Abstract

The Purwa Wayang Kulit Performing Friday Kliwonan program has been pioneered since 1984, beginning with the thought of the Central Java Cultural Park in Surakarta as an umbrella and protector of art that is expected to provide opportunities for the next generation of art. In general, puppeteers who appear present the arable story by referring to the plays that are commonly performed by previous puppeteers. The study results show, that in the era of 2004 to 2009 there were three scenes structure of wayang kulit performances last night, namely the structure of scenes that still refers to old patterns, the structure of scenes that refer to the work of solid engraving does not follow the pathet pattern, and the structure of scenes that are not referring to the reverse flow and not necessarily in sequence with the play. Keywords: Puppet show, Friday Kliwon, Taman Budaya, Surakarta.

Abstract

Wayang kulit is a Javanese culture that is still developing in the midst of the rapid development of information technology. The longlife existence of wayang shows that until now it is still an idol for its community, even there have been changes and developments from its conventional form. This article examines the changes and catur in wayang kulit performance, especially the janturan, the first scene in wayang kulit repertoire of some dalang that exist today. The results show that the development of janturan is still impersonal, the changes made by a few dalang are still individual.Keywords: development, poetry Janturan, wayang performance

Abstract

This study reveals the values and meanings implied in Wayang Golek Kebumen Lakon Wrahatkustur Ngraman by Sunarto Sindu. Lakon Wrahatkustur Ngraman tells about moral teachings for every human in relation to the God and social interaction. Javanese culture as the root of norms for Javanese people is used to be a reference to reveal the values reflected in the Lakon. The method used in data collection includes observation of material objects, interviews with competent interviewees, and literary studies. The results show that the performance of wayang golek Kebumen Wrahatkustur Ngraman reflects the values of community life that are closely related to the Javanese culture. Those values are reflected in Catur especially in the presented Gunem. Abstract

Prophetic art is art that contains prophetic and divine values synergizing universal values of humanity and divinity, namely truth, goodness, justice and beauty. Religious and social communities try to find ontological, epistemological and axiological values of prophetic arts. The prophetic value that was built by theater performance of realist script Pertja became the main study that presented awareness for the audience. It says that in order to live happily in the afterlife, then carry out God's commands and stay away from His prohibitions; do not make God angry so that life is not miserable as experienced by the characters of Rosa, Pupu, Selasih in Pertja performance. The values of truth, goodness and beauty that are carried by prophetic art can be seen in the content conveyed in Pertja's work which is able to bring darkness into light, namely truth for the sake of Allah SWT.Keywords: Art, prophetic, theater, Pertja script

Abstract

This article explains about musical theater as an interesting phenomenon in this millennial era. The meeting of the idealism of conveying the ideas of artists through works and the audience’s demands of entertainment needs to be studied. Phenomenology, a study in philosophy that studies humans as a phenomenon, is the approach used in this study. The purpose of this paper is to look for something behind the phenomenon of musical theater performances. It seems that musical theater artists and the audiences have not paid much attention to the qualified concept of music but tends to the vulgar and glamorous arts. essentially, music in the musical theater is not just an accompaniment but also to be an amplifier and stabilizer. Nevertheless, the presence of music also gives a beautiful touch for more interesting and entertaining appearance. Keywords: musical theater, music, phenomenology

Abstract

The treatment of Gamelan needs to be handled well. A wrong treatment has a potential threat and shortens the use of an instrument. The purpose of this paper is to identify the treatments of art instrumentation in educational laboratories. The goal is achieved by using the concept of maintenance, namely planned maintenance and unplanned maintenance. Based on that concept, the results show, generally, that gamelan treatment is divided into two parts, namely managerial aspects and practical aspects of instrument maintenance. Maintenance also concerns the problem of storing instruments. It is to anticipate damage as early as possible so as to increase the efficiency and duration of the gamelan. A good Gamelan maintenance prevents damage to the musical instruments that will extend the life of the instrument, and ensure the comfortable and safety use.Keywords: maintenance, gamelan, performance, laboratory, art education

Abstract

Lakon Gugurnya Raja Astina is also called Rubuhan, which belongs to the Baratayuda series. There were no more reliable Astina. On the eighteenth day of Baratayuda, for the reason, King Duryudana in dealing with the Pandava enemy was led by himself without Kurawa soldiers. On the eighteenth day, it was the last day of Baratayuda War. Senopati Kurawa was the only one, Prabu Duryudana, in a battle against Werkudara. In the war of gada, Prabu Duryudana was forced so he fled to plunge into the sea. Duryudana met Batara Baruna. Batara Baruna gave him Gada Kyai Inten. It cannot be used to fight on the land. Gada Kyai Inten will get smaller when it collids Gada Rujak Polo. The war is witnessed by Baladewa and Kresna. Duryudana was beaten with Gada Rujak Polo by Werkudara and finally, Duryudana died on the battlefield. Keywords: the king of Astina, baratayuda, rubuhan

Abstract

The research entitled " Estetika Pertunjukan Wayang Kulit Lakon Tripama Kawedhar Sajian Cahyo Kuntadi" aims to reveal the aesthetic elements and their implementation in wayang kulit performance Lakon Tripama Kawedhar presented by Cahyo Kuntadi. This problem is studied using the aesthetic thought by Sunardi and Najawirangka. The analysis of this research is descriptive qualitative using data collection techniques through the literature study, observation, and interviews. The results show that, firstly, the aesthetic elements of the wayang performance, Tripama Kawedhar, can be observed through lakon, sabet, catur, and karawitan pakeliran. Secondly, the achievement of the aesthetic concept of puppetry is manifested through the success of the puppeteer in building an atmosphere of impressive scene of feeling regu , greget, nges, sem, renggep, antawacana, lucu, unggah-ungguh, tutuk and trampil. Cahyo Kuntadi succeeded in performing Lakon Tripama Kawedhar aesthetically.

Abstract

In the world of puppetry, lakon Karna Gugur contains moral teachings with values that can be seen through the characters of Basukarna and Duryudana in defending the Astina State. This study aims to explain Karna's character in his efforts to win goodness. Structural analysis is used to achieve this goal. Karna as a symbol of virtue can be understood through the lakon Karna Gugur in the Baratayuda series. From the moral aspect, the characters of Basukarna and Duryudana represent the transformations of good and evil. The good done by Karna is a sign of his service to Astina's country, while the evil is symbolized by Duryudana with the attitude of defending the country to the end.

Abstract

Currently there is a flourishing art creations that is influenced by the concept and / or theory of art for art (L'art pour L'art), which tends to show value-free art creations, which tend to emphasize ethical, aesthetic, and truth values. The prophetic mission of religion is a prophetic movement through theology which becomes a revolutionary ideology, which always brings about changes in civilization. Here the prophetic ethics movement in religions becomes grounded to be a social implementation including art. This article tries to think about the concept of prophetic art that will give more beneficial and clear goals of the arts, namely to remain in synergy with the interests of ethics, aesthetics and truth. This study uses a Heuristic analysis approach with the literature method. The conclusion tells that prophetic art is a positive concept for the development of artistic paradigms which are proven to be necessary to develop as a concept of purpose and the value of art. Prophetic art in Islamic teachings is something important to be an offering for creative method of sharing. Islamic and prophetic art will make people's lives more beautiful in the prescribed Islamic law.
