Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using natural masks to moisturize dry skin. This natural mask was made of ingredients that are safe to use and based on special formulations which include; bengkoang powder (2 grams), chocolate powder (1 gram), black cumin oil (0.6 ml), and honey (5 ml). This formulation was made so that the resultied mask formed paste stucture that can be directly applied. Masks were given to ten probandal women who have dry skin types and are 30-40 years old. Masks were used twice / week for six weeks (12 times usage). The instrument used to measure the moisture level of facial skin was a skin analyzer (HL-611) by directly attaching it to the face area and the results can be seen after 4-5 seconds. The data were analysed using ANOVA test 95% confidence interval and significance test using SPSS 15 for windows. The results showed that skin moisture values increased around 3.9% within 6 weeks of use, with a 0.8% increase at week 2, at week 4 there was an increase of 1.65% and at week 6 there was an increase in skin moisture by 1.4%. The moisture value of the skin on the face area (forehead, nose, chin, cheeks) showed no significant difference with almost the same value of humidity. It is recommended for dry skin types to use a face mask that contains oil as a skin lubricant and to protect water evaporation from the skin. It is necessary to do further testing on this natural mask so that safety on the skin can be guaranteed. It needs to be done so that the final product obtained meets the face mask safety quality standards set by the government. Keywords: Bengkuang; cocoa; black cumin; honey; natural mask.

Abstract

The proportion of practice in Midwifery education has 60% of capacity, more than the proportion of theories which is only 40%. The biggest proportion of practice makes the Clinical Advisor and Academic Advisor try to provide immediate feedback to students in every skill learned in the practice field. Interactive, effective and corrective feedback can help students to do self-reflection so while in the practice field students expected to be motivated to improve learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to define the effect of Interactive E-Monitoring implementation on self-reflection, motivation and learning outcomes of the student.A research population of this study is students of midwifery diploma program in thirdh semester of 2018/2019 Akademic year who take part in second Laboratory Learning Practices, which are spread over in 13 of independent midwife practice fields (PMB). Samples were taken in based on inclusion criteria, students who were guided by PK that included in the criteria and in aged 19-20 years were 56 students. Data analyzed, if the data is normally distributed then it uses paired t test and if the data is not normally distributed then it uses the Wilcoxon Test. The results showed that students self-reflection increased from 74.9 to 80.5 (p

Abstract

Maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still relatively high. The biggest cause of maternal mortality in Indonesia is bleeding. Most bleeding in the puerperium (75-80%) is uterine atony. Uterine atony is the most frequent cause of the occurrence of bleeding postpartum. This study aimed to analyze the risk factors for uterine atony in Cut Meutia General Hospital and Health Center PONED in North Aceh district. This study uses a case control design, as a case group, maternal postpartum hemorrhage with uterine atony and control group, maternal postpartum hemorrhage without uterine atony. The sample size for each selected group 69 (the number of cases during the period from 2015 to 2017) while the control selected at random with the same number as many as 69 cases. Data analysis using chi square and multiple logistic regression. The results of the research bivariable indicates a meaningful associated with uterine atony is preeclampsia with OR 10,30 (CI 95%: 2,91-36,41), twin pregnancy with OR 17,31 (CI 95%: 2,21-135,76), induction of labor with an OR 4,39 (CI 95%: 1,0-21,45), grande multipara with OR 4,52 (CI 95%: 1,61-12,73) compared with primipara. Multivariable those associated with uterine atony is the age of the mother with OR 2,98 (CI 95%: 0,56-15,82), preeclampsia with OR 20,27 (CI 95%: 4,66-88,20), induction of labor with an OR 6,69 (CI 95%: 1,12-39,95), twin pregnancy with OR 52,39 (CI 95%: 5,65-486,03), anemia with OR 3,06 (CI 95%: 1,07-8,69). This study concluded that parity, preeclampsia, twin pregnancy and labor induction were risk factors for the incidence of uterine atony with twin pregnancy as the most dominant factor in the incidence of uterine atony. Abstract

Data on users of contraceptive methods are needed to evaluate contraceptive use and plan for future needs. Changes in contraceptive methods and factors that influence the use of certain contraceptive methods are serious things to consider. The purpose of this study was to look at the dynamics and transition path of contraceptive use in Central Java. 2017 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) data, especially contraceptive use for couples of childbearing age (PUS) aged 15-49 years is a reference. The statistical method applied in this study is descriptive analysis and inferential test. The results of the analysis show a shift and transition from modern methods to traditional methods. The study also found a positive relationship between the choice of contraceptive methods used and EFA residence. There is a positive relationship between the variables of first marriage age, education and EFA residence to the change in contraceptive method. Keywords : KB; Purbalingga; Susenas; Temanggung.

Abstract

Leprosy is a disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae, will attack the skin and peripheral nerves, and is transmitted through the upper respiratory tract. Management of leprosy requires patient patience in treatment, because it takes a long time. Patient compliance in the treatment process determines the success of treatment. Healthy behavior in the management of leprosy treatment requires discipline in taking leprosy medication. Poor treatment management can have permanent damage to the limbs of the patient, which is the occurrence of disability. The purpose of this study was to determine the main factor dimensions of healthy behavior that affect leprosy compliance in consuming Multi Drug Therafi (MDT) of leprosy. The research design used cross sectional descriptive, the sampling technique used was a total sampling of 15 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire containing statements of compliance and healthy behavior consisting of dimensions of knowledge, attitudes and psychomotor, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results obtained that the factors of knowledge, attitudes, and psychomotor have a positive and significant effect on patient compliance consuming MDT (p value

Abstract

The improvement of wound care capabilityof nurses needs to be continually conducted due to the development in science and technology of the wound care. One way to improve the capabilityof the nurse can be achievedby conducting a training program. This paper is aimed to assess the effectiveness of the basic level wound care training program at Health Training Center (Bapelkes) of Batam in the improvement of the nurses’ capabilities in the Kepulauan Riau Province. Thisstudy implements qualitative descriptive method by using questionnaires as research instrument which were distributed to three groups of respondents, i.e. the alumni, the alumni’s mentors, and the alumni’s working partners, out of three training batches between 2011-2013. The variables evaluated in this study include performance, working motivation, professional competency, and training competency. Descriptive statistical analysis methods and analytic statistics (simple linear regression) are also used in data analysis. The results of the study show that the training program is effective in improving the nurses’ capability in all evaluated variables with the average improvement percentage of 96,88% (based on response of the alumni), 90,63% (based on the response of the alumni’s mentors), and 92,19% (based on the response of the alumni’s working partners). The study also concludes that the correlation of responsesamong the group of respondents showing that the correlation of the responses between the alumni and the alumni’s mentors is strongly significant with the coefficient correlation (R2) of 0.804 and strong with the R2 of 0,516 for the correlation of the responses between the alumni and the alumni’s working partners. This means that the assessment given by training alumni, alumni superiors and alumni colleagues is not biased and the three groups of respondents suppot each other/ have in common, assessments given by training alumni and above alumni have a very strong relationship with the correlation coefficient (R2) 0.804. Keywords : Post-training evaluation; wound care; nurse.
