Abstract

The spread of Covid-19 to almost all countries in the world affects various aspects of human life. Through Circular Letter Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Education Policies in the Emergency Period of the Spread of Covid-19, the government decided to change the implementation of offline learning to online learning. XYZ University in Bandung City already has a Quality Assurance Division that is tasked with evaluating the use of information technology (IT) for the offline learning process, but it also needs an IT utilization evaluation instrument related to all aspects of online learning. This research aims to create an online learning evaluation system based on international standards by considering the quality aspects of the educational system, support system, learner quality, instructor quality, and information quality. PSSUQ method is used for 4 assessment categories with a 7-point Likert scale assessment of the technology usability concept. Meanwhile, the Naive Bayes method is used to analyse the polarity of comments related to the effectiveness of IT utilization in the online learning process. The results obtained from research on students of the Department of Information Systems class of 2018 and 2019, obtained 18 subcategories successfully exceeded the target with a score of 5.18. The ease to learn and ease to use subcategories have the highest average score of 6.30, while the previous experience subcategory has the lowest average score of 5.18. The ease to learn and ease to use subcategories have the highest average score of 6.30, while the previous experience subcategory has the lowest average score of 5.26. For processing the polarity of comments regarding the ease to use subcategory, a positive sentiment of 90.3% was obtained, visualized using a word cloud. The results of this study show that out of 24 subcategories of assessment aspects, only 1 is still below the average target and the utilization of IT in the online learning process meets its utilization objectives. The resulting evaluation instrument can be utilized as part of a sustainable quality assurance process.

Abstract

Software development focuses more on functionality so code quality is neglected. Design patterns can support faster development while supporting good code quality thus affecting long-term software maintenance. This research focuses on analyzing the effect of design patterns on software maintenance with open-source learning management system software in terms of design pattern characteristics. Five design patterns were applied and analyzed to assess the implementation method and design pattern characteristics. Testing is done using PHP Metrics. There are nine metrics to measure the complexity, size, cohesion, and dependability of each class. Overall, the design pattern had a good impact. Method templates and mediators have a good impact on cohesion, size, dependability, and complexity. Singletons increased the number of classes. Builders and strategies don't have much impact on size and complexity. Each design pattern generates a new class, so the complexity, dependencies, and size of the code are abstracted into that class.

Abstract

In this research, microstrip antenna design is carried out using the inset and slot methods. This research proposes a microstrip antenna with three working frequencies, namely 1.3 GHz for radar applications and 1.8 and 2.6 GHz for 4G LTE applications. To fulfill the proposal, the type of substrate used is FR4 with a value of 4.3 for ɛr and 1.6 millimeters for h. This research resulted in the initial design of a dual-band microstrip antenna that works at frequencies of 1.8 and 2.6 GHz for 4G LTE applications. Furthermore, the proposed T-slot and U-slot methods are added to generate a resonant frequency at 1.3 GHz for radar applications. The return loss results in the inset method are -20.76 dB at 1.79 GHz and -20.20 dB at 2.60 GHz. The addition of T-slot with fixed inset parameters results in -11.66 dB at 1.37 GHz, -17.31 dB at 1.95 GHz, and -20.56 dB at 2.59 GHz, then the addition of inverted U-slot results in -33.49 dB at 1.30 GHz, -22.13 dB at 1.80 GHz and -21.36 dB at 2.59 GHz. The simulation results obtained bandwidth of the working frequency at the third iteration are 1.04%, 2.22% and 1.18%. This research is simulated and designed with Simulator software. This research can be recommended as a radar and LTE communication system.

Abstract

Abstract

In conducting research, there are often obstacles to supporting media to support the observations and experiments under study. Especially in the case of research involving photos, not a few quality problems that use cameras show results that are not ideal, such as dimness, disturbing-colored dots, or other disturbances. In line with the rapid development of technology today, these problems can be overcome by computer programming through the Opensource Computer Vision Library (OpenCV). OpenCV is a programming module that contains various features, one of which is improving image quality with super-resolution. In practice, photos that have low quality will be enhanced using the efficient subpixel convolutional neural network (ESPCN) model. The deep learning algorithm used is a convolutional neural network (CNN) to support the testing means. CNN works to obtain the percentage accuracy of the photos under study as a representation of the final test results. This test aims to improve the low quality of photos with the ESPCN model to compare the accuracy with the original photos. The test result is the application of ESPCN to low-quality photos. The test result is higher accuracy than the original photo with a difference of 1.2%. The original photo had an accuracy of 90.6%, while the enhanced photo had an accuracy of 91.8%. The final result shows that low-quality photos can be upscaled using ESPCN to produce better accuracy.

Abstract

Negative comments on international concert events can have a significant impact on the future conduct of such concerts. Possible impacts of negative comments include decreased interest from the audience, difficulty in gaining sponsorship and partner support, influence on decisions made by the artist or musical group, and safety considerations for the organizers, audience, and the artist or group. An analysis of negative comments on an international concert is necessary for an appropriate strategy to manage and mitigate negative impacts that may arise in the future. The benefits of analyzing the impact of negative comments on an international concert are diverse. The analysis can influence various aspects related to the implementation of the event and public perception. 72 negative comments have been classified using the linear regression method. Based on the results of the value of these negative comments, it can be stated that some of the words that trigger a comment to be considered as negative in the context of Coldplay concerts in Indonesia are words such as "rejection," "hadang," "nope," and "tolak." From the analysis conducted in this study, these words appear with significant frequency in the comments classified as negative.
