Abstract

The company always tries to meet customer demands, so it must be able to provide good product quality. Quality control is always carried out by manufacturing companies for the creation of zero defects. Lever Assy Parking Brake is part of the cars spare parts produced by manufacturing company X and must have a zero defect product quality level. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of product defect using the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method. Data was carried out with process control procedures. This study showed that the product defect rate of Lever Assy Parking Brake with Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method in March 2018 was very large. As seen from the 22 data production processes, 13 production process data (59 percent) were out-of-control but still fell within the specification limit of 9 ± 0.5 mm. Meanwhile, only 9 data production processes (41 percent) were in control. So there is a need to analyze causes and corrective actions. R control chart shows the process that has been stable or under control has a UCL (Upper Control Limit) value of 0.21, the LCL (Lower Control Limit) value of 0 and a value of CL (central line) of 0.10. Whereas ????̅ chart shows the control limit with UCL value of 9.39, LCL value is 9.27 and CL value is 9.33.

Abstract

Data for land squares area and land volumes are strongly needed for private company neither is the government. Nowadays, the calculations of land squares are done manually, which need long and repetitive calculations. It is unfortunately risky for the researches. On the other side, none of the standard methods is used to calculate the volume of land burying. One of the alternatives when we intend to minimize the error of the calculation and measurement process is to integrate the step of calculation and measurement processes themselves. The underlined means to practice the automation on the recitation of several measurement output, and then the calculation of land squares, contour drawing, and land volumes can automatically be done. On the calculation of area squares, contour drawing, and land volumes, data of the measurements are put into calculation algorithm and are expected to be directly used in calculating the land squares, contour drawing, and land volumes, also automatically make the correction on the errors in order to minimize them. In this research, no hardware development is being developed. The author intended only to compose a calculation of algorithm to calculate land squares. Keywords: Land Squares, Algorithm, Integrate

Abstract

Nowadays so many of the problems faced by the products and services company where competition is getting tougher. The longer the running time is also a growing consumer desire both product and service specifications. When consumers want products with good quality industry players must further develop ways to optimize production costs ntuk maximum results. One method used is to increase employee productivity. Employee productivity is seen as one of the determining factors that will affect the output of the company's products or services. Basically, productivity can be seen from the amount of output produced in a given time period and calculate a percentage. Employees who have a fast output can be categorized not necessarily productive or otherwise. In this observation reports used method, wherein a Full-Time Equivalent calculation result will be a valid number that describes a specific period, which will be seen from this figure whether or not the employee is a productive enterprise and a reference to add, subtract, and corrects the job description and workflow that exist within the company. The observations can also find some of the findings of the field which is also a reference company to make improvements and changes to systems and facilities.Keywords: Full-Time Equivalent, Employee Productivity

Abstract

In general, the ratio of the ocean and land area on this earth is 70 to 30. Many potentials of water can be used to promote human well-being. Even today, many developed countries from all over the world are competing to advance their maritime activities and their auspices for the country's interests so that the role of the sea becomes dominant for developing of the countries. One of the most common marine activities people do is sea fishing. the marine and fisheries sector has enormous potential to become a national economist. In Indonesia, many people depend on the fisheries sector. So, in this research that will be discussed is to determine the model of the number of marine fish production in East Java Province with Box-Cox Transformation method on Multiple Linear Regression to get significant control variable on the amount of sea fish production in East Java Province. The result of regression using Box-Cox transform shows that some variables such as the number of fishermen, fishing equipment, and boat or fishing boat motor have a significant influence on R2 89.3%. With this model, it is hoped to be one strategy to increase the number of fishing through the selection of appropriate control variables.

Abstract

In this globalization era we are encouraged to do something with effectively and easily, because the time becomes an important thing in supporting the public activities. Companies should give a good service for customer without reducing its quality with an efficient cost consideration. Because of it the company should is obliged to reduce the queue so the queue will be more effective than before and will increas the customer satisfaction. This study uses a simulation analysis to determine the queue in actual system. This simulation requires primary and secondary data (observations) on every stall in car repair shop. The next step after we know the problem from the queue simulation is creating an improvement simulation to change the process in queue, and reducing or increasing the existing stall on the actual system. The result obtained from data processing and analysis, it was found some problems that happen in the real queue system such as full capacity on some stall. Stall that needed to be improve are Spooring Stall, External Service Stall, and Washing Stall. And then the next step is doing some improvement to change the process from SBEK and SBIK to Spooring Stall into Spooring Stall to SBEK and SBIK. The second improvement is adding SBE Stall and Spooring Stall by reducing 2 SBI Stall. The conclusion in this study are the increasing amount of the output, from first improvement it increases to 115 entities and from second improvement it increases to 143 entities. Then the total time of entities in the system decreased from 456.299,47 second into 310.597,57 second dan 359.925,65 second for each improvement. Keywords: Queue, Simulation, Operations research

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a disease that was only discovered in 2019 and has been reported to have spread to almost all over the world. This pandemic has caused anxiety and fear for all Indonesians because it can be transmitted easily through humans. This study aims to cluster each province in Indonesia into certain clusters so that they can find out the characteristics, movements, and government policies that must be carried out in each cluster. This study uses secondary data regarding COVID-19 cases in Indonesia, which reached 4800 data from March 1 to August 11, 2020, in 34 Indonesian provinces. The four variables used were the number of cases of death, the number of cured cases, the number of active cases, and the number of deaths per one million population. Cluster 1 has a high risk because it has the highest variable number of active cases and the number of deaths per one million population. Cluster 2 has a low risk because it has a variable with the highest number of cured cases and the lowest number of active cases. Cluster 3 has a moderate risk because it has the lowest number of cures variable and the moderate number of active cases. The government policy in cluster 1 should prioritize the variable number of active cases and the number of death cases per one million population, cluster 2 must prioritize the variable number of deaths, and cluster 3 must prioritize the variable number of active cases.

Abstract

Rietveld analysis is a means of revealing the detailed structure and composition of crystalline sample using x-ray powder diffraction data. This research presents the use of the Rietveld method using Rietica program to obtain the phase abundance of crystoballite crystal from rice husk sintered at 850oC, 950oC and 1100oC that has previously been demonstrated. The model parameters are refined by the methodof least squares until a good fit (2) to the observed data is obtained. The refined parameters in this study are background, scale factor, space groups, atom co-ordinates (U,V,W), preferred orientation, and the lattice parameters. The results showed that quantitative crystoballite crystal were 87.8, 89.8 and 98.4% weight, respectively. An acceptable result for estimation of lattice parameters and weightpercentage of crystoballite with reliability (2) was found to be < 4. The results also show that analysis by Rietveld method is efficient to control the quantity of crystoballite in the sintering process. Keywords: Rietveld, Rice Husk, X-Ray Diffraction

Abstract

In the chemical industry, especially the manufacture of the assorted colors pasta water base (Uniqua/UQ), visual pasta is very important because it can facilitate the mixing and prevent separation between the solvent and solute. To determine the level of viscosity or viscosity pastes used the color measuring instrument called viscometer. The viscometer is often used called Brookfield viscometer, which in this viscometer there is some speed rotary spindle. To standardize the spindle rotational speed to be used in testing UQ. Black QHS paste viscosity then conducted experimental research. In these experiments using ANOVA with one factor or one-way factor. This factor is the rotational speed of level 60, 30.12, 6 and 3 rpm. The result of these experiments is the spindle rotational speed affects the color paste viscosity test result. The results of these studies are the spindle rotational speed affects the color paste viscosity test results. Future studies may focus on testing the spindle rotational speed level best to get a good viscosity. Keywords: Viscosity, Viscometer, Experimental Research, ANOVA
