Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing stimuli factors that influence the purchasing decisions of Generation Z in Batam City regarding fast fashion items. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing factor analysis as the primary analytical method. Within the study, 19 variables were initially examined and subsequently reduced to several factors. The analysis revealed four key factors that drive purchasing decisions for fast fashion items among Generation Z in Batam City: Attractive Service, Marketing Excellence and Competitive Design, Value for Money, and Shopping Experience. The Attractive Service factor emerged as the most dominant, accounting for 24.192% of the variance in this study. This finding underscores the critical role of service quality in influencing consumer decisions in the competitive fast fashion industry. Brands should strengthen their digital presence through engaging social media content, and ensure up-to-date product designs to align with Generation Z’s preferences for developing competitive strategies. Additionally, improving the shopping experience through accessible store locations, strengthening brand reputation, and creating an inviting store atmosphere, can further attract and retain Generation Z consumers in Batam’s competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in convection based on the perspective of Islamic economics. This perspective emphasizes public welfare as a strategic foundation for creating sustainable growth. This research method uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with MSME actors and related parties, direct observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was carried out using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) framework to evaluate internal and external factors that affect MSMEs in convection. The results of the study indicate that although MSMEs face various challenges, such as limited capital and marketing, there are great opportunities to grow through the use of digital technology and innovative marketing strategies. Based on the SWOT analysis, the recommended strategies include strengthening product competitiveness, improving managerial skills, and expanding the market through digital platforms. By integrating the principles of Islamic economics, this strategy is not only oriented towards economic growth but also towards the welfare of the wider community. Based on the results of the IFAS and EFAS analysis, the position of the convection MSMEs is in Quadrant I (Strengths-Opportunities) in the SWOT matrix. This quadrant shows that the convection MSMEs has internal strengths that can be utilized to take external opportunities. This position provides direction for implementing the SO Strategy (Maxi-Maxi Strategy). The results of the analysis show that convection MSMEs have great potential to develop, especially through digital technology-based strategies and collaboration with local communities.

Abstract

The Senusa Coffee Shop on Jalan Bangau Sakti Pekanbaru is where this study was carried out. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how Senusa Coffee Shop Jalan Bangau Sakti’s competitive advantage is impacted by product innovation, location, and service quality. All patrons of Senusa Coffee Shop on Jalan Bangau Sakti make up the population of this study. With a sample of 385 customers, this study employed the incidental sampling technique. Product innovation, location, and service quality are the independent factors under investigation. Where the dependent variable is a competitive advantage. The Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analytical approach is used in this study. The study’s findings indicate that at Senusa Coffee Shop Jalan Bangau Sakti, product innovation significantly boosts competitive advantage, location significantly boosts competitive advantage, and service quality significantly boosts competitive advantage. The R-Square value of 90,5% demonstrates the extent of the relationship between the variables of product innovation, location, and service quality.

Abstract

This study tries to determine the impact of influencers and word of mouth on purchasing decisions with live streaming as a moderating variable on cosmetic and fashion products. This study uses the population of Batam City People who have used the Shopee application. This quantitative research uses the path analysis method as the data analysis technique. Data collection will be done by distributing questionnaires to the Batam City community. Using the Lemeshow formula, 150 respondents were obtained in Batam City. The research findings show that influencers have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions on cosmetic and fashion products, word of mouth has a positive and significant impact on buying decisions on cosmetic and fashion products, live streaming as a moderating variable weakens the influence of influencers on purchasing decisions on cosmetic and fashion products, and live streaming as a moderating variable strengthens the impact of word of mouth on buying decisions on cosmetic and fashion products

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the national economy, including in Medan City. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic financial literacy and Islamic fintech lending on the development of MSMEs in Medan City. Islamic financial literacy includes MSME actors' understanding of Islamic financial principles, such as the prohibition of usury and gharar, while Islamic fintech lending is a technology-based financing alternative that is in accordance with Islamic principles. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis methods. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 86 MSME actors selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study indicate that Islamic financial literacy significantly affects the ability perpetrator MSMEs in manage finance And determine source appropriate financing. In addition, sharia fintech lending has a significant positive impact on the ability of MSMEs to obtain fast, safe and halal financing. Simultaneously, both variables contribute positively to the development of MSMEs. This finding confirms that collaboration between Islamic financial literacy and financial technology can be an effective solution to overcome the challenges faced by MSMEs.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of work flexibility and job satisfaction on performance among Generation Z employees at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Office. This study comprised a saturated sample of 107 participants. This paper utilized a quantitative analysis using survey methodology, questionnaires, and structural analysis techniques with Smart-PLS. The study’s findings indicated that Work Flexibility has a significant positive effect on Job Satisfaction. Work flexibility significantly affects employees' assessment of their level of satisfaction. Flexible work arrangements allow individuals to optimize their time management and increase job satisfaction. Job satisfaction will inherently improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of return on assets, debt to equity, and total asset turnover on earnings growth with company size as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020-2023. The study population was 170 companies. The method used in sampling based on criteria (purposive sampling) obtained 49 companies as samples with a total of 196 observations. The secondary data collection method includes annual financial reports, journals, and related books. This research is quantitative, data analysis is done through PLS-SEM with a two-stage test approach using the Smart PLS 3.0 program. The results showed that return on assets and debt to equity partially had a significant positive effect on earnings growth while total asset turnover partially did not affect earnings growth. Company size is unable to moderate return on assets, debt to equity, and total asset turnover on earnings growth. The implication of this research is to provide insight for company management to pay more attention to the efficiency of asset use and capital structure management to increase profit growth, as well as provide information for investors in considering financial factors before making investment decisions in basic and chemical industry sector companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors of generation Z entrepreneurial intentions in the agricultural sector in the industrial city of Batam. The population in this study is management students from 4 universities in Batam City with a total of 200 respondents. This research is a quantitative research. The method used to analyze the data is factor analysis. In this study, there are 19 variables that can be reduced to several factors with the results of the study showing that there are 5 new factors, namely economic improvement, decision-making, interest, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial confidence.

Abstract

This study analyses the Influence of Quality of Work Life, Competence, Communication, Career Development, and Motivation on Employee Performance at PT. Bank BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia) Aek Nabara District. Data collection techniques used in the study were observation, documentation, and questionnaires using a Likert scale. The population in this study was 35 employees of PT. Bank BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia) Aek Nabara District. The entire population in this study will be used as a sample, namely 35 employees. The study's results prove that Quality of Work Life positively and significantly affects Employee Performance. Competence has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Communication has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Career Development has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance at PT. Bank BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia) Aek Nabara District.

Abstract

The comparative study between manager’s entrepreneurial skills and organizational productivity perceives a situation as fair when they obtain equivalent results for similar inputs, in accordance with the equity idea. The study aimed to assess the manager’s entrepreneurial skills towards organizational productivity of selected convenience store in Bulacan and used correlation with descriptive – quantitative design. Findings revealed that there were more female, 51.0 percent, more were in the age from 14 to 60 years old with 58.0 percent, in married category with 60.0 percent, with educational attainment College Graduates with 48.0 percent, in line managers has 52.0 percent. Data showed the average mean of all factors of work performance was 3.47 (SD = 0.52) facing as very highly skilled. The organizational productivity with an overall mean of 3.45, (SD = 0.51), with an interpretation of Very High Productive. This result will be guided that will provide continuous service and implementing flexible working policies to accommodate themselves to competition, often apply different working status together to achieve targets.
