Abstract

This article discusses about the development of puppety recently (2008) which based on an observation, it tends to develop forwards entertaining form as commercial commodities. The problem will be analyzed with Raymon William theory about 3 cultural powers is one historical period. From the analysis, it can be found that pupperty art can influence society and on the contary, pakeliran can be influenced by any changes in society. Nowadays, wayang performance anticipates social changes.Mean while pakeliran also change along with the changer in society. Keyword : development, social culture, wayang

Abstract

Choir as a form of vocal music that uses human voice as its main media has a unique and interesting side of beauty, except for the beauty of melody, rhythm and harmony, the choir also delivers its message through the lyrics/verses that it sings has a sufficient number of enthusiasts many. The activities of singing or singing in groups, namely in the form of choirs in Indonesia in the last few years have shown remarkable progress both in terms of quantity and quality. Choir competitions held at national and international levels always invite high enthusiasm from choir activists or communities in Indonesia to participate. The choir competition held in the last few years, both national and international levels as mentioned above, uses a race classification system, which is based on music genres and certain times / periods of historical periods in western music. The use of the competition category system is accompanied by the rules of the organizer which usually gives freedom for each contestant to determine the song title and number of songs to be sung, so it does not require a particular song to be sung by each competitor.Along with the reality above and the increasingly competitive national level choir competition and the increasing enthusiasm of the Indonesian choir community to participate and excel at the international competition, the needs and availability of choir songs that have been arranged in good and interesting arrangements is believed will continue to increase. Writing with the title A to K of the single basic institution stage for sound alloy explains things that are fundamentally the main need for someone when they are interested in being able to master the way to make arrangements for the choir. Things that are described include: human voice coverage, voice range relationship with selection of basic scales or tones, understanding chords and their formation, chord types, chords in basic positions, I reversal and reversal II, Kadens, making harmonization, designing shapes composition, determining instrumentation, processing the elements of music, Based on the background of this, it is very necessary for an introduction to describe how to make arrangements for a choir song. The hope, with the increasing number of choir lovers who also have an interest in equipping themselves with developing their knowledge in terms of making arrangements for the choir, will in the future more and more management works be produced and certainly will enrich the literature of songs from the Spiritual category. secular, regional and pop songs for choir groups. This will also be beneficial for many choirs to maintain their existence in their musical activities.Keywords: sound, arrangement, single basic, A to K.

Abstract

The study is supposed to discuss about pakeliran ringkas and the concept of pakeliran padat asone alternative for the present as well as future forms of wayang performance. The discussionwill be started from the concept of pakeliran padat and its elements of garap that widely influencethe development of wayang performance previously. Pakeliran ringkas with the concept of pakeliranpadat represents a pakeliran that oriented to the duration of three until four hours by eliminatingsome scenes that are supposed unimportant and uses the concept of garap elements ofpakeliran padat namely harmonizing the media and the content equally. Pakeliran ringkas with theconcept of pakeliran padat avoid something that makes the content superficial. Pakeliran ringkaswith the concept of pakeliran padat as an offered alternative is interestingly packed by considering the essence of guidance as well as entertainment for the society.Keywords: alternative, Pakeliran Ringkas, concept of Pakeliran Padat.

Abstract

In responding to the cultural and traditional development in Palembang, the writer tries to analyzean interesting phenomena on wayang kulit performance in Palembang involving theater Dulmulukartists appointed by the dalang to take the roles of Semar, Gareng, and Petruk in lakon PrabuUkir gelung Negak Blabar Kawat. The research is analized by using the theories of dramaturgi,role, structure, and creativity. The data is collected by using descriptive analysis method. Thefinding shows that the performance gets a good respond from the audience because of thepresence of Semar, Gareng, and Petruk. Their presence in the performance has made achange to the performance structure and has given a good enthusiasm to the audience.Keywords: wayangkulit Palembang, Semar, Gareng, Petruk, role.

Abstract

This article studies about wayang story Srikandi Meguru Manah from perspective etchic side. This activities of main characters, Srikandi and Arjuna are analyzed to know about the contained morality. From the analyses it can be found that Srikandi who leaves the palace without her parents’ permission is considered to be unworthy. Their behavior is considered to be against the palace value even thought it is meant to save palace. Arjuna is also considered to have less ethic for he places Srikandi in a pleasure garden (taman) when he teaches her technique of shooting by bow and arrow. As a married knight, Arjuna shouldn’t do that. On the other hand, their parents don’t accuse them and they even married them off.Keyword : ethic, story, wayang.

Abstract

This article compares between th content of Dewarunci and Nawarunci. Both tell about Bhima’s in seeking knowledge of life perfection. Serat Dewarunci which is previously believed to be created by the Moslem saints (para wali) as syncretics teachings ( a unifications of Hinde-Jawa-Islam) is most probable a composition of Nawarunci written at the end of Majapahit era.Key words: Dewarunci and Nawarunci, comaprison

Abstract

This research focuses on the populist aesthetic features of the Gagrag puppet show Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito presentation Srenggini Takon Rama, reveals the problem of: (1) Who is form of gagrag puppet show Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito presentation Srenggini Takon Ramadan (2) Who is the aesthetic style of leather puppet shows gagrag Banyumas Cithut Purbocarito Srenggini play Takon Rama. Both of these problems are examined using the aesthetic concept of puppetry, namely the concept of nuksma and mungguh. In addition, to reveal the structure of Banyumas gagrag puppet show using the Banyumas Gagrag Pedalangan Pathokan ... The results of this study indicate that the achievement of nuksma can be seen from the success of mastermind in building a seding atmosphere, team, trenyuh, greget, sereng, gandrung, and prenes. Indeed, it can be indicated through the harmony of taste in catur, sabet, and karawitan dance which is presented in each scene. Aesthetic analysis through the elements of pakeliran, including sabet, catur, and karawitan pakeliran, conclusions can be drawn about the aesthetics of Banyumas gagrag puppetry, namely nyopak.Keywords: aesthetics, Puppet Show, Cithut Purbocarito, Srenggini Takon Rama,

Abstract

The meaning of krucil puppet show in the ceremony of puryfying village Manganan Janjang. Thepurpose of this study is to describe and to understand the meaning of krucil puppet show in aseries of Cleaning Village Manganan Janjang. The problems studied include: what the meaning ofa krucil puppet show in a series of purifying Village Manganan Janjang is? Research materials arecollected through library study, interview, and direct observation to the puppet show in a series ofpurifying Village Manganan Janjang with title Bedhah Medhayin at June 6, 2013, by Ki Lamto thepuppeteer. This study uses the analysis of the meaning by using descriptive interpretativemethod. The results showed that: The meaning of the show related to the meaning of title, andthe meaning of the symbol. Abstract

The title of this paper is “Elements of Puppet Show (Pakeliran) Yogyakarta Style in Nartosabdo’s Puppet Show”. Election of Nartosabdo’s pakeliran as an object of this paper is based on his popularity in the puppetry world that can affect later followed by young puppeteers. The issues discussed are: (1) Effect of pakeliran Yogyakarta style elements to the Nartosabdo’s pakeliran. (2) The causes Nartosabdo’s pakeliran influenced by the pakeliran Yogyakarta style. The rationale used was that the puppetry art is one of tradition art that is always changing all the time. The change is dependent on human beings. Nartosabdo is a creative puppeteer artist who also makes changes in his pakeliran, among which he included elements of pakeliran Yogyakarta style in his pakeliran. The method used is descriptive interpretative, while data collection techniques by literature study and listening to sound recordings.Key words: Pakeliran (puppet show), Nartosabdo, Yogyakarta
