Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the pattern of intraday tradingwithin industrial sector which are listed in LQ45 and the domination oftelecommuniaction sector in trading activities at the Jakarta Stock Exchange. Anexamination on the behavior of intraday stock trading activities at the Jakarta StockExchange in the period between 2002 and 2003 is accomplished in this study. Tradingactivities used in this study were volatility of return, volatility of stock price, volume oftrading (based on transactions), spread, relative spread, depth, and relative depth(based on order). Approximately 8 millions trading activities were particized into timeinterval of 30 minutes. Regression analysis with dummy variable for independentvariable was applied. Results of the study showed that there were high means oftrading activities both at the beginning and the end of trading. This finding is inaccordance with a number of theories and results of several empirical studies whichindicate that trading behaviors in each capital market are varied. In addition, it wasalso indicated that trading activities at the Jakarta Stock Exchange, rather than bytelecommunication sector, were dominated by financial sector.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris tentang pengaruh faktorfundamental dan faktor teknikal terhadap harga saham baik secara parsial ataubersama-sama. Adapun pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode judgmentsampling, yaitu pemilihan sampel berdasarkan pada kriteria-kriteria tertentu. Untukkeperluan penelitian ini penulis menggunakan faktor yang berkaitan dengan earnings,dan risiko (risiko sistematis), dengan menggunakan model yang dianalisis dengananalisis regresi yang menggunakan persamaan kuadrat terkecil (least squareregression analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ROA, DER dan BVSsebagai faktor fundamental secara bersama-sama dengan faktor teknikal (risikosaham) tidak berpengaruh terhadap return saham dan hubungannya tidak signifikankecuali DER. ROA, DER dan BVS serta risiko saham sebagai faktor teknikal secaraparsial juga tidak berpengaruh terhadap return saham. Hubungan yang signifikansecara parsial adalah DER dan Risk terhadap return saham

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh sikap manajer investasi melalui karyawan pelaksana terhadap kinerja portofolio reksadana saham, menganalisis besarnya pengaruh lingkungan organisasi bersama-sama sikap manajer investasi, melalui karyawan pelaksana terhadap kinerja portofolio reksadana saham dan menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan organisasi terhadap sikap manajer investasi pada perusahaan pengelola reksadana saham. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 72 perusahaan pengelola reksadana saham, dengan kuesioner yang diajukan kepada manajer investasi pengelola reksadana saham dan kepada karyawan pelaksana yang membantu dan mengelola perusahaan reksadana saham tersebut. Melalui analisis statistik anova, parameter koofesien determinan dan metode, yaitu Sharpe, Treynor dan Jensen untuk melihat ada tidaknya pengaruh sikap manajer investasi melalui karyawan pelaksana, lingkungan organisasi dan kinerja portofolio perusahan pengelola reksadana saham di Indonesia. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah pengaruh lingkungan organisasi (X1) terhadap karyawan pelaksana (X2) memiliki pengaruh terbesar, pengaruh lingkungan organisasi (X1) terhadap sikap manajer investasi (X3) memiliki pengaruh terbesar kedua, dan yang ketiga adalah pengaruh karyawan pelaksana (X2) terhadap kinerja dengan menggunakan (Y Treynor), urutan keempat pengaruh karyawan pelaksana (X2) terhadap kinerja dengan menggunakan (Y Jensen), dan yang terkecil pengaruh karyawan pelaksana (X2) terhadap kinerja dengan menggunakan (Y Sharpe). Dari hasil analisis dapat diketahui adanya suatu indikasi bahwa perusahaan reksadana lebih mementingkan pegawai dibandingkan orientasi pada return atau hasil yang diperoleh.Kata Kunci: sikap manajer investasi, karyawan

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan informasi di masa globalisasi menjadi kebutuhan yang utama, sehingga dibutuhkan suatu terobosan untuk mendapatkan informasi dengan mudah. Dengan kondisi tersebut, banyak metode yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan informasi bagi masyarakat umum, yang diikuti penggunaan teknologi informasi pada manajemen pengetahuan. Pada bidang pendidikan, perpustakaan yang merupakan sumber informasi harusnya menjadikan penggunanya mudah untuk mendapatkan informasi yang menyeluruh, lengkap, akurat dan cepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kualitas website perpustakaan oleh para penggunanya. Dimensi dari pengukuran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah (1) kualitas informasi, (2) interaksi antara kualitas dan sistem informasi dan (3) kegunaan dari interaksi komputer dan manusia. Formasi dari dimensi yang digunakan dikenal juga sebagai webqual analysis ( Bames and Vidgen, 2003). Data dihasilkan dari kuesioner yang disebarkan pada 150 pengguna website perpustakaan universitas, dan digunakan faktor analisis untuk mengetahui faktor yang memegang peranan penting dalam penentu kualitas website perpustakaan.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship development and income generating activities are a feasible solution for empowering women. It generates income and also provides flexible working hours according to the needs of home makers. Economic independence is the need of the hour. Participation in income generating activities helps in the overall empowerment of women. Empowering women through education, ideas, consciousness, mobilization and participatory approach can enable them to take their own decisions, make them self-reliant and self-confident. Past experience and network, correct business location, environment protection, less mistakes and orientation and training are positively influencing the business income of the women entrepreneurs. There are six independent groups of constraints are extracted and these factor are grouped as market constraints, institutional constraints, planning constraints, uncertainty constraints, policy constraints and information constraints. The training programmes should include identification and selection of potential entrepreneurs, and their motivation into entrepreneurial career through provision training and other inputs necessary to set up entrepreneurial units through micro-financing. Abstract

n general strategy establishment involved two main stages, strategy formulation and implementation. Most state-owned enterprises (BUMNs) have not had appropriate budget controlling. This unevenness reflects the disparity between real and expected condition. This phenomenon instigates the author to perform a research that focuses to discern the magnitude of the both partial and simultaneously influence of strategy formulation and strategy implementation on budget controlling. The research involves 10 BUMNs randomly chosen and to date are experiencing loss. Tested variables includestrategy formulation, strategy implementation and budget controlling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) built using AMOS 5 is applied in the study. Research results indicate that partially and simultaneously both strategy formulation and strategy implementation have significant positive effects on budget controlling. Strategy implementation have more dominant effect on budget controlling than strategy formulation, consecutively the determinant coefficients of both variables are 55,77% and 27,%.    Keywords: strategy formulation, strategy implementation, budget controlling

Abstract

The determination of dividend policy is influenced by two factors: financial and nonfinancial factors. The study focuses more on financial aspects that directly describe the condition of a company. The purpose of the study is thus to examine the effect of financial ratios which are consists of Return on Investment (ROI), Cash Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Earning per Share (EPS) on dividend policy. Dividend policy was measured using Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). Result shows that ROI, CR, DER and EPS significantly influence DPR simultaneously. Abstract

Banking and non-banking financial institutions entrench within their credit-lending policy the feasibility standards for their debtor candidates. Standards and procedures are established to avoid upcoming problematic credits, for example happened when a debtor is unable to pay the credit. The objective of this research is to identify factors that affect debtor’s feasibility in getting a loan/credit. For its study focus, this research uses Kopaas Hippatas a cooperative in Tasikmalaya. The influential factors are acquired using discriminant analysis. Discriminant analysis enables the authors to clearly identify the differences and to classify debtor candidates into potential non-problematic and problematic in the term of paying the loan. The analysis corroborates four factors in determining credit lending of Kopaas Hippatas, i.e. credit amount, debtor age, number of dependant and settled installments; also affirmed in this study are two predictors, i.e. number of dependant and proposed credit amount. Credit amount is confirmed as the most dominant and significant factor in categorizing the debtor behavior in term of paying the credit.Keywords: credit lending, postponed debtor, budget and installment

Abstract

The company's main objective is profit, so it can continue to live and develop in accordance with the principles of business continuity. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) offers the achievement level of profits by providing a positive contribution to the social environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of CSR activities to the level of profitability, income tax, corporate and operational costs. The object of this study is that manufacturing companies in BEI. Results showed that significantly affect of CSR for the profitability, income tax and operating costs of the company.Keywords: Corporate Social Responsibility, Profitability, income tax, corporate and operational costsAbstrakTujuan utama perusahaan adalah laba, sehingga mampu terus hidup dan berkembang sesuai dengan prinsip kelangsungan usaha. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) menawarkan pencapaian tingkat keuntungan dengan cara memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap lingkungan social. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pegaruh aktivitas CSR terhadap tingkat profitabilitas, pajak penghasilan, dan biaya operasional perusahaan. Obyek penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang telah go public. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas CSR signifikan memengaruhi profitabilitas, besaran pajak penghasilan dan biaya operasional perusahaan.Kata Kunci: Corporate Social Responsibility, Profitabilitas, Besaran Pajak Penghasilan, dan Biaya Operasi Perusahaan.

Abstract

This study is intended to analyze customer satisfaction by investigating factors which influence it, and proceed to investigate the influence of customer satisfaction toward word of mouth. The object of this research is Bank Danamon customers. Since satisfaction and word of mouth are subject to personally, questionnaire is used as research instrument. Questionnaire was distributed to 109 Bank Danamon customers. However, research variables can be categorized as dependent and independent variables. Independent variables are those which are used to measure service quality, such as tangibles (X1), reliability (X2), assurance (X3), and empathy (X4). Dependent variables are customer satisfaction and word of mouth. Result shows that only tangibles and empathy have positive effect on customer satisfaction. And also empirically prove that customer satisfaction influence word of mouth significantly.Keywords: tangibles, reliability, assurance, emphaty, satisfaction, word of mouth
