Abstract

This research is an event study which aims to analyze the difference of abnormal return and trading volume activity of whole Indonesian Stock Exchange stocks before and after a political event occurring in the country. The object of observation was the announcement of the investment agreement between the Indonesian government and the Saudi Arabian government on March 01, 2017 using indicators of abnormal return and trading volume activity. Population and sample in this research are all the companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange, which are 539 companies. The data used are secondary data of daily closing stock price, IDX composite, daily trading volume and the number of outstanding stocks starting from February 01 to March 29, 2017. The statistical test used to test the hypothesis is paired sample t-test. The results showed that: (1). The investment agreement between the Indonesian government and the Saudi Arabian government has a positive insignificant effect on abnormal return of all IDX stocks simultaneously for the observation period days of 12th, 11th, 09th and 01st. (2). The investment agreement between the Indonesian government and the Saudi Arabian government also has a positive insignificant effect on trading volume activity of all IDX stocks simultaneously for the observation period days of 19th, 18th and 12th.

Abstract

Abstract Almsgiving is one of the pillars supporting the upholding of Islam as the obligation for the adherents to improve horizontal relations between fellow humans and strengthen vertical relations with Allah SWT. The implementation of Islamic Social Responsibility (ISR) of the Islamic Bank gives a positive assessment in sharia agreement, justice and equality, responsibility for work, welfare, guarantee of nature preservation and benevolent assistance that is not profit-oriented. Proper almsgiving management and ISR implementation make Islamic banks trusted by the public in terms of service quality, satisfaction and loyalty of Muzzaki. It reduces bad images, and provides relevant impacts on social welfare and the progress of the era. The data analysis used to test the hypotheses is Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The data is collected by distributing questionnaires to Commissioners and Directors at 14 (fourteen) Islamic Commercial Banks spread throughout Indonesia. The result of this study shows partially prove the role of Islamic bank commissioners in the amsgiving management only, while the importance of the role of directors in Islamic banks in almsgiving management and the implementation of ISR partially. Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a behavior that has an effect on organizational effectiveness. It has important consequences in workplace. OCB can contribute to organizational effectiveness through improved performance, enabling organizations to adapt to environmental change, and strengthening coordination within working groups. Therefore, it is important to investigate the variables that can improve the OCB. This study aims to determine the direct effect of spiritual leadership on employee’s performance, identifying the role of OCB to mediate the effect of spiritual leadership on employee’s performance. The population is all 436 employees of Sharia banking with state-owned status in Malang Raya, consist of Bank Sharia Mandiri, BRI Sharia, BTN Sharia and BNI Sharia. Total 140 samples selected are all permanent employees calculated by using Slovin formula. Data is collected directly from respondents by questionnaires and analyzed by PLS. The research results show that spiritual leadership has n0 effect on performance. OCB mediates the effect of Entrepreneur leadership on performance.

Abstract

Corporate value is influenced by many factors, one of which is through Good Corporate Governance. Corporate governance is a system that regulates and controls companies that are expected to provide and increase the value of the company to shareholders. The allocation of Corporate Social Responsibility funds is selected as a moderating variable because Corporate Social Responsibility activities are part of good corporate governance that is expected to strengthen Good Corporate Governance relationship with company value. The population in this study is the banking subsector companies listed on the BEI. Sampling technique using purposive sampling and based on predetermined criteria then the number of 22 samples of companies subsector banking. This research followed by the analysis by using Regression Moderation analysis. The result of the research shows that the implementation of Good Corporate Governance proxied with the Proportion of Independent Commissioners , Audit Committee , Independence Audit Committee , Frequency of Audit Committee Meeting and Frequency of Meeting of Board of Commissioner simultaneously have significant effect to company Value with CSR as moderation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine motivation, capital market knowledge, and preferences for interests. This type of research is explanatory research with quantitative research. The research population is students majoring in business management who have participated in capital market and financial management courses. The sampling technique using purposive sampling, data collection using a questionnaire. The sample of this research were students in the Department of Business Management who received 67 Business Finance or Capital Market courses. The results of this study indicate that there is no motivation for millennial generation investment interests, there is a relationship with capital market knowledge of millennial generation investment interests, is a preferential preference for millennial generation investment interests. There are simultaneous influences on motivational variables, capital market knowledge, and risk preferences for investment interest in millennial generation

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence student entrepreneurship intentions. This study uses 260 respondents taken from the students of Business Management Department at Politeknik Negeri Batam who have received entrepreneurial courses. The type of data used in this study is the interval scale, while the scaling method used in the form of likert scale instrument with 4 assessment categories. Data analysis techniques in this study used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are influences of parents’ job, entrepreneurial experience, self efficacy, entrepreneurship education, academic support and social support on student entrepreneurial intentions, while gender and environment support do not affect student entrepreneurial intentions. Future studies are expected to increase the number of research samples, change research samples or add research variables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi bukti empiris berupa variabel batasan waktu audit dan skeptisme profesional pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas audit internal pemerintah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh auditor internal pemerintah yang merupakan ASN dan bekerja pada Kantor Perwakilan Badan Pengawas Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) Provinsi Papua. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling, dengan kreteria auditor yang telah mengikuti Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Jabatan Fungsional Auditor (JFA), data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa kuisioner yang didistribuskan secara langsung maupun via email kepada responden yang berisi 28 item pertanyaan diukur dengan menggunakan skala likert. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bukti empiris bahwa Batasan waktu audit dan Skeptisme profesional secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap Kualitas audit internal pemerintah. Kontribusi dari hasil penelitian ini dapat memperoleh bukti empiris mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas hasil audit internal pemerintah, yang dapat memberikan informasi kepada pengambil kebijakan maupun auditor internal pemerintah sehingga dapat menjaga mutu serta meningkatkan kualitas audit internal pemerintah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Product Quality and Service Quality on Increasing Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty in Makassar Municipal Water Company (PDAM) both directly and through intervening variables or indirect effects. This study uses a quantitative approach conducted with the aim to explain the position of the variables studied and the relationship between one variable with another variable. This research will explain the causal relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. In this study, the analysis method used is path analysis using the SmartPLS program. The results of this study found that directly the product quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, service quality had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, product quality had a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, service quality had a positive and not significant effect on customer loyalty, customer satisfaction positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The indirect effect of this research is product quality has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty if mediated by customer satisfaction. Service quality also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty if mediated by customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the most important factors in an organization, because employee performance is crucial in determining organizational performance. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance, the effect of job promotions on employee performance, and the effect of compensation and job promotions on employee performance. This research is a descriptive study through a quantitative approach. The population of this research is the employees of PT. MSP Batam as many as 50 employees. The sampling technique uses census techniques, so the number of samples is 50 employees. The results of testing partially the effect of compensation on employee performance is significant, the effect of job promotions on employee performance has a significant effect, and simultaneously the effect of compensation and job promotions on employee performance has no significant effect.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Bintang Asia Usaha dan membahas mengenai evaluasi prosedur kegiatan ekspor pada PT Bintang Asia Usaha. Adanya kesalahan pada saat pembuatan invoice dan packing list yaitu, pada saat penginputan gross weight dan net weight yang tertukar dan adanya keterlambatan dalam pengiriman dokumen pengapalan. Objek penelitian ini adalah peosdur dan dokumen terkait kegiatan ekspor perusahaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif yang mengambarkan prosedur dan dokumen ekspor pada PT Bintang Asia Usaha. Hasil penelitian yaitu terdapat kesalahan pada saat pembuatan invoice dan packing list serta terjadinya keterlambatan dalam pengiriman dokumen pengapalan yang disebabkan karena kurangnya sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang ada di perusahaan. Penulis memberikn solusi sebaiknya adanya penambahan karyawan pada bagian ekspor supaya tidak hanya satu orang saja yang mengurus dan menangani semua kegiatan yang berhubungan dengan ekspor. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kendala apa saja yang sering terjadi pada saat melakukan kegiatan ekspor
