Abstract

Sustainable tourism is a concept that is aspired to be realized in the tourism industry so that natural and cultural resources can be preserved and enjoyed for generations to come. This research explores a variety of tourist attractions based on local wisdom values as an effort to create sustainable tourism. Kampung Banceuy is one of the traditional villages that has various values of local wisdom which is still preserved today and is able to attract many tourists. The method used in this research is an explorative qualitative approach. The data collection technique is done by direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out in an interactive way and continued until completion, so that the data was saturated. The informants in this study were 9 people consisting of traditional leaders, communities, tourism managers, and tourists. The results showed that the value of local wisdom that can be a tourist attraction is village celebration events, cultural festivals, natural tourist attractions, and community life that has educational value. These various tourist attractions are not only oriented towards economic benefits but also act as a medium for the conservation of noble socio-cultural and environmental values as well as having educational value for tourists through the experience of tourism activities. The practice of the value of local wisdom that is still maintained is expected to always be passed on to the younger generation and can be of benefit to many parties, therefore this tourism activity always requires support from various parties.

Commission of Supervisor I: Dr. I Gede Riana, SE., MM, Commission of Supervisor II: Dr. Augusto Da C. Soares, SE., MM. This study aims to analysis (1) influence of the work environment on employee performance, (2) influence of the work environment on employee involvement, (3) influence of teamwork on employee performance, (4) influence of teamwork on employee involvement, (5) the effect of employee involvement on employees performance, (6) the role of employee involvement mediates the working environment relationship on employee performance, (7) the role of employee involvement mediates teamwork relationship to employee performance. The population in this study was 680 of all MAP employees at the Dili, the sample using the slovin formula so as to get 156. Data were analyzed using the Smart-PLS The research findings the work environment, teamwork, influence positive not significantly to employee performance. This research shows that work environment, teamwork is not able to improve employee performance. The effect of work involvement on employee performance found that involvement had a positive significant effect on employee performance. The role of employee involvement mediates the working environment relationship, teamwork is full mediation. Keywords: Work Environment, Teamwork, Employee Engagement, Employee Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The influence of motivation on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of employees of the Entrepreneurship Training Agency, Dili, Timor-Leste. (2) The Effect of Organizational Commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Employees of the Entrepreneurship Training Agency, Dili Timor-Leste. (3) The Effect of Job Satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior of Employees of the Entrepreneurship Training Agency, Dili, Timor-Leste. The population in this study amounted to 33 employees who work at the Head Office of the Entrepreneurship Training Agency, Dili, Timor-Leste by determining the saturated sample of the sample with the highest to lowest respondent rates. The findings of this study are to obtain the highest average value is 42.4%. Then the lowest value obtained a value of 0.001%. Keywords: Motivation, Organizational Commitment, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).

Abstract

This research aims to generate a Master plan of fisheries-based SME development concept in Bali region, in order to build Bali as the centre for production and processing of fishery products in the Coridor of Bali-Nusa Tenggara. In Year-1 of the study period, the research activities carried out includes three processes, including analysis of the potensial of SMEs, analyzes the business cycle, and identification of barriers and chalenges. By using the method of linear regression analysis, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the study result in Year-1, obtained some information about characteristics of fisheries based SMEs Bali, consisting of: 1) there is positive effect between GDP growth and energy work on the level of productivity (output value) of SMEs; 2) the need for development of fisheries-based SMEs in Bali include some operational, capital, and market access aspects. To the Bali Provincial Government, SMEs and the poblic are expected to synergize themselves, in term of institutionally, improving the quality of human recources, empowering financial institutions at the local level, as well as active participation in marketing access to the international level.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze difference in motivation, organizational commitment, and performance amongpermanent and outsourced employees, as well as the moderating effect of employment status on the influenceof motivation and organizational commitment to employee performance. This research was conducted in PT.Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Kanwil Denpasar, with samples of 67 permanent employees and 67outsourced employees. Analysis technique using Anova and Moderated Regression. The results show thatthere is no significant difference between motivation and performance of permanent and outsourced employees,while there are significant difference between two kinds of employee in organizational commitment.Additionally, employee status emerges as moderating variable of influence of motivation and organizationalcommitment on employee performance. The research can become a reference for the company in improvingemployee performance in relation with employment status, motivation, and organizational commitment.

Abstract

The expectancy theory argues that the actions of employees were motivated by the hope that the employee will obtained some result, the optimal service quality is achieved when employees are satisfied and commited with their work. The study aims is to determine the effect of job satisfaction to organizational commitment and service quality of Bali Hyatt Sanur Hotel employee. The population were all employees which directly deals with consumers, 166 samples were chosen by proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analysed using path analysis with SPSS. The results showed that job satisfaction has a positive effect on organizational commitment and service quality, on the other side, organizational commitment has a positive effect on the service quality. The implications of this study showed that the match between workload and salary is very important to maintain employee organizational commitment. Job satisfaction will  increase employee loyalty and the willingness to provide the best  service quality

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of intrinsic motivation on job satisfaction and OCB and the effect of job satisfaction on OCB. This study also aims to analyze the indirect effect of intrinsic motivation on OCB through job satisfaction. The study was conducted at the Secretariat of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) of Badung Regency. Data were collected by means of questionnaire using five scales, distributed to 143 contract employees. Before being fully disseminated, data quality testing was carried out using SPSS 20 to ensure the questionnaire was valid and reliable. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis with WarpPLS. The results shows that intrinsic motivation plays an important role in increasing job satisfaction and OCB. Additionally, job satisfaction is also proven to be able to increase OCB. Furthermore, intrinsic motivation indirectly has an important role in increasing OCB through job satisfaction.

Abstract

These studies aimed to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership on job satisfaction and employee performance. The study adopted a quantitative paradigm with a population of employees at the Investigation Department, Immigration Office in Bali, Indonesia. The questionnaire was spread to 253 employees on intervals time three weeks by the number was responding are 115 employees.  The results revealed that transformational leadership has a significant effect on job satisfactionhowever, no significant impact on employee performance. Job satisfaction has a significant impact on employee performance. Moreover, this research found that job satisfaction played an essential role as a mediating between transformational leadership on employee performance. The implications of the study represent job satisfaction as a critical role and will be discussed.  Whereas, the practical implications concern the importance of administering equity in the transformational leadership values to enhance employee performance.

Abstract

This study is intended to know the impact of the implementation of Tri Hita Karana culture toward entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and business performance of SMEs of silver craft in Bali. The population of this research is all small and medium size enterprises of silver craft in Bali. By using purposive random sampling, 110 small and medium size enterprises located in four regencies in Bali were selected as samples. The data collection technique was distributing questionnaires. Furthermore, to test the inter-variables influence, inferential analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is applied using Partial Least Square (PLS) approach.The finding of this research has given contribution in enlarging the organization culture concept by using local culture values as an organization culture practice. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana culture could improve the entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and business performance. It was also found out that the cultural values of Tri Hita Karana are influence the market orientation mediated by entrepreneurial orientation. Moreover, this research reveals the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on market orientation and business performance.Keywords: organization culture of Tri Hita Karana (THK), entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and business performance.

Abstract

One of micro finance institution that has proliferated in Bali is Village Credit Institutions (VCI). VCI is a kind of micro finance institution which the owner by the traditional village and the only one micro finance institution that is managed by customary in Indonesia. This study aimed to analysis the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on VCI performance with Catur Purusa Arta (CPA) culture as a moderating variable. The research was conducted at Gianyar, Bali with 86 VCI as a sample. Methods of the data collection used interview techniques and questionnaires. Before analysis, the data qualify was test validity and reliability using SPSS. Furthermore, the data have collected was analysis using descriptive analysis and Moderation Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that entrepreneurial orientation is significantly affect on VCI performance. CPA is not significant effect on VCI performance. Moreover, the findings explained that CPA not significant strengthen in the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on VCI performance.
