(Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The degradation in river water quality was triggered by the disposal of mining industry waste water that did not accordance with environmental quality standards. This has caused the damage to the aquatic biota ecosystem. The purpose of this research was to determine the effective handling of acid mine drainage which refers to the required quality standards so that it does not pollute the environment. This research was conducted using field observation methods, data collection, laboratory analysis, application of neutralization and coagulation methods and company monitoring documents collection compared to the quality standards issued by the Governor of South Sumatra Regulation Number 08 Year 2008 covering pH parameters, TSS, Fe and Mn. These are results from the research. First, PT Bukit Asam, Tbk produces liquid waste from production activities in Pit Air Laya with characteristics pH 4.28, Total Suspended Solid (TSS) 577 mg/l, Fe 9.1 mg/l and Mn 6.4 mg/l, pumped into a mud settling pond with a rate of blow 0.73 m3/sec. Second, the liquid waste is processed by adding 0.007 gr/l quicklime, 0.6 ml/l NaOH and 0.03 g/l kuriflok. Third, the waste water of PT Bukit Asam, Tbk has met the environmental quality standard requirements by the parameters of pH 7.6, TSS 6 mg/l, Fe 0.8 mg/l and Mn 0.6 mg/l. The results was obtained show that by giving amount of chemicals precisely, will delivere a quality of waste that accordance with the environmental quality standards so that it does not pollute the river as the receiving water body.

Ginting OE, Pratomo B, Anggraini S, Fachrial E, Novita A.  2020.  Effect of golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) as MOL and soaking time on the growth of mucuna bracteata. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx.  Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) is a pest on rice plants. Golden snails (Pomacea canaliculata) contain minerals that can be used as nutrients for plants so that they can be used as MOL (local microorganisms). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving MOL snails and the duration of immersion on the growth of Mucuna bracteata. This study used a factorial randomized block design experimental method with 2 replications. The first factor was the concentration of MOL snails (K) with 4 levels of treatment, namely K0 (0%), K1 (15%), K2 (30%), K3 (45%) while the second factor was immersion time (M) with 4 levels of treatment M0 (0 minutes), M1 (15 minutes), M2 (30 minutes), M3 (45 minutes). The results showed that the interaction between the concentration of MOL snails (Pomacea canaliculata) and the immersion time did not have a significant effect on all parameters. Various concentrations of MOL snail (Pomacea canaliculata) and immersion time did not significantly affect the growth of Mucuna bracteata.

This research is supported by policy implementation theory which consists of four indicators, namely communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out through field studies and literature studies which were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of regulations on reducing the use of plastic bags was effective. The communication carried out is fairly maximal by involving external and internal parties. In the aspect of resources, especially in terms of human resources, the Bogor City Government involves environmental activists and students to actively socialize officer number 61 of 2018. The bureaucratic structure is already running and well-coordinated, but in fact some officials have to work hard in supervising so that this rule runs in an orderly manner.

Abstract

Siahaan IN, Wasiq J, Kismartini K.  2020. Management of land use around mangroves for sustainable management of Semarang's coastal environment. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).One of the ecosystems in coastal area is mangrove ecosystem. Mangrove forests, which have the main function of preventing abrasion, wind protection, preventing sea water intrusion, and as an energy producer, have been converted into non-forest land in recent years, such as agriculture and fisheries. The coast of Semarang has mangrove ecosystem whose condition has been experiencing extensive degradation, due to abrasion and changes in land use. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of land around mangroves with changes in mangrove area in the Tugu District, Semarang. The method used in this research is descriptive research method. The data collection technique used was study of literature. The results showed that the coastal land area in Semarang City was 9,111.28 Ha (47.6%) and the water area was 10,048.80 Ha (52.4%). The area of mangroves in Tugu District currently reaches 48.2 Ha of the total mangrove area in Semarang City is 96.4 Ha. The area of land is dominated by ponds, rice fields, settlements and industry. The location of the mangrove forest has undergone conversion of mangroves into ponds, resulting in abrasion and disrupting people's livelihoods. This situation makes mangroves in vulnerable position, because the land can change its function at any time. On the other hand, some people depend for their livelihoods as fish farmers. Mangrove rehabilitation efforts as a sustainable environmental management effort must be made to improve Semarang's coast, both by the government and the community.

Abstract

Suretno ND, Adriyani FY. 2020. Agroindustry waste in packing house of banana “Mas Kirana” (Musa accumunata) for feed in Lampung province. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 Oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The agricultural commodities produce waste that is important for livestock. This study discusses the potential of banana packaging agro-industry waste for goat feed. The study was conducted at the Packing House (PH) “Nakula” that is packed Banana “Mas Kirana” in Sumberejo Tanggamus during February-July 2020. The sample were used are 30 bunches.  The observed variables were weight of banana bunch, weight of banana bunch in PH, number of combs, weight of wasted banana bunch (after a decent comb is taken), weight of stem bunch, and weight of rejected comb. The data were averaged and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that weight of banana bunch in PH is lower (11.51%) than farmers because PH only accepts bunch with one segment above top comb. “Mas Kirana” bunch weight from farmers is 6.08 ± 1.17 kg, meanwhile from PH is 5.38 ± 1.57 kg with ± 6 combs/bunch. Weight of stem bunch is 0.6 ± 0.2 kg and weight of rejected banana is 0.38 ± 0.2 kg. The total of waste in once production is 119,97-269,94 kg stem bunch (3.119,22–7.018,44 kg/year) and 75.97-170.92 kg rejected fruit (1.975,1 – 4.443,99 kg/year). These stem bunches can be used as feed for 2 - 4 goats per day, while the rejected bananas are sufficient for 3-6 goats per day. The result of proximate analysis showed protein content of stem bunch and rejected banana was 6.15% and 3.71%. After the silage process with 10% bran, the protein become 12.38% and 7.18%. Bunch, rejected banana and the silage have potential to be used as goat feed.
