Abstract

Childbirth is a physiological thing, but in some cases of childbirth there are still factors that complicate things and cause complications during the birth process. The duration of the first stage of labor in parturient mothers is influenced by maternal, fetal and helper factors. The occurrence of problems with one of these factors can cause difficulties during labor, thereby impacting the length of labor. This is very important and needs to be taken into account considering that several cases of maternal and infant deaths are due to not being detected early. The aim of this research is to analyze factors that influence the length of the first stage of labor. This research is analytical research by processing secondary data using a case control approach. The population in this study was all mothers giving birth in January-December 2022 at the Sumber Glagah Regional Hospital, Mojokerto, totaling 130 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The statistical test used is the Spearman Rank test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between the mother giving birth and the mother's age with a value of p: 0.005 (OR=41), there was a relationship between pregnancy spacing and the first stage lengthened p: 0.004 (OR=10), there was a relationship between parity and the first stage lengthened p : 0.004 (OR=6), there is a relationship between the baby's weight and the first stage of prolongation p : 0.005 (OR=45). From the research results, it is hoped that health workers can pay attention to risk factors in pregnancy that influence the birthing process. Application of maternal care to speed up the birthing process

Abstract

People with DM (diabetics) will generally experience obesity as a manifestation of metabolic changes in insulin and leptin hormones. The high variation in body weight and height and the many problems of controlling blood sugar levels in people with diabetes mellitus, researchers want to identify the relationship between Body Mass Index and HbA1c in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients at Bangil Hospital. This study uses correlation analytics with a cross-sectional approach to determine the relationship between body mass index and HbA1c levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Bangil Hospital using consecutive non-random sampling techniques totalling 80 respondents. Data collection was carried out by means of laboratory examinations to see HbA1c data and blood glucose levels, while data regarding the patient's Body Mass Index (BMI) was taken by measuring body weight and height. The results of bivariate analysis conducted with the Chi-Square test approach showed that there was a significant relationship between body mass index and HbA1c (p-value = 0.000; α < 0.05). HbA1c is the gold standard for assessing blood glucose homeostasis. HbA1c is a single accurate test to assess long-term glycaemic status and is useful in all types of DM. One of the efforts that can be done to reduce blood glucose levels is by achieving good nutritional status through BMI.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of screen time on the development of toddlers in the city of Surabaya. After distributing questionnaires to residents of the city of Surabaya who have children under five, 110 respondents were obtained who filled out questionnaires to become supporting data for this research. The results of this study show that screen time given to toddlers with a period of less than 1 hour per day will result in better sleep quality, because children will get enough sleep for at least 10 hours per day consisting of naps and nighttime sleep. Apart from that, it will produce more toddler play activities so that toddlers will prefer playing with their friends rather than having to play alone with gadgets. Giving children less than one hour of screen time per day will result in better toddler socialization activities. Toddlers will adapt more easily to their new environment and be more confident when they meet new people because their social psychology development is very good. Apart from that, toddlers have better eye and hand coordination, meaning that children's fine motor and gross motor development is also very good, as well as toddlers' better communication skills. Toddlers can answer their parents' calls more quickly and answer more quickly when their parents ask. Toddlers who can communicate both ways with their parents and other people indicate that their verbal and logical skills are very well developed.
