Abstract

Cassava (Manihot esculenta) is one of the food crops that contain high carbohydrate and is used as a raw material for various industries. Cassava also contains several types of proteins, including beta-carotene. However, some plants also contain various levels of beta-carotene. Beta-carotene is one of the groups of carotenoids that serve as precursors of vitamin A. This bioinformatics study aims to determine the similarities and differences in the enzyme encoding genes involved in carotenoid biosynthesis pathways in cassava with several plants containing beta-carotene from nucleotide sequences and encoding gene proteins carotenoids (Lcy α and Lcy β). Data on nucleotide and protein sequences were obtained through the NCBI database. Similarities and differences in nucleotide and protein sequence data are seen from the phylogenetic tree using the MEGA 7.0 program. Based on the nucleotide gene Lcy α Manihot esculenta with several plants containing beta-carotene is not related. Based on the phylogenetic tree nucleotide sequence protein Lcy α and Lcy β Manihot esculenta with several plants containing beta-carotene there were differences in similarity

Abstract

This research was investigated using the Genetic Algebra Method for scheduling lectures and practicums. Genetic algorithms are used to solve problems that are modeled according to evolutionary principles in biological sciences. The application of the Genetic Algebraic Method for Scheduling Lectures and Practices is expected to be further developed into a computerized system that can replace the manual lecture scheduling and practicum methods so that it can produce a more accurate schedule with existing rules in a shorter time. The results of the use of the genetic algorithm method are obtained from the results of the data which are fixed scheduling lecture data and can be recommended for lectures according to the lecture schedule obtained from the results of generating genetic algorithms.

Abstract

This research purpose to investigate the community health degree in Jambi and Muaro Jambi City using a non-hierarchical cluster. This method based on community health building indicators with 22 sub-districts, eleven in Jambi City and 11 in Muaro Jambi district. The results was basically 22 sub-districts in Jambi City and District. Muaro Jambi already has a fairly good IPKM value, such as South Jambi sub-district, Red Paal, Jambi Market and Teluk Danau based on analysis of hierarchical bomb.

Abstract

Health care is a treatment received by the community provided by health workers. The quality of health services will provide satisfaction to health services. Service actions that affect the value of satisfaction are availability and completeness of facilities, physical evidence of administration, reliability of officers, responsiveness of officers, guarantees received by patients and families of patients, and empathy felt by patients. This level of satisfaction assessment is in the form of an ordinal scale that is not satisfied, less satisfied, satisfied and very satisfied. The analysis used to determine the level of satisfaction is by ordinal logistic regression analysis. The sample used in this study is the patient or family of patients at Raden Mattaher Hospital. The stages of data analysis used are the validity and reliability test, parameter estimation, model feasibility test, parameter significance test and the best model selection. The results of the analysis obtained the best models and with factors that influence the level of quality of health services at Raden Mattaher Hospital, namely physical evidence, availability and completeness of facilities and responsiveness.

Abstract

Several factors can affect the amount of investment credit issued by the bank. This study discusses the effect of interest rates, inflation rates, capita income, and the number of medium-large industries on the number of investment loans, using the method of linear regression analysis. The independent variables examined to determine the influence of each and all the independent variables on the number of investment loans in commercial banks, namely interest rates, inflation rates, capita income, and the number of medium-large industries using the parameter estimation method, OLS (Ordinary Least Square).

Abstract

This paper discusses Green’s matrix of nonlinear boundary value problem of first-order differential system with rectangular coeffisients, especially about its properties. In this case, the differential equation of the form with boundary conditions of the form and which is a real matrix with whose entries are continuous on and . , are nonsingular matrices such that and are constant vectors. To get the Green’s matrix and the assosiated generalized Green’s matrix, we change the boundary condition problem into an equivalent differential equation by using the properties of the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse, then its solution is found by using method of variation of parameters. The last we prove that the defined matrices satisfy the properties of green’s function. The result is the corresponding the Green’s matrix and the assosiated generalized Green’s matrix have the property of Green’s functions with the jump-discontinuity.

Abstract

This research purpose to observe the response of local duck, especially male duck that given African Leaf Flour (ALF) in the diet, toward body weight and blood cholesterol content. The treatment for this research will be given by differentiate the ALF level in five levels (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%) with four times replication. This research used Completely Randomized Design. This treatment is obsessed to 80 male ducks which are rearing from the age of 4 until 10 weeks. The result showed that the increasing of ALF level in diets, will highly significant increase the body weight growth (BWG) of duck, as the increasing value of BWG is 23.59% (P<0,01), and its similarly with the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The blood cholesterol content is decreasing to 7.41% for 1.5% the ALF level given (P<0,01), while the content of cholesterol-HDL and LDL has not significantly (P>0,05). However, the content of cholesterol-HDL in blood tend to increase along with the increasing of the ALF level given. Utilization of ALF level until 2.0% could increase the quality of local duck meat, because its produce higher meat production and improve the content of cholesterol for creating healthy animal food sources.

Abstract

Number of persons with autism in the world range of 60.000 - 150.000 autism occurred in children aged below 15 years. Therapy was given to improvement of social skills in autistic children Social Skills Training Therapy (SST). The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of Socialization Effects of SST for Autism Children (6 -12 years) in SLB Autism YPPA Padang 2015. Quasi - experimental design with one - group pre - post test. The population in this study all children with autism aged 6-12 year, and samples were taken by convenience sampling 30 people. Univariate date processing techniques while the frequency distribution and central tedensy and Bivariate date processing techniques with paired T - test. Results of research abilities children with autism after therapy SST, and light weight characteristic factors of symptoms associated with social skills of children with autism. Suggestions can be submitted to the study of nursing in order to detect early signs of the symptoms experienced by children with autism so there is no sign of severe symptoms and train the socialization skills of children with autism with SST therapy.

Abstract

The location of the study of Potential tree species for Peripheral Forest Development is determined by Lancang Kuning University, which is on Yos Sudarso road KM 8 Rumbai Pekanbaru, which is a fragmented habitat. The method used is census through measurement of area, structure observation, population enumeration, measurement of three dimensions. Calculating tree species diversity (H '), Assessing the suitability criteria of a type of tree for each type of green edge path area refers to the method of analyzing an integrated research plan, the important value index for the highest vegetation is acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) with a value amounting to 73.11. Acacia (Acacia auriculiformis) type of tree is less suitable. This is because the population is too high, where the debris that falls hard to decompose causes a thick pile when trampled slipperily and endangers safety, which eventually leaves litter accumulation causing soil conditions on the slopes to become soft because it is moist and has the potential to become landslides.

Abstract

Based on the results of the study that the test sample material using carbon steel pipe plate API 5L-X65 is in chamber. With the research using the three point loading method is the environment of CO2 gas and saturated H2S gas in a solution of 7900 ml of sea water and 100 ml ammonia, the corrosion phenomenon occurs. And the corrosion event that occurs, is stress corrosion cracking transgranular and intergranular based the results of microstructure test results and based the results of polarized microscopy test. The corrosion rate that occurs will increase with the deflection given to the larger test samples for the same exposure time, the corrosion rate that occurs will increase with the stress σ given to the test sample getting larger for the same exposure time and inside crack will get deeper with the deflection given to the test sample getting larger for the same exposure time.
