Abstract

Body Shop consists of the assembly production process area of sub items or components combined with car cabin manufactured mostly using the base material of metal plate by using electric welding resistance method or Spot Welding. Spot Welding can be done by using an electrode with another name CAP TIP (Electrode Tips), made of copper alloy run by a large electric current, in a relatively short time. The grafting material process generates spatter. The spatter spots are discovered on the cabin plane. This study aims to analyze the effect of CAP TIP (electrode tips) on the remaining spatter spot found on car cabin using ANOVA method. The survey data were obtained from 3 types of CAP TIP (PG 1712, PG 1431, PG 1777-50) of 10 types of CAP TIP used in the body shop area along with the amount of residual spatter produced. The results revealed variant similarity of the three types compared from the Levene statistic value of 1,563, with the average number of residual spatter most produced by CAP TIP PG 1712 as 47.17, while the F value of 0.914 with the significance of 0.443 indicating no significant CAP TIP type difference against the rest of the spatter, thus H0 is rejected. This proves that there is no effect of CAP TIP (electrode tips) on the remaining spatter spots. Keywords: Electrode tips, Welding spot, Spatter spot, ANOVA

Abstract

Today, instant noodles is a food substitute for the most frequently consumed by the public, because of the high activity and mobility of people, so that indirectly resulted in increased consumption of instant noodles that are considered the most feasible and practical in its presentation. Problem arise which serve as the topic by researchers are: How does the composition of boxes to stack remained robust without straps? And how do researcher cope with that palette which wont damaged when operated using a forklift. Data used in this study, through direct interviews, observation, sampling, and direct experiment. In determining the sampling researchers using simple random sampling method from the number of samples to be taken as many as 323 pallets in warehouses PT. XYZ branch Ancol. Researchers can conclude that the way the current composition of the pile is less sturdy boxes that require the use of straps as a drag on the top of the box so as not to swell and fall. Based on the results of the analysis and experiments, researchers found a more ideal arrangement sturdy box even without the rope. Perform modifications on forklift forks, as based on observation and analysis, researchers with a fork width of only 76 Cm forklifts, not balanced with measures that are currently used pallets (150 x 130 cm), so that the pallet tends to curl at the time appointed. Modifications can be done by adding the width of the forklift forks. Keywords: Material Handling, Warehouse, Boxes Arrangement

Abstract

Keywords: Product Platform, Production Competitiveness, Modularity Method
