Abstract

During last decades global society has witnessed remarkable growth of global issues, both on social and environmental level, that have resulted in broad changes in the global economy. These aspects have increased the neccesity for more systematic and sustainable approach towards the way business is done on local and global level. Therefore, corporate social responsiblity (CSR) has become an effective tool, many companies have decided to apply within domestic as well as international environment. The main goal of this paper is therefore to describe CSR policy and strategies of McDonald’s – worldwide fast food chain leader. Moreover, we analyze reasons of different perception of McDonald’s CSR strategies between Indian and Slovak consumers. CSR has become an important instrument to develop and implement more responsible business strategies that contributes not only to development of companies’ themselves, but towards development of society and environment as well. Although, we can find difference in approach towards CSR implementation in business strategies and the strenght of their impact on society and environment. Significant role in the strenght and kinds of influence CSR has, plays the context in which companies are motivated to support and develop CSR strategies and the type of innitiative. Various approaches (including motives and innitiatives) can results in different perceptions of company’s CSR strategies and attempts as we will see in presented case comparative study. Abstract

The objective of this study is to accomplish an empirical assessment on the effects of fundamental and technical factors on stock return. Judgment sampling method was used in selecting samples. Factors relating to earnings and risk (i.e., systematic risks) along with ROA, DER, and BVS were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with ordinary least square. Results of the analysis showed that fundamental factors (i.e., ROA, DER, BVS) and technical factors (i.e., stock risks) were found to simultaneously have no significant effect on stock return. Factors that partially have significant effect on stock return were DER and stock risks.Key words: technical factors; fundamental factors; ROA; DER; BVS; stock return; systematic risk

Abstract

Cellular services industry in Indonesia is currently located in the saturated, inwhich development can’t run as fast as before, even to decline. In times ofsaturated, if the market penetration can’t produce high profits, keeping thecustomer loyalty is one of the best ways for company to gain profit. The way tomaintain customer loyalty is to satisfy customers. But, in the hypercompetitif era,not only customer satisfaction is needed to maintain customer loyalty. Severalcompanies are also implementing the same customer satisfaction strategy, socustomers have a great power to move. To anticipate the movement of customers,it is necessary to apply another strategy. Biaya peralihan which are costs to beborne by the customer if the customer decides to switch, also serves to maintaincustomer loyalty. One of the biaya peralihan strategies adopted by Telkomsel tomaintain the customers loyalty is to making “simPATIzone” community for it’scustomer. Therefore the study aims are to examine and analyze the impact ofcustomer satisfaction on customer loyalty with biaya peralihan as a moderatorvariable on the simPATI phone card customers (studies on “simPATIzone”community In The WTC’s Surabaya). This study is a causal research. Thepopulation in this study is age 16-65 years, do not have other brands of GSMcard, and have been using phone cards simPATI for at least 1 year. Samplescollected as many as 210 respondents using accidental sampling technique.Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire, and data were analyzed withModerate Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that biaya peralihanbe a moderate variable is weakened the impact of customer satisfaction tocustomer loyalty. The result of regression, estimate adjusted R2 on 0,969 and thisaimed 96,9% changes of customer loyalty is depends of customer satisfaction,biaya peralihan, and interaction variable, and the other of variable aimed 3,1%.Suggested for other examined, to making biaya peralihan be second independentvariable in order not weakened the impact of customer satisfaction to customerloyalty.Key Words: customer satisfaction, biaya peralihan, customer loyalty

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of achievement motivation,organizational commitment and self-efficacy on managerial performance of coursesinstitutions leader at YPA Handayani. The research method uses a survey thatinvolving 17 peoples who take through census technique. Collecting data usingquestionnaires and data analysis using multiple linear regression. The researchresults indicated that organizational commitment and self-efficacy variables havesignificant effect on managerial performance, whereas achievement motivation hasnot significant effect. Achievement motivation, organizational commitment and selfefficacysimultaneously have a significant effect on managerial performance, whichorganizational commitment has the dominant effect on managerial performance.Therefore, to improving managerial performance in courses institutions need toconsidering organizational commitment and leadership’s self-efficacy factors.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the growth rate of the high tourist in Jakarta that is not matched by an increase in the number of tourists are balanced. The problem in this research is "whether there is the influence of the tourist attractions, facilities and quality of service to customer satisfaction in the Garden Ragunan Jakarta.Yang specifically focused on three variables: the tourist attractions, facilities and quality of service. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of the three variables in influencing customer satisfaction in the Garden Ragunan Jakarta. After conducting a literature review and hypothesis formulation, data collected through questionnaires at 100 Park visitor Ragunan Jakartayang obtained using systematic sampling technique. Then do the analysis of data obtained by using multiple regression analysis. This analysis includes: validity and reliability, the classical assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing via t-test and F, and coefficient of determination (R2). F test showed that the variables that have a significant effect tourist attractions terjhadap visitor satisfaction and other variables not only a significant and positive effect on customer satisfaction. Figures adjusted R-square of 0.20 indicates that 20 percent of visitor satisfaction variables can be explained by the three independent variables in the regression equation. While the remaining 80 percent is explained by other variables outside the three variables used in this study. Keywords: visitor satisfaction, tourist attractions, facilities, quality of service

Abstract

Kumarakom Panchayath falls under Kottayam taluk and the Pallom developmentblock of the Kottayam district. At present 61.22 Hectare of land is categorized asResort area. Due to rapid growth of tourism, there will be a higher demand for landwhich will result in the faster development of the remaining resorts. It is assumed thatover and above 61.22 ha of already committed resort areas an additional 40.44 ha ofperennial crop with settlement will also be utilized for resort development and relatedactivities. For Kumarakom panchayath a future scenario (Year 2011) of spatialstructure has been worked out here based on the existing scenario and the envisagedchanges in the land use structure. In addition to the projected population of 27,300,the tourist equivalent population also has to be considered for evaluating all centralfacilities requirement as well as utilities service requirement for Kumarakompanchayath. This means Kumarakom Panchayath is loaded with 42,000 (27,300 +14,700) population instead of 27,300 natural population for providing services andfacilities. The holding capacity of 91.5 ha of resort area in Kumarakom Panchayathestimated till 2011 will be 3660 beds (40 x 91.5 beds). The holding capacity of touristbeds in Aymanam and Arpookara panchayaths will be 20% of 3660 i.e. 732 beds.Thus, total holding capacity will be approximately 4392 beds. Usual tourist staff ratioof a luxury resort of three to five stars is 1:3. Therefore, population equivalent for atourist is assumed as 4. This means for a holding capacity 3660 tourist in Kumarakompanchayaths, population equivalent of tourist will be 14, 640 (3660 x 4). Varioussuggestions regarding restricted development and environmental protection aresuggested through this study.

Abstract

Perdagangan dan industri mengambil peranan pokok dalam pembangunan ekonomiyang ditandai oleh proses perubahan struktural, yaitu suatu perubahan dalamstruktur ekonomi masyarakat.. Perkembangan perdagangan yang pesat membawaimplikasi pada persaingan antar perusahaan dalam perdagangan. Perusahaandituntut untuk dapat mempertahankan atau bahkan meningkatkan kinerjanya agardapat tetap bertahan dalam masa krisis atau persaingan yang semakin ketat.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor fundamentaldan risiko sistematik yang mempengaruhi harga saham pada sector perdagangan.Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling method, dari tigapuluh tujuh perusahaan, hanya diambil tiga puluh perusahaan dari sektorperdagangan, karena memiliki laporan keuangan secara lengkap tahun 2005-2007.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hanya faktor fundamental (nilai buku, lajupengembalian yang diinginkan, dan risiko sistematik) yang mempengaruhi hargasaham secara parsial, sedangkan faktor fundamental yang lainnya tidak berpengaruh.Sedangkan secara simultan, semua faktor fundamental (pengembalian aset,pengembalian ekuitas, nilai buku, rasio pembagian deviden, rasio hutang terhadapekuitas, dan laju pengembalian yang diinginkan) dan risiko sistematik (beta)berpengaruh terhadap harga saham.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk dengan tujuan mengetahui pengaruh Net Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Biaya Bunga/Pendapatan Bunga, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) terhadap Profitabilitas Bank (ROA) pada Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Dalam penelitian ini variabel X Net Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Biaya Bunga/Pendapatan Bunga, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) merupakan variabel independen (bebas), dan variabel Y (Return On Asset) merupakan variabel dependen (terikat). Alat untuk menganalisis data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh anatara Net Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Biaya Bunga/Pendapatan Bunga, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) terhadap Return On Asset (ROA). Dan tidak terdapat pengaruh antara Biaya Bunga/ Pendapatan  Bunga terhadap Return On Asset (ROA) pada Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk. Kata kunci: Net Performing Loan (NPL), Net Interest Margin (NIM), Biaya Bunga/Pendapatan Bunga, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) dan Return On Asset (ROA)

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penyuluhan terhadap tanggung jawab pengusaha dan peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah, dan juga untuk mengabalisis pengaruh tanggung jawab pengusaha daerah terhadap peningkatan pendapatan asli daerah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis. Proses pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dilengkapi dengan studi dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh tersebut dianalisis secara statistik dengan metode Path Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, penyuluhan Peraturan Daerah menurut persepsi responden berada dalam kondisi baik, tanggung jawab pengusaha dalam membayar retribusi baik, dan peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah dalam posisi baik. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa variabel Penyuluhan Peraturan Daerah tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Tanggung Jawab Pengusaha dan Peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah di Kabupaten Cirebon. Selanjutnya variabel Penyuluhan Peraturan Daerah tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Tanggung Jawab Pengusaha, variabel Penyuluhan Peraturan Daerah tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah, serta variabel Tanggung Jawab Pengusaha tidak berpengaruh terhadap variabel Peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah di Kabupaten Cirebon. Beberapa Temuan penelitian penting lainnya antara lain meliputi efektivitas Penyuluhan Peraturan Daerah sangat tergantung kepada Penguasaan Materi dan Sikap Petugas Dinas ketika menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam hal memungut Retribusi Surat Izin Usaha Perdagangan dari Wajib Retribusi diperlukan sikap persuasif, jujur dan transparan sehingga akan menimbulkan simpati dan rasa tanggung jawab dari masyarakat pengusaha.
