013 curriculum , namely materials , modules and teaching materials.

This research aims to develop weblog-based learning media on information and communication technology (ICT) guidance and reveal its validity and practicality. This type of research is a research development with a 4-D (Four D) model , namely Define, Design, Develop , and Disseminate . The instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire of validity and practicality. weblog based learning media on information and communication technology guidance is validated by 2 experts, namely 1 material expert and 1 media expert . Practicality weblog-based learning media on information and communication technology guidance is carried out on teachers and students of SM A N 1 Tujuh Koto Sungai Sarik . The results of the validity test show that weblog-based learning media on information and communication technology guidance is included in the valid category. Based on practicality test by the teacher and students of SM A N 1 Tujuh Koto Sungai Sarik shows that the media has a very high practicality category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the weblog-based learning media on information and communication technology guidance is considered valid and practical .

This research aims to explain the contribution of the readiness of student work Field Industrial practice Vocational High School 1 West Sumatra engineering expertise machining program. The method used is descriptive moetode Ex-post facto or also called measurement after the incident. Subjects in the study were 86iperson who is a student of VHS 1 West Sumatra engineering expertise machining program. Data collection researchers did use a questionnaire that was distributed to the students. Field Industrial practice experience vocational students contributedi32.5% of the students' work readiness. The conclusion of this is the implementation Field Industrial practice peneltiian students of VHS 1 West Sumatra engineering expertise machining program included in both categories, and for job readiness 1 West Sumatra vocational students in the high category. This means that research subjects are students of VHS 1 West Sumatra engineering expertise machining program has a good level of job readiness

This article aims to describe the shape and meaning of symbols on the delivery of Jamba Badagang in a wedding party ceremony. The approach used to parse the results of this research were the approach of art, culture, semiotics and aesthetics. The research method used descriptive qualitative. Data collection done by Observation (documentation) and Interview (Interview). Data analysis techniques used Miles and Huberman data analysis models, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the tradition of the Hantaran Jamba Badagang was a symbol of interaction, communication, and social value. This tradition also contains the meaning of unity between communities and educational values. Furthermore, the Jamba Badagang tradition continues to be preserve and develope into the cultural heritage of the Kambang nagari community.

An effective teacher has to be able to create a good communication between the teacher and the students. It can be seen from teachers behaviour include verbal and non verbal behaviours. In teaching context, teachers convey interaction in the classroom to contribute to interpersonal attraction through teachers’ verbal and nonverbal behaviours. This research study explored the teachers’ behavior in English classroom interaction. This research design is a qualitative research. Participants were two teachers at English School Indonesia, who taught in two intermediate levels. One teacher was represented for each classroom. The instruments used to collect the data was observation and interview. During the observation, each teacher was observed using video recording. And then the teachers were interviewed to strengthen the result of observation. The research found that both teachers who teach intermediate levels had effective behaviors during the English classroom interaction. The students were motivated to learn English

This research has attempted to describe the ability of the third year English students` ability of FKIP Bung Hatta University to write a cause and effect essay. The design of this research was descriptive. The numbers of population of this research were 122 students. The writer used cluster random sampling technique to determine the sample since the students were separated into four classes (A, B, C, and D). The writer chose one class as a sample of this research. Class B was decided to be the sample of this research. The numbers of this class were 20 students. The writer used writing essay test to collect data. Generally, the result of data analyzing the data showed that the ability of FKIP Bung Hatta University of the third year English students to write a cause and effect essay was moderate. It could be seen that 20% students had high ability, 70% had moderate ability, and 10% had low ability. Finally, based on the result above, the writer suggests the teachers to give more knowledge, explanation, practice in order to help students to improve their ability to write cause and effect essay. And students should do a lot of practices in order to improve their ability to write cause and effect essay.

This research is motivated by students who have low reading ability. This study studied to study the differences in the results of intensive reading learning using Think-pair-share learning methods and Inquiry learning methods regarding learning motivation of VIII grade students of SMPN 05 Linggo Sari Baganti. This type of research is quantitative with a 2X2 factorial design. The results of the study are as follows. First, the value of intensive reading skills that use the Inquiry method is higher than the value of students who use the Think-Pair-Share method. Second, the value of students' intensive reading skills with high learning motivation using the Inquiry method is better than the value of students using the Think-Pair-Share method. Third, the value of students' reading ability that increases using the Inquiry learning method is better than the value of students who use Think-Pair-Share method. Fourth, there was no interaction between the Think-Pair-Share method and the Inquiry method with the motivation to learn about the reading skills of Grade VIII students of SMPN 05 Linggo Sari Baganti.

The research objective is to determine the competencies needed by productive teachers to draw with software so that graduates have the competencies desired by the business world and the industrial world. Descriptive qualitative research methods. The data in this research are descriptive narrative. Data sources from interviews, observations and documentation. The resource persons consisted of planning and supervision consulting firms, lecturers majoring in building engineering education at Padang State University and teachers teaching drawing with software at SMK N1 Padang and at SMK N1 SUMBAR. Data collection techniques with interactive and non-interactive. Data analysis techniques using qualitative techniques. Data validity is done by Source Triangulation. The results of the analysis: The teacher must master the science of drawing, cost estimation, time, quality and K3. The teacher must motivate and explain to graduates drawing with software how the work environment work environment. The teacher must teach good communication ethics and soft skills. The teacher must follow the development of software and also master its use. Teachers must be able to use IT to add references and self-development.

This research is backed by the problem of frequent misunderstandings between students and teachers. The misunderstanding occurs because students are less able to understand the intent and purpose that the teacher delivered. The purpose and objectives of the teacher cannot be well received by the students because of the form and strategy used by the teacher less according to the situation and condition when said. This research was conducted to explain the follow-up and strategy to speak Indonesian teachers in the learning process in SMP Negeri 2 Kinali. This type of research is a qualitative study with a descriptive method. Data collection is conducted through observation and recording of two Indonesian teachers who teach in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kinali. The research Data is analyzed qualitatively based on the speech theory. The results of this study are as follows. First, the type of follow-up directive found was (1) to ask, (2) to have, (3) Beg, and (4) advise. The Act of Directive, which is dominant by Indonesian teachers, is that the teacher and the least used by the teachers is a follow-up directive. Secondly, the said strategy used to realize the follow-up directive in the learning process in class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kinali is (1) The strategy is frankly without further ado, (2) The strategy is frankly with positive civility, (3) The strategy is straightforward with a negative silence, and (4) a vague strategy. The strategy says frankly without the dominant unpleasantness teachers used in the learning process on the kind of follow-up said.
