Abstract

This research focuses on the Shopee platform to analyse the effect of customer experience on customer loyalty through repurchase intention as a mediating variable. A quantitative research design was employed, using purposive sampling to select respondents. A total of 131 participants took part in this study, comprising male and female residents of Jakarta aged 17 to 30 years who had made at least one purchase on Shopee within the past six months. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, utilising a four-point Likert scale ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The collected data were analysed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through the SmartPLS software version 4.1.1.5. The results confirm that customer experience has a positive impact on both repurchase intention and customer loyalty, with repurchase intention also serving as a significant mediating factor between the two variables.

Abstract

Research on digital transformation in small and medium-sized enterprises generally focuses on the use of social media in general, while studies that specifically examine the adaptation process through live streaming features, especially in the local ornamental plant business, are still limited. In addition, the subjective experiences of business actors in facing the process of learning and adapting to technology have not been widely studied. Based on these gaps, this study aims to analyze the digital adaptation process in the development of ornamental plant businesses in Batu City through the use of TikTok Live as a marketing medium. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Theoretically, this study uses Everett Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation, Fred Davis' Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Herbert A. Simon's Behavioral Economics perspective to explain the process of adoption, acceptance, and decision-making in the use of technology. The informants consisted of five business actors who actively use TikTok Live. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and snowball sampling techniques, then analyzed through data organization, thematic coding, and conclusion drawing. The results show that before using TikTok Live, business owners still relied on traditional marketing with limited reach. The digital adaptation process involved increasing digital literacy, content creativity, and direct interaction with consumers. After utilizing this feature, informants experienced an increase in market reach, consumer interaction, and potential income. However, there were obstacles in the form of limited digital literacy, suboptimal technological infrastructure, and a lack of external assistance. This study contributes by providing an empirical description of the digital adaptation strategies of ornamental plant businesses, which can be used as a reference in facing digital transformation.

Abstract

Mobile population administration services (Jemput Bola) have become a critical instrument for extending civil document coverage in archipelagic regions of Indonesia, yet the organizational factors driving their field-level performance remain insufficiently understood. studies have predominantly examined conventional office-based public services and have not integrated leadership, communication, work structure, team dynamics, and organizational environment within a single analytical framework for mobile service contexts; this study aimed to address that gap by analyzing the partial and simultaneous influence of transformational leadership, interpersonal communication, division of work, teamwork, and organizational climate on mobile service performance. A quantitative explanatory study using a census technique was conducted on 50 field officers of the Department of Population and Civil Registration, Batam City, with data collected through validated 5-point Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. All five variables had positive and significant partial effects on service performance; simultaneously, the model was significant (F = 25.284; p < 0.001) with an Adjusted R² of 0.713. Teamwork emerged as the most dominant factor (β = 0.312; p = 0.001), followed by transformational leadership (β = 0.245; p = 0.007), while division of work showed the smallest coefficient (β = 0.185; p = 0.046). In mobile service environments characterized by high interdependence and field uncertainty, relational-collective factors (teamwork, leadership) exert stronger influence than structural-procedural factors (division of work), suggesting that proactive public service improvement strategies should prioritize team cohesion and inspirational leadership development.

Abstract

This study analyzes the contribution of human capital development factors (training, mentoring, coaching) and performance management factors (performance appraisal, reward system) toward productive employee performance at the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of Batam City. Drawing on Human Capital Theory, Competency Theory, Performance Management Theory, and the Two-Factor Theory of Motivation, this study argues that sustainable productive performance requires the simultaneous integration of capability development and motivational reinforcement. An explanatory quantitative design with census (saturated sampling) technique was employed, involving all 100 Disdukcapil employees as respondents. Data were collected through validated 5-point Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression with classical assumption tests. The results indicate that, simultaneously, the five variables contribute significantly to productive performance (Adjusted R² = 0.766; F = 69.40; p < 0.001). Partially, all five variables showed positive and significant effects. The Reward System was found to be the most dominant factor (β = 0.312; t = 4.512; p < 0.001), followed by Training (β = 0.245; t = 3.124; p = 0.002). These findings suggest that in the compliance-oriented Indonesian public sector, extrinsic motivational drivers exert stronger immediate effects on productivity than capability development alone, highlighting the need for integrated HRM strategies that balance recognition-based motivation with continuous competency enhancement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for developing Muslim fashion businesses through digitalization in Medan City. The research background is based on the rapid growth of digitalization, the rising awareness of modest fashion, and the increasing use of social media and online marketplaces by entrepreneurs. This research employed a qualitative method with a SWOT analysis approach, involving interviews with 10 Muslim fashion business owners. The findings reveal that digitalization significantly contributes to expanding market reach, improving consumer interaction, and facilitating transactions through social media and e-commerce. The main strengths are creative digital content and the adoption of modern payment systems, while weaknesses include limited digital literacy, low promotional budgets, and basic business management practices. Major opportunities come from the rise of online shopping, government support, and the growing demand for halal products. On the other hand, the main threats include intense competition, changing social media algorithms, and the rapid shift of fashion trends. This study concludes that the development of Muslim fashion businesses in Medan holds great potential if entrepreneurs can adapt to digitalization, strengthen branding, and enhance digital literacy through collaboration and training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital transformation and work experience on employees' digital efficacy, considering the mediating role of the generational gap. The research was conducted at PT Besmindo Materi Sewatama, an energy-sector company currently implementing digitalization in its human resources management functions. Using a quantitative approach and the SEM-PLS 4 method, data were collected from 110 employees through a total sampling technique. The findings indicate that both digital transformation and work experience significantly influence digital efficacy. Among these, work experience emerged as the dominant factor shaping employees' confidence in using technology, while the generational gap did not exhibit a significant mediating effect. The novelty of this study lies in integrating the four variables into a single comprehensive structural model. These findings offer practical implications for organizations in designing cross-generational training strategies and HR management practices to support inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the strategic positioning of navigation and communication subsystems within Indonesia’s defence Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) ecosystem. Guided by the Industrial-Organization (I/O) model, the research integrates market analysis, external environment assessment, and internal capability alignment to develop positioning approaches for GPS-denied inertial navigation and small-form-factor satellite communication (SATCOM) technologies. A qualitative methodology was employed, combining semi-structured interviews with defense stakeholders and secondary sources from policy, industrial, and technical domains. The findings show that effective positioning depends on early engagement with the Ministry of Defense, the armed forces as end-users, and DEFEND ID state-owned enterprises, while also meeting localization and offset requirements. Drawing on Porter’s concept of needs-based positioning and applying the Strategy Diamond model, the study identifies arenas, vehicles, differentiators, staging, and economic logic as interdependent elements shaping market entry. The proposed three-phase roadmap, focused on stakeholder engagement, system integration, and local sustainment, supports Indonesia’s defense modernization priorities while enabling multinational firms to secure a sustainable market presence.
