Abstract

The phenomenon of anxiety experienced by graduate students not only because of the complexity of scientific research process, but also because of worrying to supervisor who guide as well as the methods used by supervisor during thesis guidance. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze students’ communication anxiety with the supervisor in the process of thesis guidance. This research was a study using a qualitative methodology. Data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and observation. The respondents involved were 2 and recruited through snowball sampling technique. The results found that the respondents experienced anxiety when communicated with the supervisor during the thesis guidance. Anxiety is caused by lack of communication skills and experience, reinforcement, degree of evaluation, subordinate status, and degree of dissimilarity.

Abstract

Coping behavior is defined as individuals’ transactions to cope with the various demands (internal and external). Coping strategies aim to address the situation and demands which pressing, challenging, taxing and exceed the resources (resources). Coping resources affects the coping strategies that will be done in addressing the issue. The aim of this article was to explore further coping stategies mentioned by several scholars, including Stuart and Sundeen (1991), Lazarus and Folkman (1984), as well as Friedman (1998).  Method used was literature review. Result found that coping strategies have two basic forms, namely problem focused form of coping mechanism/direct action and emotion focused of coping/palliative form

Abstract

This study aims to determine, factors cause narcissism in SMP Negeri 1Pangkajene, And the implementation of the exercise responsible for solving the problem of student narcissism SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene,  To find out how the implementation of the training is responsible for solving the problem of student narcissism SMP Negeri 1 Pangkajene. This research is qualitative research with Case Study study type. Technique of collecting data of this research is Observation (Observation), Interview (Interview), Documentation. Subjects in this case study study were determined by purposive are students who experience isolated problems caused by the narcissistic nature of the CNS. The results show that (1) Narcissistic forms experienced by the CNS can be seen by not being able to accept suggestions from others when they are unfavorable (egoism), often uttering offensive sentences (sadism), not caring about others Ignorant), often ruling others (curiosity), have their own assemblies that often gather with people who often give praise.

Abstract

Qualitative as the "art of understanding" is passed on as the expertise of the researcher to understand the object of research with the sophisticated efforts done through the art of speaking, the art of writing and the art of presenting what has been studied, as we can find in artists that produce fine art. Understanding qualitative research methods in guidance and counseling is viewed as an art. The term understand in qualitative research is the process of grasping the meaning of a phenomenon that is the target of interpretation in a study. In the implementation of guidance and counseling services, counselor seeks to understand the meaning of the problems of the counselee with the effort to capture the meaning or meaning of problematic faced by the counselee. The art of understanding qualitative research in guidance and counseling is a deep understanding of research methods that describe the object of research through procedures and data that are non numerical to the object of research, such as verbal data, text data, content analysis techniques, conversion analysis techniques, focus groups, analysis Discourse, and phenomenology to interpret the object of service phenomenon Guidance and Counseling.

Abstract

This study aimed to perform relationship between students perceptions on counselling practice with motivational student’s in to individual counselling process. Data collection was conducted against 288 students in Al Hidayah 1 Vocational School - Jakarta. Data analysis used the correlation coefficient test Gamma and Somers'D. The research findings showed coefficient Gamma and Somers'D test reached 0496 with Zhitung > Ztable or 6,523 > 1.96. It means there is a significant relationship and positive direction between the perceptions of students towards counselling and motivation of students followed individual counselling service

Abstract

Pernikahan merupakan prose's ikatan keluarga baru menuju keluarga masarakat secara Luas. Fenomena yang terjadi saat ini adalah prosentase perceraian meningkat. Hal ini ber dampak pada kondisi sosial pada umumnya seperti kesehatan, pekerjaan dan anak. Pada penelitian ini ingin melihat bagaimana peran Konseling Islam bagi persiapan pernikahan dan Pemilihan Pasangan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Konseling Islam yang dilakukan pada peserta memberikan peran bagi pemahaman tentang pernikahan dan Pemilihan Pasangan secara Islami. Informan penelitian ini ialah pada mahasiwa Univ swasta di Jakarta.

Abstract

Undergraduate research is the final project in order to completed the undergraduate degree. It is made by a college?s student under supervision. The direction process often cause anxiety for student. Anxiety is an emotional reaction of fear and anxious, thus requires the ability to control emotions such emotional intelligence. This study aimed to see the relationship of emotional intelligence and anxiety in Syiah Kuala University?s student while getting direction of research. The study was conducted on 257 student that were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by Schutte Emotional Intelligent Scale (SEIS) from Schutte, et al (1998) and anxiey scale of Depresion Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) that has been adapted by Damanik (2011). Data were analyzed by spearman technique with result p=0.000 (p=0.05) and correlation coefficient score -0.139. This show a negative relationship between emotional intelliegence and anxiety on Syiah Kuala University?s student while getting direction of research with 4.3% contribution (r-squared=0.043). It?s mean individual with the high level of emotional intelligence followed by the low level of anxiety, and vice versa.

Abstract

Comprehensive guidance and counseling programs are based on achievement of developmental tasks, potential development, and alleviation of counselee problems. Developmental tasks are formulated as competency standards to be achieved by counselors, so this approach is also called standard-based guidance and counseling. Standards of student competence refers to Standards Independence Competence Learners (SKKPD) which is divided into 11 aspects of development. Successful implementation of comprehensive guidance and counseling program is the fulfillment of six characteristics, namely holistic, systematic, balanced, proactive, integration in school curriculum, and reflection. Procedures in the preparation of comprehensive guidance and counseling programs are planning (planning), organizing (organizing), implementation (penging), and evaluation (evaluation). Implementation of guidance and counseling programs is supported by the availability of skilled human resources. Teacher guidance and counseling / counselors are expected a set of knowledge and skills that support the implementation of the program. A full knowledge of developmental theory. Counselor's skills are to coordinate with various parties in implementing guidance and counseling program. The counselor has a strong leadership in running the guidance program, and has a proportional time management skills that is 80% of the time counseling and guidance services are directive in the learners while 20% of the service time is for the activity of the program management and system support
