Abstract

Indonesia is an agrarian country with subtropical climate suitable for planting multicultural and one of those plants is sugar cane. Sugar cane is a raw material for producing sugar, where biomass waste has not been utilized appropriately. The amount of biomass waste was produced of 24-30% from sugar mills. Effective, efficient and environmentally friendly waste treatment technology is needed to utilize the waste into a renewable energy source using gasification methods. Gasification is a process to convert biomass waste to combustible gases (CO, CH4, and H2). This process is combustion with limited air supply (20% -40% stoichiometric air) to break long hydrocarbon chains into short hydrocarbons at high temperatures. This method requires an updraft gasifier furnace that is capable of being operated at high temperatures, which can convert biomass waste into syngas with high conversion. An updraft gasifier is a gasification furnace at temperature of 300-500oC and atmospheric pressure, also used air flow of 10-20 L / min and zeolite as catalyst. This research are devided into few steps, namely drying, crushing, separating, gasification process, The proximate and ultimate method was used to analyze the produced syngas. Proximate analysis is an analysis to measure the calorific value by using a calorimeter bomb, ash content used AAF furnace, and moist water content used a decator. Moreover, ultimate method was used to analyze CH4, H2, O2, N2, CO and CO2 compositions by using Gas Chromatography (GC). Firstly, sugarcane bagasse as the main raw material, were dried and chopped in 7 cm then it were put into the gasifier. The results showed that maximum syngas ratio of combustible gas (CO, H2 and CH4) and noncombustible gas (NGC) of 1.03 with added the zeolit of 200 gr and water of 40 ,L/min.

Abstract

PT. Golden Energi Mandiangin adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam Manufacturing Crumb Rubber dimana dalam operasionalnya memerlukan pengendalian persedian bahan baku untuk produksi. Masalah optimalisasi pemesanan bahan baku merupaka hal yang sangat penting dalam suatu perusahaan, sehingga masalah ini terus dipelajari dan dikembangkan. Analisis yang digunakan adalah metode EOQ. Penelitian dan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan, apabila menggunakan metode EOQ dalam pengadaan bahan baku akan didapatkan penghematan biaya.. Jika penyelenggaraan bahan baku didasarkan pada metode EOQ terdapat penghematan biaya tahun 2013 sebesar Rp. 392.013.491,- tahun 2014 sebesar Rp. 714.924.228,- tahun 2015 sebesar Rp. 341.627.892,-.Dengan demikian berarti ada perbedaan yang sangat nyata antara kebijaksanaan persediaan yang dilakukan menurut perusahaan dengan perhitungan menurut EOQ.

Abstract

The ship production process is largely a welding work. About one-third of the total number of jobs in the construction stage is regulated Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) which is regulates welding rules such as class material, electrodes, how to weld the bevel shape long distance bevel (gap) and slope angle. Based on the WPS used of construction HN 309 Tanker Ship the length of the bevel distance (gap) in welding SMAW is 2,63 mm. Bending tests are performed to regulate strength of materials due to loading without causing deformation. This research study aims to determine the bending strength (quality) of the welders is 1 mm plate with variants of are 100 A 120 A and 140 A. The welding method ASTM A36 plate which is do bending test to using MTS landmark ASTM E 190-2003. The flexural strength of bending test from the three specimens based on current variation is the value of current strength 140 A is best compared to the current strength of 120 A and 100 A, the value of 140 current strength is 1.76107649 kN /mm2, current value of 120 A is 1,50230752 KN/mm2 and 100 A current strength of 1,44976202 kN /mm2 with a linear regression value is 0,872. So that the 11 mm plate welding procedure with a 2 mm gap can be used in the ship building production process.

Abstract

Indonesia there are many abundant produce mainly the agriculture not dependent with one example is peanuts.The fields are in need of peanuts as a raw material for the manufacture of cheese, butter, oil, jam, candy or other food.To facilitate the work of the man in the beans then grind in a grinder machine make peanuts.At this point has created peanut grinder machine automatic movements using electric motor.This research was conducted to find out perbedan the intensity of noise and impact on the impact of the use of the old engines with new engines.The data obtained from the measurement of the intensity of the noise using the android application and filling the questionnaires by respondents.Based on statistical tests Paired Sample t-Tests on the get that there was a decrease in the intensity of the noise of 33.60%.Test validity and reliability the questionnaire stated 7 questions (old machine) and 13 questions (new machine) in kuesiner is valid because r count > r tables, and the results of Chronbach's > 0.60 Alpha so in say reliability.From the comparison of the data of the questionnaire can be seen with the new engines occurred quite a significant difference in the comfort of the operator's wor

Abstract

Modification of meat grinder machine 8 kg capacity has been developed to get an applicable machine for fish meat processing in micro and small enterprise like that warung pempek, kemplang and crackers businesses. The machine is designed more simply that driven by AC motor 0.5 HP with speed rotation of 1400 rpm. The results using 3 types of fish shows that average capacity of machine is 12,13 kg/ hour. In addition, the element of convenience in washing the grinder blade is a major aspect to consider in modification.

Abstract

In the industrial application, the pneumatik system was used to help the production process that uses automatic control. The pneumatik system trainer that already exists in the Politeknik Jambi workshop still uses a manual control system. In this discussion, the writer wants to modify the PLC-based electro-pneumatik policy (programmer logic controller). Pneumatik systems were all systems that use power in the form of compressed air and are used to produce work. The first compressed air by the compressor and stored in the storage tube. The storage air was treated so that the pneumatik system can function correctly. The compressed air was regulated for use by a pneumatik control system, which is connected to the solenoid valve to drive three cylinders of double-acting opposite motion..
