Abstract

RSUD Budhi Asih is a government owned hospital. Their daily activities are to provide medical services. In order to provide fast information services to the patients, computer support that is connected to a networks is required. However, the computer networks have not been used for medicine’s inventory system. Hence, in this research, the development of medicine’s inventory system is developed. The present system of medicine’s inventory relies on stand alone PC so that validation of the quantity, validation of vendor selection and report validation are still taken care manually. Abstract

This research is intended to analyze the perception of the students towards the use of operations research virtual laboratory. Technology Acceptance Mode is used for the analysis of the process of information technology adoption. MPT comprises of three main variables, namely perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use and the actual intention to use. A sample size of 60 Gunadarma University students are taken, comprise of 30 students from the faculty of industrial technology and 30 students from the faculty of economics. The result revealed that the most of the respondents perceive that the operations research virtual laboratory can be used only as complementary of the face to face laboratory practice. The correlation matrix indicates high positive correlation between perceived usefulness and perceived easy of use. Abstract

Research in image processing growth very fast so that it can be applied in many areas such as security, health, entertainment, military, science and technology, industry, robotics, and agriculture. An example of application of information technology in security, which related to identification and verification, employs biometrics, such as DNA, fingerprint, face, palm, and signature. The use of biometrics is believed to be more secure than traditional system, such as password and ID card for authentication purposes. The objective of this research is to design automatic control system by way of identification of face characteristics using Euclidean Distance and Fuzzy C-Means. The face acquisition process utilizes object capturing sensor prior to computer processing. The results demonstrate that the system recognized face characteristics from 5 peoples in the database. Abstract

Shipping information in the telecommunications world is often a mistake is made on the data sent. The errorcaused a disturbance at the physical level of interference on the transmission line media, such as electromagneticradiation interference, cross talking, lightning or because of interference noise. This interference causes theinformation which received does not match with the submitted information. CRC is one method that can be usedto detect errors in the system. CRC is basically using mathematical calculations on a number called the checksum(CRC value is also called), which was based on the bits total to be transmitted. Based on these bits totalthere are several CRC types that are CRC 8, CRC 16, CRC 32 and CRC 64. To facilitate the process of calculatingthe CRC value, then was made a step or algorithm that can be implemented in the software (programminglanguage). In this research created an algorithm that uses 32 CRC, and implementing them into the Java programminglanguage in the GUI (Graphic User Interface) form.

Abstract

Effectiveness media for learning activity is not enough only utilize the traditional media method, such as classical activity by using white board. Development of communication and computer technology can support long distance study by using network, server or web or by live interaction such as live streaming.Development of live-streaming in education activity is not only by using teleconference that need handshaking connection. Other model is by using web based CCTV live-streaming that use open source software. The web based model is more efficient then teleconference, the main reason does not need handshaking connection. The all web browser can be as client which can directly access multimedia document. Abstract

Utilization of information technology in education is an effective means to improve the quality of student learning. Instance, developed learning modules for student, so the student can using virtual instruments. Learning modules that developed on the Basic Physics Laboratory called Optic Lens modules, it used for student learning, where reflected of the shadow of the object can not be captured by the display or can not be seen directly by eye, then the size can not be calculated due to limited human vision and the tools laboratory work. Abstract

In the Internet era, selection of hosting services becomes very important. Most of the approaches in choosing hosting services are based on price and advertising. In this paper, prediction approach is used to select proper hosting services. Forecasting of Internet services users is conducted using combination of two methods, namely judgemental technique and time series. Judgemental technique was used when a website were about to be hosted for the first time by collecting opinions from those who have used the hosting services as an input in selecting which services are actually fit the needs. Meanwhile, time series technique can be used for forecasting trends of a website by analyzing the log file. Abstract

In the information era, competence and skill in processing data into ready to use information becomes necessary. Special hospital for pregnancy care and as a center for inpatient of giving birth mother require specific information system for handling patient data. The main problem in a hospital is the difficulty of medical doctor and medical staff in using computer as a media for entering data or creating reports. Conventional approach of classic database development is using DFD – ERD. To overcome problems when using this approach, taking into account user interface may enrich the design process. In this case study, impact of the approach for the developed system using DFD – ERD only compared to the same system with user interface.
