Abstract

As time goes by and human efforts to plant and expand new superior species cause local species that are very diverse to be suppressed resulting in decline (inbreeding depression), even genetic drift. one of the local species is banana Roid from Jatigede District. Roid banana is allowed to grow wild without any special care from the local community. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential genetic diversity of local varieties of Roid banana (Musa spp.) in Jatigede District. This research will be conducted in November 2021 – January 2023 in three villages located in Jatigede Sub-district, namely Ciranggem Village, Jemah Village, and Mekarasih Village. The research was conducted using a descriptive method through exploration and characterization that refers to descriptors. Determination of the sample location was done by purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study, Jatigede Sub-district has a wide genetic diversity and distant kinship between Roid banana species. Characters that contribute to inter accession diversity are midrib width (LPt), bunch diameter (DTn), and pseudostem length (PPs). Accession MS1.3 was selected as a superior accession with the characters of the number of combs per bunch, leaf blade width 71-80 cm, leaf blade length 171-220 cm, and the number of rhizomes > 5 tillers..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the labor productivity of the West Java agricultural sector and its correlation with the age of the workforce. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The secondary data used in this study comes from the book State of the Labor Force Situation in Indonesia, 2013 to 2022 the results of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) published by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and the book Jawa Barat  in Figures from 2008 to 2023 published by BPS West Java Province. The results showed: a) growth in labor productivity in the agricultural sector during the 2012-2022 period from IDR 22.29 million per worker per year in 2012 to IDR 31.56 million per worker per year in 2022; b) the largest number of workers starting sequentially is the age group of 45-54 years, age 35-44 years, age ≥ 60 years, and age 25-34 years, while the age group 15-24 years and age 55-59 years much lower; c) there was a decrease in the number of workers in the agricultural sector, except for the 55-59 year old group which an increase during the 2006-2017 period; d) the results of the Pearson correlation analysis show that there is a negative and significant correlation between labor productivity in the agricultural sector and the workforce in the 15-24 year old group (-0.821), 25-34 year old (-0.921), 35-44 year old (-0.948) ), and age 45-54 years (-0.848), while the workforce age group 55-59 years and age ≥ 60 is not related.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess how satisfied farmers are with the performance of farmer groups in Binong village, Binong sub-district, and how well those groups' performance parameters match farmers' expectations. A questionnaire was employed for this research. A total of 75 participants were sampled using a proportional stratified random method. Attribute seven, "organizing and carrying out the division of tasks among members according to mutual agreement," had the highest level of conformity between importance and performance among the performance attributes of farmer groups, at 91.60%, according to the study's findings. Improving the sustainability of productivity while also protecting natural resources and the environment ranks lowest among the four most important areas for development identified by the Cartesian diagram. a decline in efficiency. According to data from the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) measuring various aspects of farmer organizations' performance, the vast majority of farmers are happy with their services.

Abstract

Aim of this research are 1) Does product quality, price and location simultaneously influence green mussel purchasing decisions. 2) Does product quality, price and location partially influence the buying decision of green mussels. The research design used is descriptive quantitative research using survey techniques. The population used is green mussel consumers who are in Gunung Jati District, Cirebon Regency. The part that was studied was the effect of product quality, price and location on green mussel purchasing decisions. The number of samples used was 75 respondents with a non-probability sampling technique using accidental sampling. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression tests. The results of the study show that 1) Partially or individually, product quality does not significantly influence green mussel purchasing decisions. 2) Partially or individually, the price variable and location variable have a significant effect on the purchasing decision of green mussels. 3) Simultaneously or together that the product quality variables, price variables and location variables have a significant effect on green mussel purchasing decisions in Gunung Jati District, Cirebon Regency.

Abstract

Organic red rice is a food source that contains antioxidants. This rice has an outer layer of bran which is a good source of protein, fiber, fat, and vitamin E. This research aims to analyze the willingness to pay for organic red rice and the factors that influence it. The basic method used is descriptive analysis. The research location is Surakarta City which is chosen using purposive method. The research respondents amounted to 100 people using accidental sampling. The Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) method is used to determine the average value of maximum WTP, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the factors that influence consumer WTP. The average value of willingness to pay for organic red rice in Surakarta City is IDR. 33,264,- per kilogram. Age, income, trust, scarcity, health awareness and environmental awareness have a positive effect on the WTP value. Other factors such as number of family members, attributes, conspicuous consumption, and gender have no effect on the WTP value. The factor that most influences the willingness to pay for organic red rice in Surakarta City is trust.
