Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the feasibility of developing Quizizz learning media in social studies subjects at Tahfidz Madani Pasir Pengaraian Middle School. Besides that, this research will also produce learning media that have been tested for their feasibility level through validation by material experts, media expert validation, and validation learning experts and tested on 32 students in the school. This research is included in Research and Development (R&D) development research, namely research to develop learning media that will produce a product. The data analysis technique used is descriptive, which will be used to determine the feasibility of learning media. The data collected is in the form of quantitative and qualitative data; the instrument in this study is a Likert scale questionnaire; and the development design that will be carried out in this study is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE), which has five stages. Based on the results of media development, it was found that the results of the validation of material experts obtained an eligibility percentage of 85%, the eligibility percentage of media expert validation was 90%, validation from learning experts obtained an eligibility percentage of 82.8%, and finally, after being tested on students, a percentage of 90.18%. Based on the validation results of material and media experts, learning experts, and the results of trials on students, it can be concluded that Quizlet learning media is very suitable for use as social studies learning media.

Abstract

To create an effective learning atmosphere in the classroom, teachers need to use various types of media. One of the media that can be used in geography learning is learning by using Kahoot. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Kahoot application as a geography learning medium. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). This study uses the ADDIE development research model, with the following development stages Analysis; Design; Development; Implementation; and Evaluation. The results of validation by material experts with an average percentage of 87% with very decent criteria. Media expert validation results with an average percentage of 85% with very decent criteria. The results of the small group trials of students with an average of 84% with very decent criteria. The results of large group trials on students with an average of 84%. So it can be concluded that the development of Kahoot-based geography learning media is feasible to use in geography learning.

Abstract

Students participate in the Teaching and Learning Process (TLP) passively, resulting in a lack of development of their creative power in learning. The learning process that occurs in the classroom becomes meaningless. Even though learning will be more meaningful if students experience what they learn, not just know it, educators try to make what students learn at school useful in everyday life. The ability to think spatially is the ability to recognize space and is a strong focus in geography education. Students' ability to think spatially can help them understand the essence of geography material. The research method used in this research is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This research is part of the research on the development of a spatial thinking ability test instrument. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test at a significant level of 0.05, That is, there is no significant difference in student learning outcomes between the learning process using the Google Maps application learning media and the application Here We Go on improving spatial thinking skills at SHS 6 Pinggir. The results of these calculations show that the use of Google Maps and Here We Go application learning media in geography learning has a positive impact on improving spatial thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop geography learning media in the form of electronic student worksheets (E-LKPD) web-based live worksheets on Atmosphere material in class X.E.4 SHS 3 Painan. The method in this study uses research and development, namely the ADDIE development model with five stages including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The reason for using this development model is because it has a workflow related to the Research and Development (R&D) stage, but makes it easier and more systematic to create a more effective product. One of the causes of students having difficulty understanding the teaching and learning process is due to the unavailability of teaching materials/interactive learning media. This result illustrates that the increase in the initial to the final stage was 14.7% by the expert. The results of developed E-LKPD product obtained the results of a student response questionnaire from 28 students with a final result of 95% with the criteria of "very strong" then the product is declared practical. Web-Based E-LKPD. The Liveworksheet on Atmosphere Material can be used in the teaching and learning process in class and outside the classroom because it is easy to access anytime and anywhere as long as the internet network is active. With the development of E-LKPD learning media, it is hoped that it can be utilized by all parties in increasing interest, learning outcomes, and learning activities in schools.

Abstract

This article aims to understand the difficulties faced by educators in teaching social studies. In understanding these difficulties, this literature review explores relevant sources and analyzes existing findings. Some of the common difficulties identified include concept complexity, multidisciplinarity, and differences in students' backgrounds. In addition, this article also discusses some effective teaching strategies in overcoming these difficulties, such as problem-based approaches, use of technology, collaborative learning, and utilization of local resources. Through appropriate teaching strategies, educators can facilitate students' better understanding of social studies and help them develop critical thinking and a deep understanding of social, political and cultural dynamics. The knowledge gained from this literature review provides important insights for social studies educators in facing teaching challenges and improving the quality of learning. By deepening this understanding through further research, social studies educators can continuously improve their teaching practices and have a more positive impact on students' academic and social development.
