Abstract

Science education in fourth-grade elementary school is still inclined towards a teacher-centred approach, where students prioritize memorizing theories and concepts. This results in a lack of development in scientific attitudes and students' absorption of the material. This research aims to describe the cultivation of scientific attitudes through the inquiry-based demonstration learning method. The research methodology is qualitative, utilizing data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation at SD Negeri Kedungwaduk 1 in Sragen. The study involves teachers and fourth-grade students as research subjects. The research findings indicate that the cultivation of scientific attitudes using the inquiry-based demonstration method reached 73.46%. Successfully instilled scientific attitudes include: 1) Curiosity at 64%, 2) Response to data/facts at 100%, 3) Critical thinking at 35%, 4) Discovery and creativity at 57%, 5) Open-mindedness and cooperation at 100%, 6) Independence at 71%, and 7) Environmental awareness at 85%. However, further intervention is needed to enhance critical thinking, which is currently at 35%, through exploration, experimentation, discovery, and small-group learning.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with grade 6 teachers at SDN Kesambi Dalam 4 Cirebon City in social studies learning "ASEAN" material, it shows that the learning outcomes obtained by students are quite low. This research uses a quantitative type of research using quasi-experimental methods. The samples studied in this research were Class A (control) and Class B (experiment) using random sampling techniques. Research tools include validated questionnaires and multiple-choice tests whose content and level of difficulty have been reviewed by subject matter experts. Hypothesis testing using the t-test and n-gain test is the data analysis approach used. Posttest findings showed that the experimental class (80.1) was significantly different from the control class (53.7) at a significance level of 0.05 (Sig. 0.05). The resulting t-count value is also greater than t-table, namely 44.718 > 11.695. Therefore, Ha is approved while Ho is not. The results of the n-gain test increased learning outcomes by 73.78% in the experimental group compared to only 42.55% in the control group. In this way, the implementation of Wordwall has proven to be effective in improving class VI social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar—Free Campus (MBKM) is a major step towards transforming Indonesia's higher education system. MBKM adopts the idea of independent learning, provides curriculum flexibility, allows students to participate in learning outside the study program, and encourages close collaboration between universities, the business world and the world of work. So that MBKM becomes an effective forum for students to develop hard skills, soft skills and micro-skills. This research design uses a quantitative with correlational design to measure the relationship between variables. Population and Sample: 87 students in the Serang Regency, Tangerang Regency and Tangerang City, Banten Province, Indonesia. R-Square: The R-square value for Micro-Skills is 0.205 and for Curriculum Development is 0.217, indicating the moderate ability of the model in explaining data variability. Lower Adjusted R-square values (Micro-Skills: 0.166, Curriculum Development: 0.189) indicate model adjustment for the number of predictor variables. F-square: The effect size of the exogenous latent variable on the endogenous latent variable shows a significant contribution of Academic Culture to Curriculum Development (f-square: 0.221), while other relationships are less significant. Path Coefficient: A statistically significant relationship was only found between Academic Culture and Curriculum Development (P = 0.019). Other relationships, such as Social Culture and Ethnocentrism with Micro-Skills or Curriculum Development, did not show statistical significance. MBKM gives students the opportunity to improve social skills, self-management abilities, and the ability to adapt to the work environment. Graduates can develop micro-skills thanks to curriculum flexibility and collaboration with industry. Universities can improve MBKM by focusing on learning relevant to industry demands and field experiences such as internships or practical projects.

Abstract

The RME model combined with the stemmatics method is a solution to students' low ability to understand concepts in multiplication. The research method used is an experiment with a quasi-experimental design. The population chosen was elementary schools in North Sumedang District which were randomly selected with 30 students for control an experimental classes. The research location is North Sumedang District, Sumedang Regency. The research instrument is a test in the form of pretest-posttest questions. The data analysis techniques used are validity test, homogeneity test, normality test, hypothesis test, mean difference test (Wilcoxon dan Mann Whitney test), and N-Gain test. The N-Gain test shows that learning in the experimental class has a positive influence as evidenced by an increase in learning outcome of 0.64. Apart from that, learning in the experimental class was better, as evidenced by the control and experimental classes, namely 64.07 and 84.03. This proves that learning in the experimental class where RME learning was applied using the stemmatics method was better than learning in the control class where conventional learning was applied. This increase is also influenced by the use of candy cane media with colorful appearance which can increase students' attention and enthusiasm when learning takes place.
