Abstract

The purpose of this research was toinvestigate the effect of Discovery Learning  model on student learning outcomes on the theme Object Around Usat 5th grade of Elementary School integrated thematic learning. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental research design. The population of this research is the students of 5th grade of elementary school in Region Six Garegeh of Bukittinggi City. The sample of this research is the 5th grade students of SDN 04 Garegeh consisting of two classes with the number of students VA class is 33 students and VB class is 32 students. Sampling was done by random sampling. Based on the research that has been done, obtained tcount> ttable that is 7,185 > 1,998 with α = 0,05 so it can be concluded Ha accepted that there is influence the use of Discovery Learning model of student learning outcomes. Keyword : Discovery Learning model, learning outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan siswa SD yang masih kurang dalam memahami bacaan secara kritis dan kreatif pada pembelajaran membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh model pembelajaran multiliterasi terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain non-equivalent control group pretest posttest. Data yang dikumpulkan untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yaitu data hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan membaca dari siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pemberian tes yaitu tes obyektif pendekatan pilihan ganda (multiple choice) dan essai. Perlakukan (treatment) yang diberikan adalah model pembelajaran multiliterasi pada kelas eksperimen, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak belajar dengan model pembelajaran multiliterasi. Hasil skor rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 18,76, sedangkan skor rata-rata posttest siswa kelas kontrol adalah 16,04. Dari hasil penulisan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran multiliterasi memberikan pengaruh pada kemampuan membaca siswa SD. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran multiliterasi, kemampuan membaca  THE EFFECT OF TEACHING MULTILITERACY MODEL IN READING SKILL OF ELEMENTARY STUDENTS Abstract This study is backed by the lack of competence of elementary students in terms of comprehending a text critically and creatively in teaching reading. The method used in the study  is quasi-experiment for which its design is non-equivalent control group pretest posttest.  The collected data that answer the research questions is derived from pretest and posttest of reading skill shown both students from the experiment and control class. The  technique of test is objective test approaches, multiple choice and essay for reading skill. Teaching multiliteracy model as the treatment in this research is applied for the experiment class but the control class is not. The everage score of posttest in reading skill for the students in the experiment class showed 18,76 and the students in the control class showed 16,04. The result of study points out that teaching multiliteracy model gives an effect for the students in reading skill. Keywords: learning multiliteracy model, reading skill

Abstract

The purpose of the development research is to produce a textbook on the development of Beginning Reading and Writing skills by using the VARK (Visual, Auditory, Read-Write, Kinesthetic) model in the practical grade I class. The development is based on the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) models that emphasize the contextual user needs (teachers and learners), resulting in a draft of the Beginning Reading and Writing skills development package using the VARK model in class I elementary school , which contains the identification of competency standards and basic competencies, identification of indicators, identification of learning objectives. The results of the trial of practicality demonstrate that the textbook of Reading and Writing Beginnings by using VARK model in class I elementary school is practical and feasible to be used by grade 1 elementary school teachers.  Keywords: Beginning Reading and Writing skills, VARK model, Elementary School

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining: (1) the effect of Genius Learning strategy toward concept understanding compared with conventional; (2) the effect of Genius Learning strategy towards concept understanding with high mathematical disposition compared with conventional; (3) the effect of Genius Learning strategy towards concept understanding with low mathematical disposition compared with conventional; (4) the interaction between learning strategy and mathematical disposition in influencing concept understanding. This study was designed as quasi-experimental research by using a 2 x 2 factorial. The data were obtained by using mathematical disposition questionnairesand concept understanding test. Data were analyzed by using t-test and Anova.The result of the data showed that: (1) understanding of the concepts taught by Genius Learning strategy was higher than conventional; (2) understanding of the concepts with high mathematical disposition taught by Genius Learning was higher than conventional; (3) understanding of the concepts with lower mathematical disposition taught by Genius Learning was higher than conventional; (4) There was no interaction between learning strategies andthemathematical disposition in influencing students’ understanding of the concept.Keywords: Concept Understanding; Mathematical Disposition; Genius Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN 63 Surabayo, Kabupaten Agam, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart, yang dilakukan selama dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, implementasi tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi tindakan. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar IPA, khususnya tema tentang Lingkungan Sahabat Kita. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan perolehan hasil belajar. Rata-rata skor hasil belajar siswa pada tahap prasiklus tercatat sebesar 63,92%. Skor tersebut mengalami peningkatan menjadi 78,67% pada akhir siklus I, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 86,83% pada akhir siklus II. Hasil observasi menunjukan bahwa penerapan model PBL membuat siswa lebih aktif belajar, berani dan mandiri dalam menyelesaikan masalah IPA yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Kata Kunci: Model PBL, Hasil Belajar IPA, dan Penelitian Tindakan.  APPLICATION OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) MODELS IN A SAINTIFIC APPROACH TO INCREASE LEARNING RESULT OF CLASS V SDN 63 SURABAYO Abstract:This study aims to improve science learning outcomes by applying the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL). Research conducted at SDN 63 Surabayo, Agam regency, with fifth grade students study subjects totaling 24 students. This research is an action using a model Kemmis and Mc.Taggart, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection action. The process of data collection is done through test results of study, observation, and documentation. The results showed an increase in science learning outcomes, particularly the theme of Environment Our Friends. This is evidenced by an increase in the acquisition of learning outcomes. The average score of student learning outcomes at prasiklus stage was recorded at 63.92%. The score increased to 78.67% at the end of the first cycle, and increased to 86.83% at the end of the second cycle. The observation result shows that the application of the model PBL make students more active learning, courageous and independent in solving issues related to science student's daily life. Keywords: Model PBL, Science Learning Outcomes, and Action Research.

Abstract

Following research is purposed to find out if there is a relationship between Learning Motivation and study's result on fifth grade of national elementary school number four subdistrict Banuhampu, Agam regency. Population in this research are 159 students with 61 students as sample. Data is analyzed by using Pearson Correlation shows that there is relationship 0,936 and r table df=59 with 5% significance 0,2521, which means counted r is bigger than r table (0,936>0,2521), and obtained significance 0,000 which is smaller than 0,05. This result shows that there is a significance relationship between Learning Motivation and Study's result on fifth grade of national elementary school number four subdistrict Banuhampu, Agam regency.Keywords : Learning Motivaton, Study's Result

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce teaching materials on learning mathematics based on the Qur'an in elementary schools are valid, practical and effective. This research is development research using the ADDIE model. The results showed that the developed teaching materials are categorized very valid with the percentage of teaching materials 91.50%. The effect of practicality test of teacher responsse is categorized very practical with percentage 91,07%, and student responsse is categorized very practical with percentage 92,04%. Assessment of learning outcomes of students is classified very high. Based on these results it can be concluded that the mathematics materials based on the Qur'an in elementary schools declared valid, practical and effective.Keywords: Al-quran, teaching material, mathematics, elementary school

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning result in fourth grade of SDN Koto Tinggi, Tanjung Raya, Agam, through a Scientific Approach. This research is an action research using Kemmis and Mc.Taggart models which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycles consists of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection action. The results showed an increase in the results in learn science, especially in the topic of natural resources by using a scientific approach. This was proved by the average percentage of students in pre-cycle was 44.16% and increased to 63.33% after cycle I and 77.5% in cycle II. The implications of this study indicate that the use of a scientific approach makes the students more active and independent in learning with an integrated understanding. Teachers can develop an innovative approach that meets the needs of students, so the learning process will be more dynamic and meaningful.Keywords: Learning Result of Science; Scientific Approach; Action Research

Abstract

This article aims to prove the influence of learning and creativity approaches to understanding the concept of Natural Sciences (IPA). Quasi-experimental research uses a pre-test post-test control group design. The study population was Al-Falah Islamic Elementary School, Jambi City with a sample of class VI students. Data analysis uses two-way variance analysis (ANAVA). The results showed the following findings: 1) the influence of students' understanding of the science concept learned by the process skills approach was different from the students taught by conventional approaches, 2) the influence of the understanding of science concepts of students who have high creativity learned by the process skills approach different from students who have high creativity taught by conventional approaches, 3) Understanding of science concepts students who have low creativity who are taught by the process skills approach are relatively the same as students who have low creativity taught by conventional approaches, 4) There is no significant interaction between the use of process skills approaches and conventional approaches to creativity towards understanding the science concept. Keywords: learning approach, creativity, understanding, science concept

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan contextual teaching learning (CTL) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa. Tujan penelitian ini menggambarkan perencannaan, penerapan, dan hasil belajar di SDN Labor Pembangunan UNP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan hasil belajar meningkat dari KKM 75. Pada  perencanaan pembelajaran mendapatkan rata-rata 68,86% naik menjadi 88,50%, aktivitas guru 70.33% menjadi 88.18%, aktifitas siswa dari 72.52% menjadi 85.62%, dan hasil belajar dari 67.26 menjadi 82.44. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pendekatan CTL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar Kata kunci: CTL, IPS  USAGE OF CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) APPROACH TO IPS LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AbstractThrough this research, researchers use the approach of contextual teaching and learning (CTL) to improve student learning outcomes in IPS learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes in SD Development Laboratory UNP Padang. This type of research is a classroom action research, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, this approach consists of two cycles.The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes increase from KKM learning 75. In the first cycle of lesson planning get an average score of 68.86% to 88.50%, teacher activity 70.33% to 88.18%, student activity 72.52% to 85.62%, and results student learning 67.26 to 82.44.
