Abstract

This study aims to determine the market structure, behavior and performance of maize marketing in Wonogiri District. The basic research method is analytical descriptive. The research location was chosen purposively. The farmers sample were determined by using quota sampling, while traders sample were chosen by using snowball sampling method. The research data is analyzed by SCP approach (Structure, Conduct, and Performance of Market). The research results showed that the market structure of maize in Wonogiri District leads to the incomplete market competition, namely oligopsony market. This market structure causes the inefficient market. The market conduct is inefficient, it is showed by the β1 (0.785) <1. There are four types of maize marketing channel in Wonogiri District with the farmer’s share more than 50%. It indicates that the maize marketing in Wonogiri District is included in efficient category.

Abstract

Abstract. Jebres is one of the densely populated districts in Surakarta. This causes no land for agriculture in the area. The solution is to initiate a green village in collaboration with PKK Gendingan RT 03/XVI Jebres. This activity is based on urban farming which has purposive to improving the economy and ecology in the Jebres. Urban farming is implemented through the agricultural extension on processing agricultural waste and household waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) using the stacked bucket technique. The method uses a participatory extension. The activities are held at the Gendingan Jebres Building began with an explanation of waste management. Then this activity continued with the practice of processing agricultural waste and household waste into POC. POCs are ready to be harvested after two months since the waste was first processed using the stacked bucket technique. This activity is held from August to October 2020, and in October 2020 participants can harvest POC. POC is used with a composition of three POC spoons for one liter of water. This POC can be produced further and is useful for improving the participant's economy. In addition, POC can also be used as plant fertilizer which has an impact on improving the participant's environment.

Abstract

Bandung Regency is an agricultural area that supports the business development of various commodities. However, the growth rate and contribution of the agricultural, forestry, and fishery sectors in Bandung Regency is relatively small. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused a decrease in economic activity which has an impact on the economic structure in GRDP, this causes the need for an analysis to determine the potential of the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors in Bandung Regency seen from its growth. This research uses primary data from interviews and secondary data from the GRDP of Bandung Regency and West Java Province in 2016-2019 for the period before the pandemic and 2020-2021 for the period during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are two analytical methods used, namely Shift Share Analysis (SSA) and Growth Ratio Model (GRM). The results of the shift share analysis show that the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors in Bandung Regency have a positive total economic change value, meaning that the sector has the potential to be developed both before the pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic, while the results of the growth ratio model analysis show that the agricultural, forestry, and fisheries sectors in Bandung Regency had regional potential before the pandemic, but became not potential during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Organic red rice is a food source that contains antioxidants. This rice has an outer layer of bran which is a good source of protein, fiber, fat, and vitamin E. This research aims to analyze the willingness to pay for organic red rice and the factors that influence it. The basic method used is descriptive analysis. The research location is Surakarta City which is chosen using purposive method. The research respondents amounted to 100 people using accidental sampling. The Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) method is used to determine the average value of maximum WTP, and multiple linear regression analysis to determine the factors that influence consumer WTP. The average value of willingness to pay for organic red rice in Surakarta City is IDR. 33,264,- per kilogram. Age, income, trust, scarcity, health awareness and environmental awareness have a positive effect on the WTP value. Other factors such as number of family members, attributes, conspicuous consumption, and gender have no effect on the WTP value. The factor that most influences the willingness to pay for organic red rice in Surakarta City is trust.

Abstract

Economic development has positive and negative impacts on society. One of the negative impacts that occurs is the emergence of greenhouse gases (GHGs). GHG is a gas that causes climate change, disrupting the sustainability of economic development. On the other hand, economic growth also has a positive impact in the form of benefits in the form of goods and services produced. Looking at these facts, the expected economic development can increase GDP and reduce carbon dioxide emissions (CO2e). Based on this, this research aims to (1) find out the effect of GDP on CO2e emissions, (2) find out changes in the elasticity of GDP on CO2e emissions for the 2000-2009 and 2010-2019 periods, and (3) find out which sectors can reduce CO2e emissions and who is the trigger for changes in CO 2 e emissions. The data used in the research is secondary data from 2000-2019 from BPS Indonesia. The study was conducted in 2023. Sample for 20 years. The analysis used is regression combined with an intercept dummy, elasticity dummy, and shift share. CO2 emissions match GDP values, approximate benefits, and GHGs. The research results show that GDP positively affects CO2e emissions with an elasticity value greater than 1. The results of the shift-share analysis show that policies at the national level still make a positive contribution to CO2e emissions. Sectoral policies provide varying results. The suggestion that can be given is that GDP is still increasing CO2e emissions. Steps that can be taken by all economic actors, such as the government, entrepreneurs, and society, must prioritize actions that mitigate GHG by seeking to increase GDP and reduce CO2e emissions, namely by combining policy efficiency and sustainability.
