Abstract

Pendidikan Multikultural yang selalu mengedepankan budaya dan nilai-nilai universal pasca konflik sosial di sekolah, diharapkan sebagai suatu upaya untuk membangun tatanan kehidupan yang lebih harmoni, yang dilandasi rasa saling hormat menghormati, mengakui keragaman dan mengedepankan asas kemanusiaan dan keadilan sosial, terutama di lingkungan pendidikan atau sekolah. Melalui berbagai mata pelajaran yang diajarkan di kelas. Guru sebagai hidden curriculum, merupakan instrumen penting yang mendorong pengembangan budaya sekolah. Karena perilakunya dapat menjadi contoh dan teladan bagi siswa. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru dikelas perlu penekanannya pada budaya berfikir kritis siswa, kemampuan kerja sama, serta keterampilan dalam mengambil keputusan. Untuk itulah pendidikan multikultural merupakan suatu konstribusi positif untuk warga bangsa ini khususnya di kota Ternate pasca konflik sosial. Di lembaga pendidikan formal, khususnya di sekolah perlu ditanamkan sikap dan semangat kebersamaan dan hubungan kesetaraan yang harmoni.Kata kunci: Multikultural, nilai budaya daerah, konflik sosial THE IMPORTANCE OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOL OF POST SOCIAL CONFLICT IN TERNATEAbstract           Multicultural education in schools that puts emphasis on culture and universal values following the social conflicts is expected to represent an attempt to create a more harmonious social order, which is based on mutual respect, acknowledgement of diversity, and humanitarian principles as well as social justice, especially in the educational setting or schools. Through a variety of subjects taught in the classroom, the teachers as the hidden curriculum constitute important instruments that encourage the development of school culture since their behavior can be an example and role model for students. Teachers’ instructional efforts in classrooms need to emphasize critical thinking, cooperative, and decision-making skills on their students..For that reason, multicultural education represents a positive contribution to the people of this nation, especially those living in post-social conflict Ternate city.    In formal education institutions, mainly formal schools, it is a necessary to cultivate attitude and spirit of togetherness and a harmonious mutual relathionship. Abstract

This study is almed to know the influence of the application of Cooperative Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) Type through/toward the IPS Students’ Achievement at Grade V at SDN 01 Bandar Buat Padang.This study is designed in Quasi Experimental Design with Posttest Only Controlled Design. Popullation in this study is two classess of students at Grade V at SDN 01 Bandar Buat Padang with 63 people totally. The sampling technique is total sampling which is derived to all popullation, so that VA class as experimental class and VB class as controlled class. Data collection in this study is by collecting the students’ test result in from of multiple choice test with 12 items of question. Data collected is analyzed with T-test instrument and show Tcounted = 2,425 and Ttable = 1,670 with db = 61 (n1+n2-2 = 32+31-2 = 61), where as Tcounted is bigger than Ttable so that H0 is refused and H1 is accepted. It could be concluded that Cooperative Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) type shared a significant influence toward V the IPS Students’ Achievement at Grade V at SDN 01 Bandar Buat Padang at academic year 2017/2018. Keywords: Cooperative Model Numbered Head Together (NHT) Type, Student Achievement, IPS

Abstract

The result of the research indicated that there was an improvement on the students learning achievement after jigsaw cooperative model applied. This could be seen from: (1) the lesson plan used by teacher is getting complex in which its average score improved from 74,99% in the first cycle into 89,28% in the second cycle, (2) the teachers activity improved from 79,8% in the first cycle into 89,80% in the second cycle, and (3) the students learning achievement 78,69% in the first cycle into 93,26% in the second cycle. Based on this result, it was concluded the use of jigsaw cooperative model could improve the students learning achievement in civics.  Keywords: Civic Learning, Jigsaw Model

Abstract

Learning tools that are used in the schools are still not optimal in facilitating the development of learners. The purpose of this study is to produce a device with a math learning 5E learning cycle model of Lorschbach valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is the development of research. The model used is a model development Plomp. The results showed that the study of mathematics by 5E learning cycle models developed Lorschbach have valid criteria in terms of content and construct. Practical learning device has been good in terms of enforceability, ease, and the time required. Learning device has also been effective in terms of activity and learning outcomes of students with an average value of learners activity increased and the level of mastery learning outcomes. This means learning devices effective in improving learning outcomes of students. Based on these results it can be concluded that the study of mathematics by 5E learning cycle Lorschbach models developed in the study of mathematics in class V SD can be declared valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: Learning tools, math, learning 5E learning cycle model of Lorschbach

Abstract

This research aims to know the differences of interest in learning through the application of media animation and conventional learning in IPA learning. Sample of this research is determined by quasi experimental design and take two classes samples, namely experiment class use media animation and control class use the conventional learning models. The research instrument is used: 1) the learning design by using the media animation and conventional learning design, 2) learning readiness questionnaire, 3) evaluation in the form interest questionnaire. Analysis of the data used is analysis of covariant (ANCOVA).The result of this research showed that: 1) interests in learning IPA, the student who have a high readiness, higher when compared with the interest in learning IPA that student have a low readiness. 2) Interest in learning IPA students are taught by media animation is no different with interest in learning IPA that student is taught by conventional.The result of this research when analyzed by ANCOVA can be concluded that: 1) there is a linear relationship between learning readiness and interest in learning IPA, 2) there is no difference between interest in learning IPA in experiment class with in learning IPA in control class. Keywords : media animation, learning readiness, interest in learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep IPA mahasiswa calon guru SD berdasarkan motivasi belajar, keterampilan proses sains, kemampuan multirepresentasi, jenis kelamin, dan latar belakang sekolah. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester III TA 2016/2017. Analisis pemahaman konsep menggunakan metode CRI. Hasil menunjukkan: 1)  Pemahaman konsep IPA dengan kriteria paham konsep sebesar 82,64%, tidak paham konsep sebesar 4,86%, dan miskonsepsi sebesar 12,50%; 2) Pemahaman konsep calon guru SD berdasarkan motivasi belajar kategori tinggi lebih baik daripada yang kategori rendah; 3) Pemahaman konsep calon guru SD  berdasarkan keterampilan proses sains kategori tinggi lebih baik daripada yang kategori rendah; 4) Pemahaman konsep calon guru SD  berdasarkan kemampuan multirepresentasi kategori tinggi lebih baik daripada yang kategori rendah; 5) Pemahaman konsep calon guru SD  perempuan lebih baik daripada laki-laki; 6) Pemahaman konsep calon guru SD yang berasal dari SMA (IPA) lebih baik daripada yang berasal dari SMA (IPS) dan SMK.Kata kunci:  Pemahaman Konsep IPA, Motivasi, Kemampuan Multirepresentasi ANALYZING THE UNDERSTANDING OF SCIENCE CONCEPT BASED ON LEARNING MOTIVATION, SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS, MULTIREPRESENTATION ABILITY, GENDER, AND BACKGROUND OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER EDUCATION STUDENTAbstract This research aims to analyze the students understanding as elementary school teacher candidates about science knowledge concept based on motivation to learn, science process skills, multi-representation ability, gender, and their school background. The subjects in this researcharestudents who are in the third semester of school year 2016/2017. CRI methodology have been used to analyze the understanding of the concept. The result indicates: 1) Understanding about science concept has 82.64 percent of students understand the concept, 4.86 percent of students do not understand the concept, and 12.50 percent of students get misconceptions; 2) Understanding aboutconcept of elementary school teacher candidates based on learning motivation states that the high category better than the low category; 3) Understanding aboutconcept of elementary school teacher candidates based on the science process skills shows that the high category is better than the low category; 4) Understanding aboutconcept of elementary school teachers candidates based on the multi-representations ability indicates that high category is better than the low category; 5) Understanding aboutconcept of the female elementary school teacher candidates is better than the male ones; 6) Understanding aboutconcept of elementary school teacher candidates who have IPA background in the high school is better than those derived from IPS background and vocational high school (SMK).Keywords: Science Concept Understanding, Motivation, Multirepresentation

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve skills in forming reliefs from plasticine material in elementary schools using the direct learning model. This research is a research conducted using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The subject of the research was the teacher and fourth grade students of elementary school in the city of Padang. The results showed that an increase in skills formed a relief in the form of: the RPP assessment had increased from 84.71% to 94.44%. From the teacher aspect there was an increase from 76.56% to 95.31%, and the student aspect had increased from 70.31% to 90.62%. In the assessment of student skills improvement occurs from an average value of 70.76, increasing to 85.98.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explain influence smartphone on learning motivation of elementary school students Mapanget Subdistrict Manado City. This research is in four elementary schools used sample are 84 students. This research is a quantitative study used the survey’s method with the following stages: observation of the location of the research, preparation of questionnaires, distribution of questionnaires, validity testing, data collection, processing of research results, analysis of the results of research, and discussion. The result showed that the effect of smartphone on the learning motivation of students in elementary school Mapanget Subdistrict was 0.057 or 5.7% with a significance  0.028 < 0,05. The results of testing t-table is greater than t count, namely t-hitung = 2.232 ≥ (t-tab) = 1.989. This means that smartphone have an effect on students’ learning motivation even though it is in the low category 5.7%. It is recomended that students do not use excessive smartphones both at school and at home. Parents and teachers need to supervise children in using smartphone everday  because the effect  of smartphone on students’ learning motivation is very low.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in social studies learning in the fifth grade of SDN 50 Kuranji Padang. This study aims to determine the effect of the Bamboo Dancing learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 50 Kuranji Padang. The research method used was Quasi Experimental Design with the design of Posttest Only Control Design. The population in this study were fifth grade students of SDN 50 Kuranji Padang, which class VB using the Bamboo Dancing learning model while the VA class using the Bamboo Dancing learning model. Based on the results of the posttest, the average value of the experimental class is 80.0 and the average value of the control class is 63.93. From the results of hypothesis testing with a significance level of 0.05, obtained a significant value of 0.51 because sig˃α, the hypothesis is accepted, so it can be concluded that the Bamboo Dancing learning model influences social studies learning outcomes of students in fifth grade SDN 50 Kuranji Padang in the 2018 school year / 2019.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of poetry reading literacy in elementary schools. The approach used is qualitative and quantitative. The subjects of this study were 22 Silaing Bawah Public Elementary School teachers and 22 Silaing Bawah Public Elementary School teachers. Based on the ability to read poetry obtained the average value of the results of the pre-test reading poetry evaluation of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah is 68.33 and is in a pretty good qualification. Whereas the average results of the reading poetry reading the evaluation of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah after the training was 78.58 and were in good qualifications. Thus it can be seen that the implementation of poetry reading literacy can improve the ability to read the poetry of the teachers of SD Negeri 07 Silaing Bawah and SD Negeri 08 Silaing Bawah.
