Abstract

Penelitian tentang strategi pengembangan media: antara bisnis dan ideologi, dilakukan terhadap Media Indonesia dan Metro TV yang berada di bawah manajemen Media Group. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan fenomenologi, dengan tipe penelitian analitis desktriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan selain melalui studi pustaka, juga dilakukan studi lapang melalui observasi lapang, wawancara serta penelusuran data melalui situs web. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: Pertama, kebijakan Media Group untuk melakukan integrasi antara Media Indonesia dan Metro TV, pada awalnya lebih pada kebutuhan internal; Kedua, model operasional Media Indonesia dan Metro TV, melahirkan model “konvergensi unik” yang belum pernah dilakukan oleh media mana-pun di dunia, yakni melakukan integrasi acara antara Media Indonesia yang analog dan Metro TV yang digital. Konvergensi dilakukan bukan hanya pada acara Metro TV dan pemberitaan di Media Indonesia, tetapi juga melakukan “pertukaran” dan “perputaran” karyawan di lingkup Media Indonesia dan Metro TV. Selain mendapatkan keuntungan ekonomi, institusi media ini juga mendidik para karyawan kedua institusi ini untuk dapat menguasai dan memiliki keterampilan ganda, menulis di media cetak dan menulis narasi televisi.Ketiga, untuk dapat survive, Media Indonesia dan Metro TV berupaya menyeimbangkan idealisme media sebagai pilar the agent of change dengan kepentingan bisnis, melalui berbagai kebijakan internal maupun tujuan pencerahan masyarakat.

Abstract

Financial analysis is a must for an investor before deciding to invest.  Generally, on share investment financial analysis is done using fundamental analysis and/or technical analysis. As addition to fundamental analysis, an investor also should be aware of market risk or systematic risk in generally speaking. Market risk is correlated heavily with certain kind of share price or certain group due to investor anticipation toward rate or return expected.However, this risk can be measured using beta (β).  This research is intended to evaluate the effect of fundamental analysis and systematic risk on share price, whether it is partially or simultaneous.  Sampling was done using purposive sampling, i.e. by choosing 31 companies which are listed in Stock Exchange Indonesia and publish financial report during year 2006-2008.  Data analysis was done using multiple regressions from statistics method, by deploying SPSS software.  Dependent variables is share price, and independents variables are return on asset, return on equity, dividend payout ratio, debt to equity ratio, book value, required rate of return, and beta (β).  Result shows that only book value influence share price partially. Simultaneously, variables are return on asset, return on equity, dividend payout ratio, debt to equity ratio, book value, required rate of return, and beta (β) influence share price.Key words: fundamental factor, systematic risk, and share price.

Abstract

Social welfare problems which is noted as Penyandang Masalah Kesejahteraan Sosial (PMKS) in Indonesia, is urgently needed to be solved. Jakarta Dean Capital (Jakarta DC) as promising city to every Indonesian citizens is the most troubled with PMKS. Hence local goverment is accused to handle PMKS problem by issuing various programs. The objective of the study therefore is to evaluate the role of local government in handling PMKS problem. Research design is constructed as field research method in three (3) locations PSAA. Study showed that local government should involve the relevant agencies such as Social Services, Satpol PP, Public Health Service and the Police in handling PMKS problems. Outreach result is suggested to be handed over to Social Institutions “Bina Insan Bangun Daya” for temporary shelter in order to classify type of PMKS. Abstract

The objective of this study is to elaborate the differences of customer—in this case university students—satisfactions towards service quality of Bengkel Motor AHASS 1605 Seturan Yogyakarta. Samples in this study are university students who are customer of the bengkel. Purposive sampling combined with simple random sampling was applied to select 100 respondents. Primary data regarding those variables under study were collected using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Paired Sample t-test. Results of the study showed that there were differences on customer satisfaction based on service quality dimensions. It implies that management of the bengkel is required to formulate better marketing strategies that lead to better service quality and its associated dimensions.Key words: customer satisfaction; service quality dimensions; marketing strategy.

Abstract

Telecommunication development was accompanied by technological advances in the field of cellular. But until now most particularly CDMA operator service users still complain about some services are generally considered unsatisfactory. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of customer satisfaction for prepaid card services in CDMA, by identifying customer expectations and perceptions. Case studies carried out on customer service user CDMA prepaid card in Depok Municipality using the method of service quality (reliability and assurance). Data processing to produce the attributes that need to get the repairs, which consists of signal quality is less good, easy conversation is interrupted, the grievance can not be addressed properly by the customer service, it is difficult to deliver a complaint to customer care and customer service do not understand about customers need.Keywords: Service quality, customer satisfaction, servqual.AbstrakPerkembangan telekomunikasi dewasa ini ternyata diiringi dengan kemajuan teknologi dalam bidang seluler. Namun hingga kini sebagian besar pengguna layanan operator terutama CDMA umumnya masih mengeluhkan beberapa pelayanan yang dinilai belum memuaskan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pelanggan terhadap pelayanan jasa kartu pra bayar CDMA, dengan mengidentifikasi harapan dan persepsi pelanggan. Studi kasus dilakukan terhadap pelanggan pengguna jasa kartu pra bayar CDMA di Kotamadya Depok menggunakan metode service quality (servqual). Pengolahan data menghasilkan atribut yang perlu mendapatkan perbaikan, yaitu terdiri dari kualitas sinyal kurang bagus, percakapan mudah terputus, penyampaian keluhan tidak dapat ditanggapi dengan baik oleh customer service, sulit dalam menyampaikan keluhan kepada customer care dan customer service tidak dianggap memahami kebutuhan pelanggan.Kata Kunci: Kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan pelanggan, servqual.

Abstract

This study introduces a two-phase methodology in obtaining fundamental concepts from literature. Content analysis performed in the first phase leads to the most frequent concepts scholars used in scrutinizing a theme. Social networkanalysis in the second phase results a network of the relationships between concepts and examines the importance of every concept in the network. To elucidate the advantage of the methodology, the study applies the methodology onCoopetition – to cooperate and compete simultaneously – literature. Ten most frequent concepts occur in the coopetition literature are: Competition, Cooperation, Coopetition, Knowledge, Market, Network, Relationships, Resources, Strategy and Value. Under the social network analysis terms, the importance of every concept in the network is denoted in degree, closeness and betweenness centrality measures. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze comparative financial performance on a national private banks before and after implementation of the Indonesian Banking Architecture and to analyze the development of the application of the Indonesian Banking Architecture in private banks. This study uses secondary data from quarterly financial statements national commercial banks obtained from the bank during the period of 2002-2006. Sampling technique using purposive sampling method and data analysis methods used are financial ratios CAR, NPLs, ROA, ROE, NIM, ROA and LDR, statistical analysis normality test and two different test paired sample t test. Data processing for both the analyst using SPSS. The results showed that the comparison of the performance of the national private commercial banks before and after implementation of the Indonesian Banking Architecture 2002-2006 period there were no significant differences. Keyword: financial performance, architecture, banking

Abstract

Tujuan dari dari penelitian adalah mengukur pengaruh pengawasan internal terhadap kinerja.Penelitian dilakukan terhadap karyawan di kantor Inspektorat Jenderal Departemen DalamNegeri. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuesioner. Kuesioner tipe tertutup, dengan pilihanjawaban 5, dikembangkan untuk kedua variabel. Variabel pengawasan internal diukurmenggunakan 6 dimensi, dan variabel kinerja diukur menggunakan 3 dimensi. Data yangterkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapatpengaruh positif dan signifikan pengawasan internal terhadap kinerja inspektorat jenderaldepartemen dalam negeri.

Abstract

Bankruptcy is a phenomenon which is avoided by any firms. For that we need a method that can be used as bankruptcy early warning systems. Altman method is one of the methods referred to. This study aimed to analyze financial statements using the Altman method and use the results of the analysis to predict the likelihood of bankruptcy of eleven food and beverage firms which are registered at the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period 2003 to 2007. Data used in this research were secondary data obtained from financial statements (i.e., Income Statements and Balance Sheets) of 11 food and beverage firms. Altman method (Altman’s Z-score) was used to analyze data. The resulted Z-scores were used to predict the likelihood of bankruptcy at the studied firms. Results of the study showed that there are five firms in bankrupt category at least in one period; four firms in the category of potential bankruptcy (grey areas); at least in one period; and seven firms in healthy category at least in one period. Of the five firms which were included into bankruptcy category, only one was in the category for five consecutive years. There is no single firm for five consecutive years to be entered into the category of grey area. Of the seven firms that have been entered into healthy category, four firms are in healthy category for five consecutive years.
