Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates whether brand awareness shapes patient loyalty through the mediating roles of patient satisfaction and patient engagement, and whether this mechanism differs between BPJS (national health insurance) and non-BPJS patients of a private hospital network in Bali, Indonesia. The study draws on Expectation-Confirmation Theory (ECT) to explain how cognitive and relational pathways translate brand recognition into long-term loyalty.Design/Methodology/Approarch: A quantitative comparative survey was conducted among 150 patients of RS. Kasih Ibu Bali (75 BPJS and 75 non-BPJS), selected through purposive sampling across four hospital branches. Data were collected with a validated 24-item, five-point Likert questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 4, followed by Measurement Invariance of Composite Models (MICOM) and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) using Henseler's nonparametric test and permutation procedures.Findings: For BPJS patients, brand awareness directly and strongly predicted loyalty, while satisfaction and engagement played no significant role. For non-BPJS patients, the opposite pattern emerged: brand awareness had no direct effect on loyalty, whereas satisfaction and engagement were the dominant drivers. Satisfaction mediated the brand awareness-loyalty link significantly only among non-BPJS patients, while serial mediation through satisfaction and engagement together was not supported in either group. These results indicate that patient loyalty in a two-tier healthcare financing context follows two structurally distinct psychological routes: a brand-driven route for BPJS patients and an experience-driven for non-BPJS patients. Practical implications for differentiated hospital marketing and service-quality strategies are discussed.

Abstract

Purpose: Employee performance is a critical factor in determining organizational success, particularly in the public sector. However, challenges such as low work discipline, inadequate office facilities, and less conducive work environments are still prevalent. In addition, inconsistencies in previous studies regarding the dominant factors influencing employee performance highlight the need for further empirical investigation. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of work discipline, office facilities, and work environment on employee performance and to identify the most dominant factor.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The study involved 125 employees as respondents, who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the effects of discipline, office facilities, and work environment on employee performance.Findings: The results indicate that work discipline, office facilities, and work environment positively and significantly influence employee performance. Among these variables, work discipline exerts the strongest effect, followed by the work environment and office facilities. These findings demonstrate that both internal and external organizational factors shape employee performance. Therefore, strengthening employee discipline, improving workplace facilities, and fostering a supportive work environment are essential strategies for enhancing organizational performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effect of work–life balance (WLB) on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in the public-sector context of the Majene Regency Local Government, IndonesiaDesign/Methodology/Approach: Although previous studies have linked Work-Life Balance (WLB) to performance, the existing evidence mostly comes from the private sector, while local government settings are still underexplored. A quantitative survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 90 local government employees selected through stratified probability sampling. The data were analyzed using the measurement model (outer model) in SmartPLS version 3.Findings: The results show that WLB had no significant effect on either job satisfaction or employee performance, whereas job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Because the conditions for mediation were not met, job satisfaction did not mediate the WLB performance relationship. These findings indicate that, in a bureaucratic public-sector environment, the expected benefits of WLB may weaken, while job satisfaction remains a robust predictor of performance.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image and service quality on new motorcycle purchase decisions, with promotional programs serving as a mediating variable at PT WOM Finance Palu Branch. The study is motivated by fluctuations in new motorcycle financing demand, indicating that consumers' purchase decisions are influenced not only by economic considerations but also by marketing factors, including brand image, service quality, and promotional programs.Design/Methodology/Approach: This study employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design. Data were collected through a survey of 75 consumers selected using proportional sampling. The research instrument consisted of a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables.Findings: The results indicate that brand image, service quality, and promotional programs have positive and significant effects on purchase decisions. Brand image and service quality also have positive and significant effects on promotional programs. Furthermore, promotional programs significantly mediate the relationship between brand image and purchase decisions, as well as between service quality and purchase decisions. These findings demonstrate that integrating a strong brand image, excellent service quality, and effective promotional strategies plays a crucial role in enhancing consumers' purchase decisions for new motorcycle financing.
