Abstract

In the cultivation of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), there are still some obstacles or obstacles that farmers complain about, one of which is the high price of commercial feed, because one of the most important factors in cultivation is quality feed. Fish growth will increase if the feed given can be digested properly by fish so that the energy obtained by fish from feed can be utilized optimally. Therefore, with the background of some of the problems above, it is necessary to add natural feed in tilapia cultivation, with a nutritional composition that is in accordance with the needs of fish, this study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of adding natural feed in the form of turmeric extract as an immunostimulant that can trigger the growth of tilapia, as well as to determine the effect of differences in the concentration of turmeric extract added to each tilapia feed on the growth rate (weight and body length) of tilapia. This research was conducted through an experimental method, where the treatment given was in the form of adding turmeric extract with different concentrations to the artificial feed of tilapia. The results of this study proved that the higher the dose of turmeric extract added to the feed, the higher the growth rate of body length and weight of the tilapia. This is due to the balance of protein, and has the main content in the rhizome, namely essential oils and curcumin which can increase appetite, and also acts as an antioxidant.

Abstract

The activity of disposing of waste and other polluting items into the river pollutes the river and has a big impact on living things. The inappropriate use of the river causes damage to the function of the river. This problem cannot be resolved in a short time, it takes self-awareness of each community to overcome these problems. As a student who is considered a young man who can make changes to the nation, each student should feel sympathy and an effort to spark ideas for solving the problems above. However, in fact there are not many students who have good responses to the above problems, so a study is needed to see the extent to which students respond to these problems. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how the 3rd semester students of Jember University respond to the damage to the function of the river and its impacts. This study used the subjects of several FKIP students, University of Jember semester 3, batch 2019. The above research was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the response of the students regarding the damage to the function of the river and the impacts it caused was quite good which can be seen from the high percentage value found in the table of the results of the description of student responses on indicators two to four. However, in the first indicator there are still deficiencies in student responses to innovations in preventing damage to river functions.

Abstract

The prevalence of smoking in Indonesia over the years tend to experience increased. Increasing cigarette consumption in Indonesia will affect public health conditions and demanding high fees from the public, so that the necessary control of the consumption of cigarettes wisely. The smoking prevalence of the problem, can be made a mathematical formulation. There are three parameters involved, namely the active smoker population, the population of smokers and potential smokers who've stopped population, along with the change in time. Identify the parameter is very important, because it can show how the problem of the prevalence of smokers. In this study used method of Multistage Adomian Decomposition (MADM) which gives the solution of the model population increase smokers as solution series t (time) for each subinterval m during the period from [0, T]. The resolution of the model and the simulation model do with programming in Mathematica version 8. Key words : method of Multistage Adomian Decomposition (MADM),  prevalence of smokers

Abstract

There were three pilars of  palm oil plantation in Indonesia, state-owned large estates and private estates which total extensive oil palm plantations area in 2005 were 5.445 thausands  hectares with 12.452 thausands million tons production crude palm oil. The composition of the plantation farmers  area was 40,02 %, national large plantations was about  13,96 %, and  48,68  % for private estates. There are two types of Management of their field, nucleous estate smallholders  (NES) and farmers. Unfortunately farmers better than independent farmers in managing the  estates, because there was cooparation between the farmers with the nucleous companies. The PIR system stated that the nucleous  plantation companies were useful in developing and crops farmers market assigning, While the farmers must manage his estates well and market the results through the company's nucleous. Sustainability analysis conducted by the method of Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) approach  with Rap-Insus palm oil techniques (Rapid Appraisal-Index Sustainability of palm oil Management). Analysis of key factors of sustainability management performed a prospective analysis of the sensitivity factors (leverage factor) of the MDS and the factors from the analysis of stakeholders' needs. The results showed that the status of sustainability of palm oil management in   PT.Perkebunan Nusantara VII Muara Enim, South Sumatera)was quite sustainable with a multidimensional index of 67,67.
